Its’s misleading on 1:40 when you put Lenexa in the picture when you say there are 2 Kansas cities. You’re going to have people confusing kck and Johnson county.
Pros/Cons of living in the KC metro PROS: *great BBQ and Mexican restaurants as well as tons of great local restaurants. *Mexican American Friendly 🇲🇽🇺🇸. 30% of the metro is Mexican American. *Great Schools *Mostly Republican CONS: *the metro is very spread out for restaurants and jobs. *the job market is tough unless you work in healthcare and education. *the weather, it’s below 60 for 7 months of the year. *dating scene is awful especially if you just like to “hook up”. *you have to take the highways to get to most destinations. *kC is obsessed with sports like basketball, football and baseball.
I have asked many new KC folk which of the 3 reasons brought them to KC? Work, School, or Family? The answer is always one of them, never the weather or atmosphere. Probs 50% family, 30% Work, 19% School, 1% other, if I had to guess from the responses I have received.
@@mrjasonjneal Thanks for the comment reasons you've heard for people relocating to Kansas City. However, the #1 reason I hear for people moving is cost of living. Sure, those other reasons play a factor too, but KC offers a lot of similar amenities to other cities, but with a lower entry point for housing.
The housing costs are rising, though! They do call Kansas City Killacity 😢 My dad works in homicide, so many murders in KC. I've lived in Westport for YEARS. so I've seen alot.

Kansas is a follower, NOT a leader. MO all the way!
🤣
Actually more people commute by walking in Lenexa, Kansas than KCMO 1.4% vs 1.2% Overland Park is about the same at 1.1%. All embarrassing tho
How come they have to walk?
@@movingtokc idk ? Maybe some want to or maybe some don’t have a car ? There’s also places like downtown op that you can walk or west Lenexa
