He told her what he would need from her if she wanted that role. She declined his offer. He moved on, found a woman he is more compatible with and started a family with her.

Her life revolves around the sea and surfing she's going to be in beachwear that's a given. What did he think would happen? Him laying down the rules to be in a relationship with him is also justified. These are just two people all up in their feelings being stupid and trying to hurt each other. You should be dating multiple women till one is your gf. They’re on probation for 10 dates, lift it to 3 months, lift it to 6 months, then a year. No one should be cohabiting with a bf or gf for at least 2 years.
You always go no contact when you hear a red flag, you never make her your gf when she’s in contact with or meeting with exes. If she asks you to be her bf then you have some rules like ditch those exes out of your life for one!!

Could of had the convo in person like a man, state the boundaries, and if she disagrees move on. Never be afraid to move on. Your self-worth is not determined by what woman is in your life.

The latest trend that has bugged me is seeing people talk so openly about mental health. In my social group, people love to talk about how they see a therapist... However, the mindsets between those who DO and DON'T go to therapy is drastic. The healthiest mindsets I know do NOT go to therapy, nor have they ever been. It is almost as if people want to justify their poor choices by going to a therapist, which is a negative feedback loop.
Nice take. I agree. In fact, a real terapist will tell you Not to talk about it, but apply it instead, work on it.

Yeh, it's really weird. As if oversharing is going to help things. If you have mental issues I can't think of anything worse than announcing it to the world, especially as a man. Just makes you look weak and pathetic.
The biggest issue with therapists, is the client withholds valuable info from the therapist then the therapist comments only on the bad information
Mental health and therapy has been shamed and thought of as weak.. However if you change your mindset and think of it as Life Coaching, you might find that therapy and coaching are very similar .. Channels like this one is a type of Life Coaching , Self help etc.. Its not to be used as a trend or to brag about, its meant to be learned and applied .. Many people come from horrible backgrounds where Parents either were abusive or not available.. Maybe in your experience you've seen no good results but in general if applied, it can work very well
Maybe it depends on the intentions of the "patient." If they're looking just for validation (and maybe pity) then yeah, it's gonna do F--- all. lol. But, if you are determined to improve your life then counseling may help. One component if you can find a good one. But, it's true- I bet that profession is a narcissist magnet.
