Dr. Wendy Patrick presents: Organizational Approach to Eliminating Sexual Assault
Within an organization, every member, at every level must hold and practice certain values and standards of behavior in order to eliminate sexual assault, and other inappropriate behavior. This program will cover the unique role that each organizational member has in preventing and responding to sexual assault.
This program will discuss the myths and misconceptions regarding sex crimes and sexual predators, and expose the reality about sex offending, including the dynamics of the relationships between offenders and their victims. It will include a discussion of statistics, prevalence, and laws related to sex crimes and sexually violent predators. This program will provide a candid view of the reality of sex crimes in modern society, the legal process involved in prosecuting sex cases, and the differences between different types of sex offenders.
Understanding that preventing and responding to sexual assault requires recognizing problem behavior, this program will provide well-founded practical methods of enhancing awareness and knowing when, where, and how to intervene.
Finally, this program will provide a call to action. By learning to read the red flags and detect predatory behavior sooner rather than later, every organizational member will be better equipped to step up and prevent criminal or inappropriate behavior before another victim is claimed.
