I can't help but feel happy for any of the crew, seeing that genuine reaction after the shot is taken! Well done!!
Who knew that a mammal in the goat family could thrive virtually anywhere, regardless of conditions.
Good hunt, good shot, and good friends. Perfect recipes for happy memories.
Another great contribution Randy and Marcus. Mahalo and Aloha from the Big Isle "🤙"
Awesome. Thks for taking your time and get that solid shot.
Awesome hunt! Nothing like hunting with good friends and sharing with them! Always a top notch video and I look forward to the next one. Thanks for sharing!!!
It was a team effort and what a team!!! Congratulations...
That was the Best scout, hunt and stalk I've seen in a while. Great job my friend. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Thank you for sharing your hunt with us. Great job.
Another great video that captures the hunt, conservation and friendship! Good stuff!
Mike! Congrats;) what a spectacular harvest!! Randy, great presentation as usual!! Thanks to all of you for making these videos entertaining and educational!!
What an awesome hunt! Great time with friends and a great ram! You definitely had his number that day, great stalk, great shot = great ending! Thanks for sharing these great adventures.
What a great hunt and a great story. Mike summed it up perfectly when he said, "What a culmination." I love the way you put the effort into scouting and making a great responsible shot. Well done!
I know im randomly asking but does someone know of a method to log back into an instagram account??
I stupidly forgot my login password. I would love any assistance you can offer me
@Everett Huxley instablaster :)
I keep going to 31:16. Incredible video of the shot. Vapor trail and perfect bullet placement. Clean effective shot that dropped him in about 6 seconds. Couldn't ask for a better hunt.
great video. love it when a good hunting video leads me to smile right along with the guys in the video. great stuff
Everything about this hunt was just great. Congratulations on a great Ram!
Thanks for watching.
@@Fresh_Tracks your videos are quantum leaps above what I see on tv excellent production
One of my favorite episodes. 👍
That was an epic shot! Great Job, Really enjoyed this video!
What an incredible educational , riveting and inspiring hunt vid , one of the best I've sat back and watched , the flow and 'culmination ' suspense was again one of brilliance , superb team & camera work ! Well done Mike , good shooting ! Thanks guys , agree with Josh , needs 2 x thumbs up !
Great hunt and great Ram! Perfect shot; just the way you like it.
Excellent hunt gentlemen congratulations and that is the epitome of teamwork great job
Greetings from Ireland thanks for the the film it’s very good as usual
So cool. Great group of guys. Beautiful Ram.
Fine effort by all, great hunt. Good ambassadorship.
Great hunt. Thanks for sharing.
Great ram and randy looks like a fun guy to be around and hunt with
Once in a lifetime tag. Im in year 3 of the draw application
Congratulations on an incredible ram! Randy’s love of wild country and hunting is optimized at 33:18. I hope Mike has a picture of himself, his awesome ram and the incredible country at 33:18. I’ve always loved hunting that type of country for big mulies, maybe one day I’ll get to hunt it for desert bighorn while using my 270 just like Jack O’Connor. Again, great hunt and incredible ram! Here’s to your success. 🍻
That was a perfect shot. It's as if you've practiced for that moment. :D Cheers and Congrats! Chris.
Really great Ram! Great shot! Congratulations!
Mike is a great guy and great hunter. We are lucky he lets us impose on him and his hunts.
Great ram! Great friends! Great hunt!
Randy's stride reminds of John Wayne...not that their strides match, but that they are both so distinctive. You can tell it's Randy even if all you can see is his legs.
I love watching these....but tag soup with my OIL California tag for SE Oregon still makes me want to rage/cry 12 years later. Maybe someday I get rich, or lightning strikes twice and get stupidly lucky. Neither is likely to happen, my chance is gone. Was about the hardest thing I've ever done. Even eclipsing military training of various types.
Friends/family were no help, and work kept me from driving the 8 hours one-way to scout. A stranger on a local outdoors forum and my 12y/o son were my only help. I will never forget Richard for helping me. Our District Biologist was a massive help, but alas, not enough for me to succeed.
