From one of the new Danuser interviews he claims the void is opposite to titans and order with their power structure. Maybe nzoth IS void, but there's a greater threat of his own cosmic power that even he fears. The void lords.
Nzoth is but one of numerous cancerous cells sent across the cosmos to try and corrupt world souls for the Void Lords. He fears his masters but serves them still.
there s titan book which tells us old gods are from pieces of void that got to our cosmos and manage to corrupt in some planets, it s based on what titans tell us which u shouldn t really believe based on what is probadly to come, but am just sayin
Well based on the Titans, we can't trust what they say, after all the saying " History is Written by the Victor"
Who are these Void Lords? We've never seen anything that even looks like one that has been a threat. Everything that resembled the power of the Void has been defeated so easily. I think N'Zoth (or at least what he does: driving people insane) is the strongest and greatest threat that could ever be. Size and weapons mean nothing when you're driven insane and your will is no longer your own, after all. I really can't believe we killed him with the Power of Friendship. He existed a hero, and died an useless, weak villain.

i mean when you think about it, since nzoth is all about subtlety even though we only really saw him in a part of bfa, he pretty much had 2 expansions to himself

Classic (CThun), TBC (Legion and Illidan), WotLK (YoggSaron and Lich King, made by Legion, well by Nathrezim serving the Jailer as we now know, but still), Cataclysm (NZoth), Pandas (in the end about Yshaarj), Warlords (in the end about Legion), Legion, BfA (NZoth)
@@AlphaAttila actually vanilla was about both scourge, legion, and old gods, since you kill kel'thuzad at the end of storming his necropolis, alongside having had killed c'thun, ragnaros, nefarian, onyxia, and more, such as lord kazzak, though he somehow survived and became directly responsible for the events of tbc, since it was he who reactivated the dark portal

@@giannihenk There is more to the old gods. Ignoth the one boss still had secrets he wisperes about. In Emerald nightmare he told us what was going to happen. Some of which still needs to happen

The idea of the Old Gods being these immensly powerful eldritch horrors beyond our reality was great but now they are reduced to just blobs with eyes and tentacles to be whacked.
It would be nice if they went the 40k warhammer route and players could choose between the factions, void lords, old gods, titans, burning legion, lich king, etc.
@@emmanuel_40 Void Lords and Old Gods are pretty much on the same side. The Old Gods were created to corrupt Titan Souls for the Void Lords after all. I'd like that idea of 40k warhammer route though, I'd honestly have to join either the Burning Legion or the Void

I would like to think those were merely weekend versions of the old gods and we fight them in the visions not reality.

Me and my old guild before I lefted wow we had struggs with nzoth on normal difficult we won on almost 12 am while It was an school week most of the people of the raid gived up but I didn't gived up with few other people we finally beated nozth than I went straight asleep

Heres the weird thing. It's all a VISION. He keeps mentioning it, refers to Ny'alotha as a vision of what is to come. His physcal form left the final prison as well. Did we truly defeat him? Lovecraftian beings tend to like to screw with reality.
Yeah except the old gods of WoW are massively weaker than Lovecrafts outer beings and gods, hell Cuthulu is considered among the gods to be beneath them and he could easily handle azeroth just by waking, can't get near him without risking madness.
And the others saying their name properly can cause madness or deat, possibly both.

@@RvnWolf We would not have all those memorable, difficult boss fights throughout the game's history if they were that powerful. Though, Old God fights are some of the hardest out of all WoW raiding.
@@superdaveozy7863 I know C'Thuun was the hardest, but that was because of the numbers being off when he was released in being nearly impossible to beat.
But I dunno the other three dont seem that difficult or challenging.

It does feel like that is the direction they're taking.
"save" is up for debate. Given as it seems right now N'Zoth is still no different than the other old gods and by that nothing but a minion of the void lords without any deeper lore that could give him a twist (i would have so loved it if N'Zoth over the time had came to view us as his children (given he made so many races mortals and sentinel to begin with like the Humans, dwarfs and gnomes) and had decided to turn against the Void Lords and even wage war against the Light in the name of his children (as the Light is in no way different than the void. Both corrupting forces). But in the very least he is not an ally of Sylvanas. Sylvanas wants death and the void lords dont want to kill, they want to corrupt and they cant corrupt what is dead or undead (a reason why Arthas was a thorn in their eyes).
I feel alone siding Sargeras and the burning legion. Other players are siding the Corruptor and I AM unable to do anything! I have no time to waste.
Old Gods are the source of humanity's flesh, this makes humans kind of hybrid between the Void (Old Gods) and the Light (Titans)

Darin DePaul plays such interesting evil characters with this voice. Emperor Valkorion from Star Wars: The Old Republic is another character thats voiced by him and sounds very similar.

