there's a video somewhere of someone getting the Position Generator on day 2, skipping the engine entirely (although it's a required part so you can't get anything other than the bad ending) i would like to try to get it day 1 - i made another video about that - but it's more complicated and im not sure if it's possible

That's super interesting. Area two doesn't unlock since you didn't get (1) ship part and the Dolphin stays super broken even when flying off.