It was still a special experience, not one that will ever leave me. The fact I had that opportunity at all is testament to the hard work and dedication of ODFW, FNAWS, and Hunters. PETA certainly did nothing to bring our sheep back.
what a great hunt!. Good friends and a dandy ram to boot
Great hunt guys!
Outstanding job done by all! Excellent shot by Mike. And as usual, Randy's 'guttin and gilling service' ... I guess that is how we would torture Newberg, not let him put a knife to a critter.
Love the video. Awesome hunt!
Fantastic hunt!
HI from New Zealand
Awesome animal. Congrats
Congratulations on a great hunt and video. I would like to suggest to Randy, that you put the firearm, caliber & scope information for ALL your hunts in the Description area. I always wonder about those things.
Great hunt and video! Exciting scouting portion and 1 shot 1 kill. Beautiful animal. Well deserved when well sought after. Hard work and diligence equals successful rewards through trial and tribulation. What was Mike shooting in this hunt? Bullet type and weight? Thanks again for the awesome video!
very nice ---perfect shot---308 or 270?? and what bullet?
7mm 08 140 grain nosler accubond...
Hey Randy love your hunts there so great
Thanks!
It's not official until randy says holy cow what a great hunt
Magnificent animal
Well done.
Your an awesome sheep sniper. I want to hunt sheep now.
Great story! Keep up the good work crew!
Tht was a awsum hunt
What a beaut. Congratulations. That would have been a great hunt with friends like that. How rare is this hunt? Once in a life time every X number of years? Randy do you lend the howas to friends for the shows or do they have their own or everyone that hunts with you get a howa to give animals like this ram a howa handshake?
Water is certainly number one. Randy you should be thanking mt. lion hunters next. Lions are pure hell on sheep populations. Lastly I'm going to assume from your intro that you don't like cattle on the range. When was the last time you heard of a sportsman's group paying to clean out a dirt tank or putting out mineral blocks? Cattlemen are some of wildlifes best friends. In the West grazing permittees have a right to be there as they own a forage right and most of the water rights. Forage rights and water rights are as sacred as other property rights.
Life member to the Oregon chapter of wild sheep foundation
And they got hooked up with Sitka gear 😄
Very nice cheap very good work very good show
Sheep was very pretty
Getting some pointers. My Nevada Bighorn hunt begins later this month. :) :). :)
Good luck.
How'd it go?
@@davidsanders3028 Got my ram 7:05 opening morning! After 20 days total of scouting. Watched eight rams from a mile until dark, They were in the same spot the next morning. Great times.
@@MrGp3po Nice.
the reason why I am asking is that I am not using magnums anymore--don't need the extra power ---308 would be just fine for everything--- as you know.
Where is the 2 thumbs way up button ?
Curious as to the caliber and load used for that great shot?
7mm-08. 140 grain Nosler AccuBonds.

Thanks Randy! BTW, love your great productions. Super high quality all the way. Howa and all your sponsors must love you and your crew. I'm sure you guys have made them all a ton of money. Most of all your love of ethical hunting, ( no 1000 yard shots )and the great wild places we are all blessed to enjoy. You are a great teacher of conservation and promoter of the skills, hard work, and determination required to succeed at hunting, or any other worthwhile endeavor in life. Thanks a million!!
lucky guy i have given up on a tag here in oregon
it takes real self discipline to pass a good ram the first day - but it makes for a better hunter too
What gun you use?
That was a 7mm-08
KoDo"s to a Very Nice Ram
I prefer « harvest » it instead than « killing » it... yup, it is the same action, but... lol
Someone explain to me how continually taking out the best male specimens of a given species improves it in the longterm?
Take the hunting education course available in your area and you’ll find out
By only taking big mature animals. It allows the younger ones to take the place of the old and eventually become mature. Plus they only have a lifespan of around 10 to 12 years I believe. And I believe they set a age limit for rams so they need to be a certain size for harvesting. Plus a very limited amount of them are actually taken each year.
Volume sucks
Imagine if that would be done for the Native American Nations.
Adding unnatural water storage to an environment isn’t conservation but rather habitat expansion.
