it was my switch so I took it out and bypassed it. no more problems. Thank you! ( he didn't tell me to bypass it, I used to sell these. my first was the D-series. 2nd was one I found at a yard sale from the 1930's. Worked great, paid $5 for it. )
@@a.yoriaiyeola-scott2954 disconnect and remove swith then connect wire directly. Be sure to solder and insulate. Use connectors if you can. If uncertain which wires consult a professional. Rainbow service centers will tell you not to disconnect and of course if its under warranty dont do it. Used models can be found under $150. Better than taking existing one to a service center and paying hundreds.
It didn't work at first when I pressed the safety switch. I then unscrewed the 2 screws (covering the safety switch) & found a loose plastic thingy🤔, put in place, install the bowl, plugged the power, & it worked.😃 Thank you.😎

You all probably dont care but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.
I feel soooooo stupid. My radio would not turn on, it's controlled by a light switch. So i used my Rainbow to check the outlet. Nothing. Checked all the outlets in the room, nothing. Starting to panic. Check all the wiring, all good. Discovered the radio power switch was turned off. Still could not get the Rainbow to turn on. Checking UA-cam on how to replace the switch, it had to be a bad switch. After 3 videos I stumbled upon this one. Discovered that you must have the bowl in the sweeper for it to turn on !!!!!!! At least I did not spend money on a switch that I did not need.

Our Rainbow vacuum suddenly have a burning smell when I'm using it , and after that no more power, so when I watch this video I've try to do what you teach to pressed the bottom but still no power, so what do you think Sir is the problem of our vacuum . We have the same model in your video.
I did that, turned it upside down, then tested that safety switch, it came on, put it all back together. Filled the bowl, worked for about 3 minutes and shut off again. I think it's the on off butterfly switch, it feels sloppy.
Hello, my vac turns on but the handle won’t allow the vac head to vacum. I slide the button up and down and it won’t do anything. I checked all what I know to check and everything seems fine. My vac is past the 7 yr mark so the warranty has ran out. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, I have the e2 black and I notice that when I turn off the vacuum the motor kinda drags. How do I clean the motor? Oh, I have 3 German Shepherds and I know it's pretty hairy in there. Lol!
Hello, my rainbow (e2 black) is absorbing well on vacuuming, however, it's not going directly to the bowl. The vacuum cleaned my carpet, but the bowl with water is still clean.
Rocking the switch back the motor runs low, rocking it forward I get no light and no power. Could it be the switch itself? I turned It over and used the safety switch and the back rocker works but no light no motor when set to vacuum mode. Anyone fix that, please msg me!