I think Blizz did an amazing on all the old gods, C'Thune spooky...Yogg mysterious, Y'Shraaj powerful (him being dead and his heart able to cause a lot of destruction as is) & N'zoth being a mixture of all other 3..hell a FRAGMENT of him (Il'gynoth) was very powerful and a personal favorite of mine..plus the voices are amazing! Hell, look at the Lich King, as Arthas it was disgustingly badass..even as Bolvar!

I honestly don't think nzoth is dead for good, we saw what he did with wrathion at the beginning of the raid so perhaps the entire thing was a vision. Even if it wasn't he may have been reoroginated, what that could mean for an old god I'm not exactly sure but it could lead to some interesting lore
The Void should be something that players should be able to follow or pursue in the game.
The Light only sees one way. Example: Illidan in Legions.
The Void sees countless ways, giving you the choice of choosing. "Your eyes are opened" to the possibilities, now choose.

@@brunom7162 He has a point tho. If N'Zoth really died then they pretty much much took his entire lore and took a giant dump on it. Alas Blizzard said that if we believe that what happened (or think happened for the matter) is the only possible outcome then we didnt learn anything from what N'Zoth teached us. Which is further supported by the fact that several players are the defacto champions of N'Zoth. Ultimately siding with him than Azeroth. Its the same like with what happened to Sylvannas. Several players are still loyal to her and have given additional lore if they remained loyal just like players with the Gift of N'Zoth can deny that N'Zoth died in Ny'Alotha (and who would know more than the person responsible for his "demise") to several NPCs.
Guess we will find out after Shadowlands as its highly expected that when we return from the Shadowlands that around 40 years will have passed with time within the Shadowlands flowing more slowly.
@@chumchuumm I sided with N'zoth rather than Azeroth and the inquisitive light or Sylvanas and her anger towards life. Something tells me that the true betrayer is Eonar. N'zoth will surely mess with reality or corrupt the shadowlands so this endless circle of life and death is over. Maybe taking full control of the Jailer
Well as we know N'zoth knew that he will lose so i'm sure that he is not dead or even if he is it wouldn't matter since his corruption remains in us (the Gift wielders, or the wielders of N'yleth), also as all of void says there are unlimited paths and the truth is not 100% the real path.
I'd like that idea, honestly though I'd pick the Void. I'd pick the Void because it seems all-knowing, yet ignorant to an extent but we know a lot about the Light, not so much the Void. I hope there's a Void expansion after Shadowlands where we can do something like that.

I agree 100% with this let me side with daddy N’zoth and be one of his servants. I hope those with the gift have a special mechanic in the raid.
You get to keep the Gift of N'zoth after the raid (there's even special NPCs with dialogue about his defeat), and a new title "Servant of N'zoth" that you get from the Unseen Presence (N'zoth) to prove your loyalty to him by killing ten players of your own faction.
So you can theoretically stay loyal to N'zoth but you still have to kill him in the raid.
Adrian von Ziegler is the Old Gods' unofficial composer, apparently.

Hearing these again now with the current Dragonflight story and the whole timeways stuff, a lot of these quotes where he is talking directly to the player seem more prominent. Like he has always known us from thousands of years ago
I really think that in a fair fight the Void would win since they know unlimited paths when the light just sees one.
Plus, we have utterly no idea how powerful the Void Lords are with our very limited knowledge on them.
@@3DTyrant I'm not sure but i remember hearing that the void lords are actually stronger then the titans, they just can't manifistate thats why they can't really put up a fight. Though the world of the Ethereals was destroyed by a vod lord that managed to manifistate, and based how the ethereals look now... well void lord are strong.

I start to believe he let Xal'atath leave, so he could hide inside the dagger once they made physical contact in Ny'alotha, leaving just a puppet behind to convince us that we had won over him, while he safely hid away in the dagger that nobody retrieved or mentioned since the explosion. Now he waits for shadowlands to play out one way or another. At least that would make a bit more sense for the master of cunning that he supposedly was than his canonical ending (for now).
Xal'atath also thanks us for gaining entry into the Seat of the Pantheon during the Antorus fight. One more victory for the Void - ultimately every access point to Azeroth.

So it can be taken seriously, but at the same time can't be taken seriously.
He tries to make your character in the game his herald, and the they in the situation is the rest of the raid group...I think
He is trying to corrupt the player. Saying basically "They" meaning people of Azeroth. What is coming is his black empire and a herald is an official messenger. So in short he is trying to covert the player into a messenger of the black empires' rise.
