Thank you for another amazing tutorial/explaination! I draw my pages digitally so I tend to draw my speed lines with black and go over the top with white pen layer! This video defo made be more aware on how long to draw motion lines and keep the shape of the arm example still visable so thank you! Special ruler saves so much time for drawing speed lines or background effects that don't require an arc shape! Thanks!
For drawing movement such as running, I think that looking at videos for reference could be a great source for artist. You can always scrub through the motion and find the frame that is the most exaggerated in its action.
I watched this again, just to refresh myself and I got to the part where you said. "It can be tempting to use speedlines more often for any kind of movement because they look cool..." and I started imagining if Zach Snyder made a comic. O_O
i don’t know if i missed it in the video. but i am working on a rustic steam train that is in motion. i want to create speed lines for the wheels turning. how do i make the speed lines in a round shape?
If you draw digitally you can use a circular ruler. If you drawing traditionally you might use a circle (the Tool, not sure what it's called in English) and draw a couple of circles as orientation and then fill the gaps free hand.
Probably the best video I've seen on speedlines..thank you for the tips sensei
That's quite a compliment. Thank you!
Super Video, du kannst so viel lange Erfahrungen so leicht verständlich vermitteln. ☺️❤️
Übrigens so tolle Umsetzung mit deinem eigenen Charakter. :)
Aaaw! Dankeschön! ❤
Keep drawing queen.
This was a great video, I learned a lot, thank you!!
Thank you for watching!

Oh, that's an interesting approach. I should try it out as well.
Wie immer sehr informativ! Ich hab damit nicht wirklich was zu tun, aber trotzdem macht es Spaß deine Videos zu verfolgen
Dann bin ich ja froh ^^ Der Spaßfaktor ist mir auch wichtig.

Yeah, definitely. The hardest part is to find the right kind of video.

Ahaha although I imagine he would use a a ton of slow motion close up shots
He would use speed lines but also somehow would make the comic slow motion. Like, 2 pages across 8 panels to show one punch.
thanks so muchhhh
Very helpful video thank you for sharing ^_^

@@khaledhagag7870 haha no, unfortunately not. No time to teach xD I shouldn't even be doing UA-cam as drawing manga takes so much time.
