Propagating Vitex Trees From Cuttings!! (Texas Lilac/Chaste Tree)

Since you all liked my last propagation video I thought I would make another. This time with the Chaste Tree/Vitex/Texas Lilac.

I love this plant very much and wanted more for my backyard. It was time to trim the lower branches of the mother tree so I put them to use!

I do this with hardwood cuttings after the tree has gone dormant. I use 12" to 16" long, pencil diameter, cuttings and place in a 2 gal pot with regular soil, maybe a dozen per pot. Protect the pot with leaves or mulch and leave uncovered throughout winter. 80% success. Located in North Georgia
