    I must confess I didn't know about you John before I came across your videos.And then to find out you passed away recently at a grand age of 93 I am so upset. A big thank you for these videos your my inspiration.I will practice and learn by everything you have said .

    Very special to have such a remarkable artist, explain the beginning of painting by first learning how to draw in a lay persons mentality.

    Beautiful and elegant presentation of how to paint….thank you for sharing your knowledge…lovely paintings of Venice and the Thames from when you wer3 young John…..you reminded me of the passing of time and why it doesn’t wait…..you looked like you had a lovely life…….all the best in heaven ….RIP……..John Stobart passed away on 2 March 2023…..I hope his videos stay on UA-cam for a long time

    lol! i can relate! i went to a painting class once with my father and the women in the class couldn't comprehend single point perspective ... oh, yoy!!!
