Magnet motor, free energy, overunity test 2

  • This is design #2. This will technically be an overunity motor if I can get the electromagnet built to the right specs. When this is done, I'd like to start on plans for a battery powered car that gets a full overnight charge from a standard 18v drill battery. Charge your drill battery during the day and use it to charge your car at night. But that's a long way down the road.....PUN IN-TENDED!

    You can get free energy, absolutely, and here's how:
    1. Make a video of something catchy... could be about a perpetual motion machine, or a naked girl, or a cute kitty... doesn't have to be witty, it could be about the Flat Earth nonsense. Just whatever will get people to click on it
    2. Monetize the video on UA-cam, ie. businesses advertize on your video
    3. Use the money to pay your electric, gas bills, or buy gas for your car... free energy!
    This does not defy physics since the source of the money is fools (limitless, never-ending, self-reproducing) who submit to watching the ads and go buy the advertized crap.

    I've been brainstorming about a machine very similar to this a lot lately! This is a brilliant idea and if you had a small motor to flip your magnet back and forth in the place of your hand it seems like it could really get up to a good speed. And then have a small drive axle turning an alternator which would theoretically start producing power. And hopefully it would create more power than what is required to flip your magnet back and forth!

    • @melonenlord2723
      @melonenlord2723 Рік тому

      The flipping of the magnet kosts more energy than you could get from the spin. Instead of flipping the magnet you also could spin the thing. Same with an electro magnet that alternates its magnetic field. You need energy for that thats creater than the spinning could produce.

    I have the design you want. It involves a similar set up, but hybridized with the perpetual motion wheel that uses liquid or weights that move. If you've seen the basic bicycle wheel with half full water bottle model on UA-cam, you know the similarity. instead of normal weights, you need magnets, that move from their ready position to the outer edge by way of an external magnet. The trick is; use a weak magnet(s) to keep the weights near the center, and a strong magnet to draw them to the edge. with a little momentum, they should be drawn outward then start to retract once they pass the external magnet (s). You could maybe even use magnetic fluid. eh?

    This still requires energy. You move your hand in order to flip the magnet, thus meaning you have to burn carbs in your body in order to get your muscles to move.
    Imagine attempting to use this on a large scale, how would you flip the magnet?
    A. If your answer was a motor... how would you power that one? (this is a circular problem, which can't be
    solved)
    B. If your answer was a fluctuating magnetic current... then you just invented the electric motor. (which uses more electricity than it creates)

  • @L.Parisi
    @L.Parisi 8 років тому +44

    Please, you watching, understand this: Free energy will never ever exist in the form of perpetual moving motor.
    All those magnet contraptions are only "prolonging" the effect of the human muscle that inflicts the spin. they'll stop, every time, even in space (void), and there's nothing you can do about it (friction, gravity, slow exhaustion of kinetic energy, electron/photon fields).
    Kinetic energy has an extremely low impact also, if you build a giant one it'll require an extremely low stopping energy, thus not being capable of extracting more energy than the one inflicted at the beginning.
    Please forgive my bad english.

But with further research in electromagnetic technology, i believe we can make the most efficient engine or power station ever. scientists just need to work more on the perfect material and better with the calculations because a tiny fault on calculation may resulting a big failure and that will end the research if they dont realize their mistake on researching it

    Sorry Guys, Taylor Yarick is right, all the OP has done is recreate an electromagnet motor albeit a mechanical one, it requires energy input to spin the wheel, as soon as you put a 'load' on the wheel like the mini dynamo to drive a light this will put opposing stress on the magnets in this demo and the OP would have to work harder to keep the wheel from stopping. The OP concept of cheaper or free energy is just plain wrong. go to college and study electronics, this will include magnets and coils. you will learn quickly that you cannot create energy and there will ALWAYS be losses during the convertion of motion to electric or visa-versa.

Before you post - just ask yourself one question, given that we have the technology to put us on the moon and create holo-glasses to control our world with out a keyboard, why-oh-why do people still believe in perpetual motion machines? if it were possible Albert would have invented it. if he helped out to create the a-bomb I'm sure a free energey magnet motor would have been right up his street and a piece of piss to invent.

  • @WaiTuYung
    @WaiTuYung 10 років тому +21

    Guess what?! The energy required to spin the magnet between your thumb and finger is the same amount as it requires to spin the wheel at that speed. Introducing electricity to flip the magnet will be less efficient than brushless motor, which is all you are creating.

