Thank you! I have the 500's with a big amp like the Rotel 1592 MK2 and the bass are amazing, so powerfull, with high power the 500´s don´t need a sub!

I have these paired with the CXA81 and Emotiva ERC-4 CD player using balanced analog interconnect to the CXA and I have to say it’s by far the best system I’ve ever owned although far from the most expensive. It’s just musical, and it’s almost like it’s enthusiastic, if such a thing were possible for electronics. I never get fatigued. I strongly recommend giving a listen if shopping for speakers at this price point.

Ash finish is a must with these, not just the best but also most aesthetically pleasing speaker in this price class. It's all about that Real wood veneer.

Mine took at least 30 hours for the woofers to burn in. Once they loosen up I heard a big difference out of them.

Will you be trying out the Gold series ? I hope you do. I've heard they truly sound special. Also could you please review the NAD C399 with BlueOS streaming and compare it to the Attessa and the Cambridge CX81. Also will you be reviewing the Cambridge 100W amp aswell ? I'm saving up for S3007G and I can't decide which amp to go for. I want say Attessa with streaming bluesound but then I've heard how good the Cambridge CX81 is with the Cambridge streamer. I was also looking at the NAD C399 with hdmi and streaming but no one has reviewed it with these speakers. Also the Roksan Black and K3 were also on my list but then I would need a separate streamer. So I'm not sure what is going to be the best combination for me. I don't want a bright or fatiguing sound where my brain and ears hurt for longer listening sessions. I would like good resolution and details in good PRAT precision rythem and timing good vocals and controlled bass. my room is a small room like 14 by 15 feet. So the 500's might be too big for my room.

Also, the CXN streamer is easily the best streamer I have used thus far.

Hey, thanks for the review. Appreciate it. How does it compare to a similar Bronze series model ?? How much of an improvement the silver series is from the Bronze ?? Apart from that, just a suggestion, you are talking way too close to the mic.

    Hi
I have Arcam SA20..you think this amp will be good enough for those speakers.
    My room is approx 30m2..
Are the silver 300 7g would be ok size wise or the 500 ?
    Thanks

@@user-uy8so9rx4p lol ok that makes more sense, thanks for explaining it to me (I suck at math)! I think you’d be fine with your amp, though if you got the 300’s you won’t be as tempted to upgrade your amp!

One thing I dont understand: the cxa81 delivers 80W and on the technical specs of the speakers, the recommended amplifier requirements are 80-250W (!). Are this requirements from monitor audio serious? It is hard/impossible to find any amp from audiolab/cambridge/rotel that goes above 80W… so that confuses me… do you have an explanation for that. Are the 80W of the cxa81 really enough to “feed” those beasts? Thanks

    • @0102studio
      @0102studio  Місяць тому +1

They’re big speakers. And powering such speakers to their fullest requires a good amount of power. You can however use the base 80w thats available in most amps, 100w is fine too. But more will give you more headroom.

      Thanks for your reply =)
Can you (or anyone) recommend an amp that works good with this speakers and has more power than the mainstream CA/Audiolab/Rotel/Etc. that hardly go beyond 80W?

That makes sense, both of those are priced much higher and generally need to paired with amps of that caliber.

I think if you are going to use the speaker grills then you definitely need one of the 2 black colours as they are so dam ugly and hopefully will blend in with the black 😁

I Had the Silver 8's which are few generations old but were the equivalent to the 300's. In this generation, I was told the Silver 8 more cohesive than the Silver 10's.
