    Just bought one of these, because i could not spend much money and also living on only 7m² - so space is precious. It might not print perfect, but i hope to use it for small things like clamps, roof cable feed-through, gears etc.

      Would this be good enough to print a solid trigger guard/grip for my slingshot rifle? I understand I might have to glue together multiple pieces due to the size constraints. Or is there a better option for a little more money?

      @@JohnSmith-tz4on i am honestly do not know how strong it needs to be for this. But the strength is a question of temperature and material. So other printers might bring similar results.

    I watched your video before I made the purchase... I'm not great at doing mixed mechanical/ tech stuff but my son (8) wanted to print 3D so we made the big purchase. We just finished putting it together exactly how you did it. Your advice to spray hairspray saved both of us from having a melting down lol. I don't know if your read your comments or not, I'm new to your channel, but I just want you to know how much I appreciate the great step by step video. Thanks!

      If you can get it for cheap then it's worth playing with but keep in mind this is more of a toy then a useful printer. Also the $23 on Temu is probably for a roll of filament and not the printer itself. They like to suck people in that way.

    Good review! I would like to emphasize one major feature: The size. I am tempted to get one just to carry with me. However, as you noted, a construction like this will not be a top performer. Did you notice that small round shapes (like the chimney on Benchy) were not round? The X1 has that problem and this is very similar (really a variation of the same design).

    • @BusterBeagle3D
      @BusterBeagle3D  2 роки тому +4

      I would say with the backlash and the bending of the X axis back and forth it’s hard to get accurate circles. It’s really just a teaching tool and not intended for any serious use. I bought a Monoprice mini delta for about $179 and while it is more expensive and larger it has automatic leveling, touch screen, heater bed, and real stepper motors but portable enough that I used it while traveling.

    • @leucome
      @leucome 2 роки тому +1

      Yeah the stepper gearbox cause about .4 of backlash. It is possible to use Antibacklash.exe but it make the print slower. I tried Marlin 2 anti backlash but it sometime cause layer shift. Though I suspect it is a bug in the firmware as some of the layer shift made no logical sense.
      The real solution is to replace the x and y axis motor with Nema stepper. I tired that on a X3 and it work great.
      As for the frame rigidity I am not so sure what is going on. I done the same test as 7:41 on the X3. There is no movement. I even tried with 4000acc 400mm/sec and it is still fine. So maybe there is something wrong with the printer or maybe it a flaw that only affect the K7. I am curious if true the K1 X1 would be better option.

    🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
    00:33 📏 *The Easy 3D K7 printer has a 100x100x100 mm print volume, uses a direct drive extruder with a 0.4 mm nozzle, and prints at a resolution of 0.1 to 0.4 microns.*
    01:01 🚫 *The printer's non-heated, perforated surface limits it to printing only PLA, and it includes a cooling fan for PLA printing.*
    01:29 🔧 *The printer lacks limit switches for the X and Y axes, causing stress on the motors when they reach the end of the axis.*
    04:25 🖨️ *Successful printing requires closer-than-normal leveling for the first layer; the included sample filament has a matte finish and requires manual feeding.*
    07:59 👧 *This printer is best suited as a learning tool or toy for children, rather than a reliable tool for experienced users, due to its simplicity and limitations.*

    I bet with a little bit of dialing in, it could be an "ok"ish printer...but like you said...more in line with a kid just seeing something they can hold that wasn't there before.
    Our public library here does 3D printing on crazy expensive printers...this would be great to have there to show people how inexpensive they are now...especially anycubic or ender brands

    • @BusterBeagle3D
      @BusterBeagle3D  Рік тому

      There definitely are better options out there. For instance I built my first 3D printer years ago when all you could get was a kit you 100% had to put together yourself and cost about $170. I just recently checked it and it has printed 3,696 hours worth on models on it and it's still going strong. I doubt I could ever had said the same thing about this machine but just goes to show you don't have to spend all that much more to get a great machine.

Some have screens. Some are $92 while the more advanced are $250. It really depends on what you are trying to achieve, toy or tool. If you are willing to spend a little more I would honestly go with something like a Monoprice Mini Delta ($179)which gives you way more features but still compact and at a still very reasonable price.
