It has its flaws, but then people who decided to buy already knew about those flaws and once you are at peace with the decision you'll have good things to talk about ignoring the flaws.

The Jimny is undoubtedly an excellent off-road machine, perfect for tackling hilly terrains and rugged trails. However, in urban areas, its compact size might feel cramped for families, the stiff suspension can be uncomfortable on city roads, and fuel efficiency could be a concern. Maneuvering in tight traffic might be easy, but limited cargo space and rear seat comfort make it less practical for everyday city use. Great for adventure, but think twice for urban practicality!
I completely agree with the assessment and this, wanted to check what other Jimny owners thought. The rear seat is okay for smaller trips, but under thigh support is bad. It falls into that lifestyle vehicle category to some extent, but I'm glad the 5 door version has some practicality with whatever boot space we have 😅. Fuel efficiency is definitely a concern.
I am literally alive today because of the jimny. I had encountered a deadly situation when I found myself under sudden cloudburst and rocks shooting in Zhanskar in July 2024 and I only live because of the Jimny’s off-roading capabilities small size and tough body. So yeah this car truly shines in the mountains and rough terrains.
Haha, what part of Solan do you live in? I agree, the compact size is amazing for our cities in Himachal. Mujhe bikes and scooty walon se darr lagta hai and mai Solan Mall road Jimny lekar nahi gaya 😂

I would like to add one drawback , jimny needs cornering headlamps. In alpha model projector Leds have very good throw but in L or U type bends there is no visibility in corners . considering its a offroad vehicle and driving in hilly areas this is a must have feature.
So far good . Have driven 600kms only though. Fuel capacity is a big concern given the bad mileage. Feels underpowered in highway. A powerful beast in the hill. Suspension is better than i expected, on a softer side for a lifestyle vehicle but no complains. Shifting gears is not very smooth yet not really a concern tho. Again fuel tank could have been atleast 60

I get about 12kmpl in the city (hills) and 40lts of tank capacity doesn't help the cause. It is very capable though so that puts a smile on my face everytime I sit inside. I love the suspension setup. Mine's an automatic so haven't really noticed an issue with gear shifts as I like to drive slowly and the 4 speed AT does the job.
Assuming you were asking me for my opinion - 3 things I like - 1- The compact size is great for the hills where I live. High seating position offers great confidence. 2- A proper 4x4 in this price segment. I also love that it is old school and doesn't have unnecessary gadgets and screens. 3- I like the ride quality even though it's a ladder in frame. The go anywhere nature puts a smile on my face everytime I take the offbeat path. 3 Things I don't like or could have been better - 1- The vehicle could have been a bit wider and that should have allowed some extra storage space such as a simple bottle holder in the doors. 2- The rear seats and their under thigh support isn't great for long trips. 3- I hate the fact that being a Suzuki vehicle, the mileage isn't great. I get an average fuel efficiency of 12kmpl. Highway Drives are better at 15-16kmpl, but city rides are close to 11-12kmpl
I upgraded the fog lamps and they work wonders now, but I feel the music system is adequate for what it offers and does. It is decent, but then that's my perspective 😅

Agreed. Cornering headlamps would have been great for sharp bends when it comes to visibility. Little things make a lot of difference.
