    I had the pleasure of meeting the band and shaking Jarvis’ hand. They all signed my copy of their album(CD). Jarvis is pure class.

    heard this track in 1991, recording rage with long play tapes, trawling for hip hop, and it always stayed in my head, so good.

    A wonderful song from their last 'really' big album, 'Separations'. Great band...

      So, his and hers, different class and this is hardcore aren't great albums? Be honest they are quite better

    • @jarobles80
      @jarobles80 2 роки тому

      @@noelreverberation I guess taste is subjective.
      I understand what he meant.
      His n Hers, and Different Class made Pulp famous over the world, they found their sound, for fit in commercial mass music (called britpop).
      But some old songs have an original and creative sound, for a few people, that some fans like more.
      I do think Pulp evolved and got better quality songs later.
      Some bands have lived similar changes, for instance, The Verve.
      In South America, most people only know their album Urban Hymns, because of the hit Bittersweet symphony and a couple of ballads. While a real fan could say earlier albums are much better.

    @grahamlyons2000 - I've got quite a lot of the early materials - It, Freaks and the Countdown CDs from 1996. It's a mixed bag - some truly excellent material and some moderate songs. But generally very good!!

    Well, Pulp was a britpop band, they simply couldn't be understood in the USA, they sing about very british things, about british suburbian lives ... And maybe they are too subtle for an average american listener, you know, their songs are not like "oh come on, I want your body baby, you turn me on, I like the way you mo-o-o-ooove." It's not like Beyonce or The Pussycat Dolls and these american things ...

  • @agusglamm
    @agusglamm 15 років тому

  • @rossrobert
    @rossrobert 16 років тому

    It Sounds 70s actually:D Pulp ( or jarv ) hate the 80s. This is when Pulp were moving from 60s style garage to 70s style pop:D

  • @AtomicHarmonica
    @AtomicHarmonica 14 років тому

    Oi, I'm American. I mean, not all American music is awful... But a significant portion of it is. I love Britpop and I virtually listen to all Brit music anyway, so I don't know what's wrong w/ me. Maybe I just have common sense ;-)
