Hope you don’t mind the observation but I think you could do with a second cleanse. Perhaps use an oil/balm cleanser first then the La Roche Posay. There was a LOT on your towel. Could help with the acne/pimples - 13 hours is a long time, so good to be sure it’s all off. Would love to see your morning skincare routine too.

I love the double cleanse too. It was a total game changer for my skin. I start with an oil based cleansing balm, wipe off all the makeup (eye makeup too) with a warm microfiber cloth, then use a cleanser like the one Dominique uses. Clean towel! lol.
And I started using the nipple ointment on my lips a few years ago, thanks to you, Dominique! 😊

I agree. She needs Clinique take the day off cleansing balm to dissolve most of the makeup then the La Roche cleanser for the 2nd cleanse. Her towel had so much makeup still on it!

I use micellar water on 2 cotton pads (one for each side of my face, simultaneously to save time), followed by a cleanser. It saves my facecloths from so much foundation staining. Even after that, if I follow up with another round of micellar water on cotton pads, I will get the last bit of foundation residue and eye shadow coming off faintly.

My dermatologist told me everyone should use the double cleanse. Use the makeup remover and follow up with something like micellar water on a pad to remove what the cleanser left behind. Works wonders for me.

Dominique, what might help with the adult acne is doing a double-cleanse. Start with a oily, balmy cleanser first to break down all of that makeup then follow up with your LaRoche Posay cleanser. That will ensure that EVERYTHING is removed and it won't strip your skin of it's natural moisture barrier. Even with my super oily skin, I have found that my adult acne has almost entirely cleared up.

I use small fabric pony tail holders around my wrist, works beautiful.
I have 4, after a while I wash those 2 in with delicates and have spare 2 for next day.
I also removed my eye makeup with a cotton round and the Neutrogena, then wash my face twice. I noticed on your towel quite a bit of makeup was on the white towel, so that means your face is not totally clean of makeup. Be careful putting skin care on with makeup still on your skin. That can contribute to pimples, keep pillow cases washed often also.

I use a cleansing oil as my first cleanse and then I use Neutrogena creamy cleanser. The sodium laurel sulfate in the foaming products makes my skin break out. I also use curology, which has Trentanoin. Curology lists a website called COSDNA that lists irritating and acne prone ingredients in makeup and skin care products
and that helps eliminate the guest work for me. Thanks for sharing your nighttime routine. Going to check out melatonin to see if I might benefit from that at night. So glad Oscar is with you, what a cuddly companion.❤

So glad to see this! With 71 year old skin I have been trying my best to be so careful with eye makeup removal so I don’t end up accelerating the aged look! I use an oil based removal product but I would rather use non-oil based if possible. I do splurge on Revision DEJ eye cream (which I love) and Skinceuticals moisturizer.

Dominique, I have a 4:30 wakeup call, too, and I love it. I'm much less of a night owl now that I'm in my 60's. Love seeing the sun come up!
I've had great results using a double-cleanse, usually do a mini facial massage with Banila Clean It Zero or DHC cleansing oil followed by the same LRP cleanser you use. It removes my sunscreen and makeup, helped me with breakouts, and doesn't leave anything on my towels.

Dominique - try using castor oil on those bumps/acne. It’s a miracle as far as I’m concerned. I get a bump and dab a little castor oil on it and it’s pretty much gone the next morning. Try it!!!

WouldYou mind if I recommended a fantastic addition for your evening cleanse? The Ordinary squalene cleanser.
I use it on dry skin to remove make up and then finish with La Roche Posay wash. It can remove every scrap of eye make up without stinging. It's a great double cleanse routine and it's gentle on the skin xx

LOVE your channel! I have been watching you for years and love your content. If I may make a suggestion...It is very crucial to double cleanse your skin especially when getting off makeup. It was a game changer for my periodic breakouts. Once I incorporated that into my routine, I never had another problem.

@@orosco97 Hi! I actually rotate my products. When I have a full face of makeup on, I first cleanse with Drunk Elephant Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser. This stuff literally melts the makeup right off. A little (dime size) goes a long way. Then I follow up with either Clinique Take The Day Off, Mad Hippie or CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. Hope this helped!!

Good to see you are settling in well into life in Dallas and your new job. Double cleansing is the way to go to really get all that make up off, an oil cleanser first then follow-up with your normal cleanser, but when you see pimples coming up use a cleanser with salicylic acid, that will do the trick. Plus, be careful which essential oils you are using in your humidifier as darling Oscar shares the bed with you as not all essential oils agree with dogs xx

My nighttime skincare routine has turned into a nightly spa experience that I look forward to all day! I used to give my face a quick wash, and maaaybe moisturizer if I remembered, but NOW I've got a lazy susan filled to the brim with lotions and potions! I've noticed an enormous difference in my skin health, and my daughter has noted since I've been hydrating my skin and doing gua sha my lines has softened and my skin looks more dewy. Skin care = self care!
