This is true, although there are some part of the country that are still catching up, i believe the general population is not as hostile especially in big cities. when it comes to basic human right, is a must and priority for us and the government. Most of the time they make fun of us on this continent

My advice…don’t count on safety as the crime atmosphere in South Africa is constantly changing based on the areas…there is no real safe place thanks to poverty and our government’s love for organized crime syndicates

Hey Jules. Loved this video. I feel for your lifestyle, Johannesburg is more suited. Also, properties in Johannesburg are cheaper than the properties in Cape Town. Cape Town is quite expensive.

I got you. I have the same problem when companies ask me for my address. I have been living the same life for three years and half as a female. Now I feel the need to have a place I can ca home. Not a rental where I need to give report to a landlord, but my own place. Good luck in finding your new home
Hey Julian. Try a building called Hallmark in Johannesburg. I don't know if they got a pool but they got back up generators in cases of load shedding. Do some digging and good luck ❤️
Check out Durban too in South Africa. My cousin is in Capetown he has a hair business there called Hunny Bun. Satin in Joberg is nice. Durban is affordable you might can get a place too the beach

All aspects of u. Home is your place to relax and not stress, in the wrong environment can make that harder.

I wonder which WiFi network service they're using there, because most of our networks are really good, but there are those few that are not so good. Johannesburg is a good choice, Cape Town is a bit more expensive. I'm not a part of the gay community in any way but I'm glad you find this country as a place to call home so I wish you all the best. I've been watching you since the first time you arrived here in South Africa, mostly the video's that you spend your time here. Get your home and choose well so that you can be in the country for as long as you wish.

Also.. check put MUNYAKA in Johannesburg for rentals. The construction of the lagoon is almost done. It is gorgeous. Artificial beach front living in the middle of Johannesburg, crazy hey.. Balwin Properties is doing the most.

Biggest downside about SA is obviously loadshedding so select your area carefully. Be strategic in picking a place that doesn't get loadshed.

Cape Town Tourism Board should snap you up as one of their North America influencers. CT is the pinkest of our cities 🏳️🌈and attracts many international (Western Europe, North America and Asia) LGBTQ tourists& holiday home residents
Just only snag I see with your plan to buy property in SA is how you will secure residence so you’re in SA more than 90days to enjoy your place, as getting SA residence isn’t easy unless you’re a required skilled professional(and those are usually in highly qualified sectors and estate agents and content creators aren’t on that skills list) Hope you get an immigration lawyer.
For living you’d definitely need to be permanently in Jhb, way more cosmopolitan and equal playing field there. Do visit Cape Town and Durban as they are great coastal laid back vibes cities but also see more of SA, you’ve barely experienced our country btw…there’s so much more in our diverse tourism industry, diverse racial population & cultures honestly unmatched, we have the whole world right here.

I think you are right about Joburg for opportunities. Cape Town is more for holiday. All depending on personality but you seem slightly more Joburg to me. I am with you about the kitchen cabinet color..... It's a no.
Hi bro, you would need to get a temporary residence permit before you buy a home. Otherwise you'll be stuck with your 3 month tourist visas and will have to leave and return all the time. Getting a temporary residency isn't always easy. For example if you're a foreigner wanting a business permit (temp residency permit) you need a 6 million rand investment (requirement from home affairs). I've heard of people waiting up to 2 years to get that application processed. In any case, good luck.
There are different types of Visas in SA, added to the revised list is the "Digital Nomad Visa".
@@Praslin Although there are a number of different types of visas, such as a critical skills work visa (if he wants/can get a job in south Africa that requires a critical skill) there is no digital nomad visa (at least not yet). It was a proposal/under consideration and hasn't been officially been implemented by DHA.
Yes think you’re right, as he doesn’t fit in my view, any critical skills visa criteria(content creation and being a realtor aren’t critical skills in SA), think he might struggle with resident visa for South Africa so this journey for him should be interesting and could be frustrating when he realizes he might be stuck with 90 day visas for SA unless he starts a genuine tax paying business registered in SA
Move to Johannesburg but visit CT. Cape Town is a nice destination to visit not a permanent stay
