This one was a mess and still needs rebuilt. Somebody had tightened the rear brake adjuster all the way in so the rear wheel was locked up. I think they did this to hide the fact that piston and crank were frozen.
I filled the case with WD-40 and let it sit to free the crank. Emptied it and repeated. And then repeated again with 2 stroke oil. A bit of rust inside so it will need a new crank as well as bearings.
Excellent! Let's rebuild this one, start to finish video. 🙂
I've got something like that in mind.
I've got a little nx50 I'm going to rebuild. Been collecting parts for awhile. Gonna be fun. First the engine swap on my little Japanese KEI truck.
nx50's are fun. I've had a few at least.
And someone cut off all the wires leading to rear brake light as well. Thank you whoever that was.
@@jackrutherford-1 the constant battle of reviving these is more difficult than ever. You ever use Treatland Moped?
Another saved urban running again!!

I’m dying at listening to it! You didn’t need to get closer to hear it rattling. Those poor bearings! Destined for the metal recycler anyway, I guess.
like a box of gravel

@@jackrutherford-1I’d like to get a Kroil spray bottle like Mustie1, but damn, that stuff is expensive.
