- Crew members from the 1995 No. 3 Goodwrench team discuss the secrecy and trend-setting idea behind Dale Earnhardt's "Silver Secret" Chevrolet which debuted at the All-Star Race that year. Austin Dillon will honor Earnhardt with a similar scheme in the 2018 Bojangles' Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. #NASCAR

Awesome job RCR! It is the best throwback this year!
Thanks!
Would have been cool to have Goodwrench back too..
GM Goodwrench doesn’t exist as a company anymore
By far the best throwback this year, awesome job! Cant wait to see it on the track at Darlington
2018 throwback of the year.
Richard Childress Racing thanks for letting us see the silver secret come back. Thanks so much!
It looks AWESOME!
Oh hell yeah I’m gonna get this diecast
Although mammaw earnhardt said she didn't want to see a black no. 3 I think throwback weekend for just one of those weekends at Darlington, would have to be an exception.
I don’t want to see a black #3 unless it is an Earnhardt and I think Richard or Austin would not want it unless it is an Earnhardt.
Winston Cup Racing was when Nascar was at it's Best . Great Racing , With Great Looking Cars & A Star Studded Field of Racers with Big Personalities
Earnhardt and RCR are the founding fathers of the paint scheme craze in Nascar
Thanks for sharing..
Check out how low Dale is in the seat. Probably beat the heck out of the floorboard to get the seat to sit a few inches lower.
That is the one thing in his cars he worked on himself usually. Probably the only thing Richard let him do himself.
Unreal
It grab everybody's attention, even in marketing. RCCA collectibles make just a few silver select Dale Earnhardt Sr die cast Elite cars. That die cast car started the Revolution and fueled the hunger for die cast collectibles.
i hate how they dont actually paint cars now
I miss Dale Earnhardt Sr and no one will replace him
he knew it.
I loved this car so much I bought the die cast
Best kept secret of nascar ever
I don't think momma Earnhardt would be happy with the paint scheme but Dale Earnhardt Sr would be very happy
Garrison Dreyer yeah she gets pissed about anything with 3 on it
Not black.
Love that car
kyle bush, good luck man.
do not ever try to pass me on the outside.
Love to know how they kept it a secret from the crew chief and guys who built the car.
This way great for nascar different paint scheme . who it would turn out like that a paint scheme crazy.
I wish they made it the full time scheme
100% i got into Darale
Have this paint scheme for a slot car when Dave Mader had his track in Mooresville Nc
Tht number should've been retired
the car in the RCR shop they where showing had black headlight lines. The 1995 Winston car did not?
You're right. It sure did. I even went back and did a Google search. The lines are so thin that it's hard to tell, but it definitely had a red outline for the headlights. Not a huge deal, but a decent oversight by the people at the RCR Museum when they repainted and decaled the car for the museum.
It crashed at the Winston.
@@dennismassengill5481 Yeah, but you would think they would get every little detail right.
I got into Darale
Dale sits low in the car. physics.
i saw this car flex
I thought it was called quick silver
Technically it was called Quick Silver.
Thomas Rowan yeah the diecast I have says quick silver
Still waiting for the black #3 throwback in 2024.
Let Austin put GM Goodrich on car . He is Richards Grandson and would be another tribute to Dale. It would feel even more like Dale is at the track in spirit. Just opinion not trying to disrespect Dale in anyway just think it would honor him. I’m a diehard Childress fan.
Is the Monte Carlo not allowed to race anymore or they don’t wanna race it but I love the camaro
There is no production car for the monte carlo.. that's why ots not on the track
I think the 3 should be retired Austin doesn't do the number justice. It's a insult I was a big Earnhardt fan Nascar hasn't been the same... Just being honest & bold
I understand that Dale was one of the best nascar drivers and that he deserves all the respect, but he won't be back, I see no reason to keep the number to no one just because there was a great driver
to the right.
listen to a 358 idle.
Dale wrecked it racing hard with Darrell Waltrip
at charlotte
the engine, i save it. the car was wrecked
.
Dale hated this car.. Told them to junk it and he never wanted to see it again after the All-Star race where he caused himself and Waltrip to wreck and injured Waltrip.
was it too intimidating
a chevy.
sir i know you own the #3 but that number should be retired with all due respect of us the fans dale was and will always be the best driver nascar has seen there will be no other jr was close but not the same
@smokies Gary.. I understand with you on it. But before Dale drove for Richard. It was Richard's number.. so yes Dale made the most for that number.. but It was Richard's first.
I can respect that makes sense too
came in to hot,i wrecked him
Never should've brought it back
Yeh this was dales color austin could race for a hundred years and probably wont win another race
sugar cout it, i wrecked Darale. state it
wrecked him, my faoult.
wrecked
wreck Darale 95 all star race.
To bad that NBCSN prefers the stick and ball sports over NASCAR so we could see the cars practice today. Videos to morrow are not the same. This is the worst NASCAR TV coverage I have ever seen been that way since nbc took over the 2 nd half
admit defeat.
I think 3 should be retired
wreck Darale. state it
