    Thanks so much Jerry for posting these videos. You must have helped dozens of people fix their M17's with similar problems.
    Well done! 😎👍

    10/10 video. I'm really disappointed Sig is manufacturing such low quality pneumatic systems, but truthfully they are better than any of the competition.

    This guy is great. He helped me with a problem with my gun not shooting. And my gun just started doing this.
    This will be my next repair.
    Thanks again.

    This is genius. I'm pretty positive that THIS issue right here, is the problem a majority of people are having with this co2 SIG air gun leaking.
    Enough people have been having leaking issues that I'm sure quite a few people have worked on, an discovered remedies for the issue.
    I've seen quite a few video on UA-cam alone, about SIG M17 leak fixes. An this was also quite a deterrent when considering buying this air gun myself.
    Which of coarse I ended up doing today lol, an the guy was an asshole when i was inquiring about "returns" of the thing is busted out the box. So I bought an extra magazine, which I wanted an extra one anyways.
    An after watching this, I'm confident that I can remedy the issue if it happens to occur. The only thing now, is the god damn mom moved or lost the pipe threading ( pbc? or whatever ) tape lol.
    Of coarse when I might need it, we'll have to pick up a roll to keep on hand.
    Cheers, this will help allot of people.

    thanks so much for this.. I was ready to order a set of 0-rings and had already purchased a second complete mag...very very disapointed in Sig on this..my unit lasted exactly 3 air changes before it started leaking...now, thanks to you, I know how to remedy Sig's crummy manufacturing.

    Thank you for a quick and easy fix to an issue SIG needs address. My M17 arrives next week, hopefully they've upgraded the sealing washer spec/material in the newer guns. I'll be using it as a training tool for my wife and daughter so it will see a lot of use doing basic safety handling and shooting, then advancing to self defense draw and fire skills, then timed drills assuming the gun's report will activate my CE Pro2 shot timer.

      Молодец, элементарно решена проблема.
      У меня такой же, правда, пока всё нормально, хотя и отстрел около 1500 пуль. Привет из Беларуси.

    Jerry. Very good video and clear explanation. How long have you had your M17, and roughly how many shots fired? Trying to work out if this is wear-related or poor manufacturing tolerance. Considering buying a Sig M17 for indoor range practice or going for an Umerex G17 Gen4, so comments from owner of either most welcome. Thx

    Thanks for the great video I will try it out, as you say nothing to loose. I would like to ask for how long does this fix work? Is it permanent or after 10-20 co2 you need to repeat the procedure?

      Use of the gun should not affect this fix in any way. The white seal might start to leak at some point due to very small wear over a longer period of time - but that should not be the tape's fault. This is a very good and cheap diy fix whenever the mag starts to leak.

  • @jeffhealey9650
    @jeffhealey9650 2 роки тому

    Now how do you fix the leak if it starts to leak when you put the clip back into the gun before you shoot it, how do you fix that leak

    • @JERRYIRWIN41
      @JERRYIRWIN41  2 роки тому +1

      Change the o ring at the top of the mag , this seals around the pin that protrudes from the actual gun . When the mag is inserted the pin in the gun passes thru the o ring and then opens the poppet valve.
      hope this helps

    has anyone tried this? I've literally had one working cartridge in my m17 since purchase so is under warranty so imagine this would be covered to just replace the mag but a bit of a trip to my RFD. if others have found this working more than happy to do this rather than the warranty router lol

    Hello, Sir. First of all 1000 thanks for this video, as I will have to do the same job on two magazines I have here. I am 59 y/o now and I love replica guns since 1985 at least, but I am very ''new'' to this suject, so your video was and will be very precious to me. Also no stupid advertisments apeared during the 2 times I've seen this video!!! ( It almost never happens!! ) . I will also watch all your other videos. English is not my language, even though it is my prefered one. So please forgive my mistakes. Someday I will buy some SIGs replicas. What are your favorite replica gun brands?? I did not get what brand is this one of yours, so please could you tell me what is it?? Thank you.

    Mine leaks when I shove the clip all the way in do you think its the same problem?

    • @JERRYIRWIN41
      @JERRYIRWIN41  3 роки тому

      No, I dont think so...The problem i had was it leaked all the time. I would suggest if yours leaks when inserted into the gun that its the rubber o ring that the module pushes up against in the gun.. Only my opinion thow..