    • @DaStig
      @DaStig 10 років тому

      Agreed and not to mention slight friction constantly subtracting energy. Friction will always subtract and then adding a mechanism / gear to change the polarity of the magnet constantly over and over again only adds to the friction or energy sucked from whatever energy is powering it (including a magnet).

      a device like this could transduce magnatism to kinetic energy which can then be used to power a turbine-style generator. the magnets would eventuallg wear out so it would not be perpetual motion or free energy. you would be spending the magnatism to make electricity

    • @PereznoJones
      @PereznoJones 10 років тому

      You don't "spend" magnetism. Turbine generators spin a set a stators through a magnetic field. You must put more energy into the system than you get out of it due to losses from friction and heat.
      This is not free energy. He is putting energy into the system through his arm holding the magnet, even if he doesn't realize it.

    • @Zadamanim
      @Zadamanim 10 років тому

      Chris Antcliff Magnets can be used to spin a turbine simply by having the right placement like what he has done here. It is not permanent or free because the magnets eventually wear out. A pair of magnets can be arranged so that one magnet floats above the other. This means that the magnets are outputting enough force to match that of earth's gravitational field. This energy can be transduced into electricity somehow i think.

    its not free energy if it is using an electro magnet because you need to power the magnet with the battery. always look deeper for the true energy source. this is a great concept but using an electro magnet wouldnt count, now if you could come up with a way to utilize the spinning of the disk to flip the magnet manually then that may work, but it also would cause friction so it most likely wouldnt. i appreciate your effort to try to solve the energy problem but free energy just isnt a thing.

But perpetual energy is immpossible. if there were perpetual energy the universe would eventually die. And that too will end. Even the earth with it's magnetic field will die relatively soon. In less than 400 billion years the universe will come to it' end you know. One of the most fundamental laws is that you can not create somethign from nothing all energy has a source. You can not destroy any matter in the universe, and you can not create matter. same with energy. you may only change it's form.
      It's a giant cycle. And it will end only when the universe is torn asunder. after that, All the particles left in the universe will break dwon and then start moving back towards eachother, as gravity overcomes the state of energy that pushes them outwards. it will take billions and billions of years but eventually all the particles will gather again creating a black hole so dense that eventually all that matter and enery will release in, once again, a big bang. restarting the universe.

      The point is the solar system isn't perpetual motion, if you start taking energy from that then you will slow it down, it only continues onward because ther eis no friction to apply, if you take energy from it you are basiacally applying friction and slowing it down. plunging the earth into the sun.

    Magnets aren't a source of energy. They're like springs. They can only store energy that's been put into them. So you need an external energy source. Like a battery. And then if you get it to work as others have said you will have reinvented the brushless motor. 8^)

    The laws of thermodynamics are really not up for interpretation. They don't change because you are philosophically apposed to them. There is no amount of magnets and coils and popsicle sticks, broken toasters and junk from Home Depot that is going to change it. Just because you don't understand doesn't mean your ignorance creates a pathway to bend the laws of physics. Please please please please stop wasting time with this. You seem bright and very good with tools. Create something nice or improve something with your skills. The First Law of Thermodynamics was published around 1850. 165 years we've known you can't get something for nothing. It's the basis of the worlds' industrial complex and why everything that works works and predicts with lovely accuracy what won't work...starting with the steam engine.

      People who chase "free energy" don't seem to really understand that 2+2=4. They think if they add more magnets and coils and more magnets and then maybe add a battery but later figure out how to charge it with more coils and a few more magnets they somehow feel that 2+2=5. The very very simple problem is every time you take some energy and convert it to another type of energy you loose some in the conversion, usually in heat. Next you try to convert that energy again to send it back up the hill to start the process over after loosing more energy in the conversion process. You put in 10 units the best you can hope to get back out is 9.9 and the truth with converting to mechanical motion is putting in 10 and getting back 7. We've known this since 1850. 2+2=4 we've known for a much longer time. It's reason why the lights come on when you throw the switch.

    A comment to the conspiracy theorists: These conspiracies are typically nation-centric, or at most Western-world centric, where oil companies are behemoths and theoretically could engage in the kind of mischief being alleged. But one needs only one good counter example to put the conspiracies to rest: India. India has very very little oil and there are no all-powerful energy companies in India - in fact, India's spend on oil is all money leaving their economy and so the rich and powerful there have every incentive to develop free power if such was do-able, and they do have a lot of scientists and engineers, and are a major player in commercial satellite launches with few errors. And also please note that no nation outside of India has any influence on India, except perhaps the USA has just a tiny bit, but very tiny, as evidenced by India frequently voting oppositionaly to the USA in the United Nations. Non-Indians can't own land in India, own more than 49% of a company, or adopt Indian babies/children. India is for Indians only, but all are welcome to visit and spend tourist dollars. India can and does rip off Western world patents, though they keep that at a minimum. And as India is energy deficient, and no energy companies have power there, and she has lots of physicists, scientists and engineers and mathmaticians, if free-energy was possible I think we would see it deployed in India.

