I just discovered you yesterday, Dr Lori. I come from a family of women who love antiques, love garage sales and live to hit up the thrift stores. It never occurred to me I could be making money doing this. Now my Mother, my Aunt and I are binge watching your videos and have ordered our loopes. We are super excited that our passion for bargains could actually be parlayed into something. I just want to wish you a Happy New Year and let you know we are so excited to have discovered you.
Wow, this is just fascinating! Thank you so much for your channel. I recently discovered it and I think I will really enjoy it. I resell, and my husband has started going with me to thrift stores. He has found things that I probably wouldn’t have even looked twice at, and he has made some good discoveries! Recently he found two plates, And that put me on the path to Facebook and UA-cam to find further information, after I had done research online. That’s how I discovered your channel, just a day or two ago. I am so looking forward to watching more of your videos. I’m looking forward to learning from you, and you are entertaining as well! I feel like a whole new world is opening up to me… My parents used to work at auctions. They still do, but I don’t live close to them anymore. But I always thought it was neat when they could identify what something was. It’s exciting that I’m starting to learn things too. So, thanks again, and I am very much looking forward to watching more.

@@DIAMONDGOIL Like, ¿¿¿qué???🤯 Why is it that I never get so lucky? Perhaps someday ... one day ... Or I'd like to be *that* person who walks into a thrift shop with a wad of cash and walks out with a legit original Picasso litho that I purchased for $5 -- which, after I submit photos to Dr. Lori, she appraises for $5K ... which hopefully wouldn't cause me to go into cardiac arrest, because, if I don't make it, my funeral could be $10K ... 😆

Dr. Lori, it is a privilege to be able to watch your videos. I can’t get out often due to crippling arthritis and in my area we have no goodwill bins. So, where and how do you find a Goodwill blue box? I have literal boxes of costume jewelry from my mother-in-law, thrifting (years ago), and some I bought myself in the 60’s. I am watching you all I can, because I have no one who would want to have theses treasures (and I am old) and quite frankly, I could use the money. I would love to have you look at my grandmothers ring that she left to me. Its yellow gold, VERY thick setting and a unique design (instead of a circular band, its more like a twist tie with the two ends crossed over each other). There is a main diamond (guessing around 1.25ct, 6 prong), then there are 6 smaller stones (4 prong each) in sort of a descending order in size, from 1/4ct down to 1/10ct (if thats even a thing). Granny had the ring resized at some point so, unfortunately, there are no markings at all inside. I know one thing... it looks like its on fire even in a dark room. I like to wear it on my pinky when watching a good mobster movie.
I was right, it looked like Prasiolite to me. I love the stuff - has this soft watery green color like older Aquamarine does. Those are not small stones either.
