Using a keyboard/mouse and it's starting to become more fluid, so I have to almost 'play' my keyboard during the battles. 1 on 1s can have some interesting events, but the big battles are so much fun when you're block/dodging and bouncing spells off enemies. I think a controller would be better, but by this point for me it would be like starting over. This video is a lesson in how to be more intentional in those keyboard 'notes'. The combat is really underrated in this game, because you can be pretty bad and clunky for almost 40% completion. Once you get the timings down, it starts to really evolve. So far, this game is almost a perfect combination of game genres and theme, along with a steady pace, you can forgive a lot of quirks.
I wasn't into the Potter franchise myself however, this game looks like they put everything they had the budget for plus their love for the series into. I'm actually really glad it turned out so well and it's super satisfying to see both the new and veteran fans finally get the game they deserve when it comes to the quality and mechanics.
They need people like you to record gameplay for marketing. The pre release combat footage didn't look great but now that I'm playing it I think it's super fun I wasn't expecting the variety of combos

My finest combat moment in this game happened by complete accident. I was comboing one of the giant spiders, and when I finished it off it did a nice, cinematic, slow-motion backflip in the air...and all of a sudden, WHAM! It gets nailed by the passing Hogwarts Express and carried off out of sight.