      Dan Stadden Think further than that. If free energy was a thing, money wouldn't exist. We would all be infinitely rich, since we would have the ressources to build planets for each individual that ask for it, we could simply make a ton of those devices, use the energy produced to make more and more and so on, until you arrive at a point where, by simple energy/mass conversion you would be able to create anything.
      I don't see anyone making obstruction to this... I mean, everyone could be a god and make his own planet if he's not happy with the others being his equals.

      As for the infinite power thing, that wheel he has there is being spun up or pushed by that magnet he is holding, every ounce of power it has was given it by that magnet. Every ounce of power taken out of the system for generating electricity will take away from that, as will friction air resistance etc.
      He's inputting X energy into the system.
      He's outputting Y energy from the system.

    I hope you actually read this. When I was a kid, our "uncle" who was an engineer, gave me a motor kit. It was a DC motor, I had to wind the arbors by hand. It had these brass plates called commutators. After it actually worked, It was evident how it worked. The commutators changed the polarity of the arbors, so that in one spot the arbors were attracted, then they were reversed and repelled. just exactly what you are attempting to do.
    provided you do not use any outside electricity, you are on the verge of making that perpetual motion machine. The trick then is to get it to do something, like generate electricity for outside use. When you do that though, you will add stress to the system more than the system can take, and it will collapse. ie. not work.
    Even if you make a very well balanced mechanism to flip the one magnet over and back, the energy to do the flip must come from someplace. If it comes from your little magnet motor, it will kill the motor.
    Still... pretty cool how you got it to work.
    Pass the magnets between copper coils to generate electricity? Have fun with it.

  • @DemetriosMPapadakes
    @DemetriosMPapadakes 8 років тому +6

    This is easy. Basically you need the circle of magnets to tell the arm when to switch polarity in advance of its coming, to compensate for the time it takes for the arm to rotate and be in place for the next reverse pole magnet arriving in line. In other words, you should create a mechanical spring switch. The switch should be as simple as possible, by engraving an etch under the plexiglass just a few fractions before the perpendicular (straight) magnets that signify a polarity switch. This will click a spring in the arm of the magnet you now currently hold by hand to switch it in harmony and unison. More importantly, the arm shouldn't switch back and forth, because the flip flop of the arm will become a problem due to the drag of inertia once the spinning magnets reach terminal velocity. Instead, make it spin freely but barely lock in place with a wristwatch type of nick and continue its rotation in the next polarity. Eventually, at high speed the circle of magnets and the arm will sync rotation in unison, and this is why the clicking needs to dislodge after a certain speed, which is essentially the terminal velocity of the rotating arm itself. If you like this, give me credit. That said, why do you need to have the circle of magnets switching polarity? Why can't they be all continuous? Have you tried that? Maybe in slightly different angles? Adding more magnets and playing around with the distances? Important to note is that you can even utilize ambient energy, already being used, to propel changes in the arm. If such device is near water sources and wind and sun, it could reach an unbelievable combined efficiency with regard to output.

      Pretty sure those first 4 magnets required no input from his hand besides actually placing the magnet in that position... He only needs to turn the magnet once in order to get momentum from 4 magnets. I'm not saying this is legit, but if someone could calculate the amount of kinetic energy created by the magnets alone, and compare it to how much energy it would take to switch the pole, the results may or may not be surprising. If we found out we were getting more energy, then the device could simply power its self.
      I'm gonna be optimistic with this until I see a test like that done.

    • @KingHalbatorix
      @KingHalbatorix 9 років тому +1

      +stuff guy It's not just a matter of switching the pole, having an electromagnet being on at all consumes electricity. There's no real way for this to produce more energy, and one other thing that people are ignoring is that magnets actually induce drag on things. They interact slightly with the earth's magnetic field (it's a property that is used to orient satellites) and that represents a loss of efficiency.

    • @Sparclen
      @Sparclen 9 років тому +1

      Placing the magnet in that position IS the input, and required energy. It's like a spring. Placing the magnets close together (so close that they will repell when released) requires energy. The device will never be able to power itself, this is a fundamental problem, it won't matter how brilliantly the device is made or what kind of system he uses. The output generated by 1 cycle will not be enough to put the magnets close together again for another release.
      You can give it a spin, and then it will lose energy every cycle, until it stops turning. There is no solution. This is not limited by our technological capabilities, but by fundamental laws of nature.

    Jzsd14m , you must calculate how much energy is given to the system by means of rotating magnet at your hand. Since rotating the magnet at your hand needs energy, the rotational energy you obtained in the system maybe equal to rotational energy you give to magnet at your hand. Therefore zero energy is a result and what you are doing maybe never usefull.

