In America even when you go to college for art they try to direct you into teaching. They tell you you will starve to death as an artist. So far I guess they are right. But I did not want to teach I wanted to paint. I do think in America 95% of the artists or just starving. But a few make it into the limelight. Not necessarily because they’re more talented than others but just like all forms of art a select few seem to break through.