Then put a round magnet on the top and bottom of the axel the bearing sits on to make it hover between the top and bottom magnet. also the axel can be a magnet that in the setup I just mentioned can be narrower than the bearings making them irrelivant if you can achieve the balance to keep things together as the speed of spin increases.. You are aware of how a alternating current switch traces the letter "c" shape. Do you know about swiss clocks run by air pressure and how the coil in the clock is attached to racheted gears. one ratcheted to only turn with the movement of the coil tightening..., and one gear racheted to turn as the coil is expanding due to effect on the metal coil from pressure changes in air. When that small movement is geared up and then fly wheels attached and magnets carefully are added into that scenario and this balanced well into center of something like your device perhaps (geared or free spinning gyroscopes) are added you may find a bit of joy in it to say the least.

    People have tried things like this soooooooo many times. IF you are going to get 'over-unity'(I hate that word) it isn't going to be with magnets and weights. IF you could get it to work (which all of physics says it can't) it will be with something new, something that hasn't been tried hundreds of thousands of times. If this, or anything like it for that matter, worked even slightly, we would all be burning science textbooks and running our cars on little spinning wheels with magnets glued on the sides.

    I had the same idea for years, but gave up on it. The proper 'electro' magnets with 'timing' trip switches cost money. I was wanting it to spin at a high rate of speed which would create 'electricity' in batteries to run a compressor, which would direct 'compressed' air at a high pressure volume against cups to spin the shaft which was free floating within a tube; with magnets 'south against south' so the shaft was in a free floating magnetic chamber; allowing more 'electricity' to be produced. Then once a proto typed worked on a small scale; create a larger one to creating enough electricity to run power a house. "Then the government can eat their electrical bills." The U.S. has one running on a submarine, which has been kept secret for years. A 'small' article came out in an old Popular Science, or Popular Mechanics many years ago, I believe 1990's. I pointed it out to my wife and said: "See they can drive things by electro magnetic power and create all the electricity they need." But to develop and market it to the public would affect all the 'Hydro' companies and the government revenue. Anyway, keep up your experiments. Jim.

The only question is, whether the output, that he can achieve out of it is big enough to even matter.

    More overunity BS. It takes more energy to flip the stator magnet than you generate.
    Also, even if it worked with no external power input at all, you're forgetting that magnets are not eternal. An "overunity motor" using magnetic fields draws its energy from the magnetic fields in the magnets, which is a limited source of potential energy. The more you use the magnets, the weaker they become as they depolarize. Magnets are BATTERIES in a manner of speaking.
    The laws of thermodynamics are laughing at you.

      hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/pegrav.html
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetic_energy
      If a magnetic field is providing a force, and the objects position is changing, it is changing potential energy. Since the force was provided by a magnetic field, it is called MAGNETIC potential energy.
      Just like gravity. Gravity is a force, but a gravitational force applied on a object such that it changes position gives it GRAVITATIONAL potential energy.

    Magnets in motion, circular or linear can be employed to pass there lines of force through wire where it creates electric energy. That electric energy can be retained & built up by batteries or capacitors. Stop thinking of direct physical drives. This tech looks like it's best used to generate electric over long periods of time. Think "trickle" charge, not brute force. Use in plurality to maximize output (s). Oil companies are going to love this tech!! Wish you guys the best ,,,

    Try connecting the magnet that you were holding in your hand and to a small motor to make it spin back and forth. Since you are using the magnets in a north south setting, you can connect copper coils on the outside with something like an iron or aluminum core and plastic or paper to separate from, the core. You can find cheap motors in something like an old cd player that is not working, and if you connect one of the coils to the motor. Note use a diode to cause a 1 way flow and capacitors. If you use it correctly, a capacitor bank of about 100 only takes 1 second to charge and offers a sort of battery bank that if hooked up between the coil and motor. This way the discharge is the motor moving back and forth. And you can connect coils that use the magnetic filed to cause magnetic flux. The way you can measure the pull of a magnet is a cheap jewelers scale, a piece of cardboard and off to the side, in an h formation where one side is on the scale and the other side on something solid. Use a solid metal item like a fork or something and the strength of the magnets can be measured. Tthe reason is that since reality is push to interact, you want your strongest magnets on the pull and the weakest on your push. Example you want your strongest on the n side out, then your weakest on your s side out. This way it forms a kind of egg shape in the magnetic field as it goes around. Now to tell the distance that you can make the coils the way to tell is by a paper clip and moving the magnet to where the edge is just lifting, that will give you a distance, and you can use 1.5 that distance to figure out the thickness of the coils. The egg shape as it moves through the coils it basically causes current, that if done correctly you can harvest the energy off 2 of 3 coils and still have it where you have your little motor rotating the magnet. a/c current.
