Killing someone because they won the lottery is so dumb, you're going to get caught and even if you don't you won't be able to spend the money because it's not yours.
But the problem is, that is always got announced publicly no matter who's win they always and must get annuoced publicly, it's already a rule in the lottery system
In some places, they will keep your name private. If I had to appear in public to claim my check, I would disguise myself with a wig, shaded glasses, makeup to make my features look different, and some padding to make my body different. I would consider changing my name so that past acquaintances couldn’t find me. I’d move, but only to get away, not to buy anything huge.

That just shows you aren't wise enough to handle that much money. Along with anyone who would first think about buying a huge house, expensive cars.. Such a waste.
A video like this makes people think this is the norm, considering worldwide there are hundreds of lottery wins every week and you've gone back 25 years for some of these stories 10 bad ones isn't awful. For every tragic lottery win there are hundreds of amazing experiences
This is a mere fraction of destruction that the lottery have caused. The lottery preys on the week minded. Next time you’re in a gas station take a look around at the individuals that are playing the lottery or scratching the tickets.
Maybe not hundreds, since it is extremely common for major lottery winners to go bakrupt within a few years. The most conservative estimate is 30% given by the CPF board of standards and while they may not all be horror stories I doubt the stories from richest to bankruptcy are happy tales.
Even people who keep their money and their lives will say that winning the lottery was the worst thing that ever happened to them, because it ruins relationships. Most end up bankrupt within a few years.
Meanwhile the other 98% of winners are loving life lol. Pay off debt, invest in many things that have a slow and steady ROI. go on vacation and work a job you enjoy.

Money brings comfort, dude. Nothing more. You're not gonna suddenly lose purpose just because you have wealth lol. Why invest? Thats too much like work and end up being too stressful worrying about losing it all. It happens. Thought the point of winning was to retire and not have anymore worries?
@@lukewhitsell942 yes, as most of them end up bankrupt or dead. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people that win the lottery are poor, or mid range income and that is ultimately what devestates them the most. The fact that they were never sure how to make the money grow initially. Often when hearing people talk about the lottery it's almost always: buy, buy, buy, buy, give, give, give. You seldom hear someone say the first thing they'll do is contact financial advisors, or lawyers. That they would immediately work on building a real estate port folio. That they would find ways to make the big buck bigger. It is unfortunate, but money begets money, and even more unfortunate that the poor will often stay poor.
@@greenberry5950 Yeah, but you should just tell that you want to be anonymous announced and just to be with your closest family members in contact. Plus you should not invest money in some shady shit. Just invent a company yourself or go travel for the rest of your life.
Actually it's like this. Mom: Here is your lunch money. *She hands me a large amount* Me: Love you Mom. *Later* Uncle: Hey my favorite nephew! What's up? If you need anything, I'll give it to you. You got cash? Oh I know you do.
It should be illegal to announce the winners names. Many states and countries don't allow individuals to remain anonymous. There has been too many tragedies for winners that were beyond their control and solely because they're forced to publically come forward.
I agree, but that makes the lottery thing shady. Who knows where the money goes in that case? That's why there are records on everything, just about. It's best if instead of revealing their names, they just keep their identity hidden and in the government's records so that there's no corruption and you also don't get stalked. Still, I have no interest in the lottery at all either way.
I think the problem with winning the lottery is that once you win big, the money you get there is all you will ever have, effectively. What you earn from normal work (if you continue to work) will be insignificant in comparison to the millions you just won, especially considering it is usually not rich people who play. So basically, we can ignore all further income and just assume that the winner will never earn money again. But that means that you have to budget differently. If you're used to being able to spend the money you have because that money comes from a regular, reliable source of income, you must change that mindset immediately, or your habit of spending what you have will lead to you spending all your money immediately for a lifestyle you can not sustain, leaving you back where you started after a few years. If you want to be provocative, you could say that winning the lottery doesn't make you rich, it removes your regular income for the rest of your life (or, less provocatively and more precisely, raises your expectation of lifestyle over what your income can support).
Not even true. You can make 10% on your money yearly pretty easily. For a $300 million jackpot after taxes that's 30 million dollars a year of income. Without even touching your 300 million principal.
Win 10$million. Throw it onto a 10 year term deposit that pays 6% a year on interest. That's 600k a year paid monthly for doing nothing and you still get to keep your initial 10 mil deposit 👌
I would just bank it and keep living the same. Use it in emergencys or to get a better house or car. You dont have to waste everything you get immidiatly
States that make it mandatory to reveal the names of lottery winners contribute to these problems. People won't hound you to death if they don't know you won.
@@TheSemtis Yeah that´s literally what i just said. While keeping money is not spending money recklessly, it´s investing smart to get out the money you invested and a bonus. That´s how people become and stay rich.

Winning the lottery isn't the main cause of these peoples troubles, its actually their ability of handling so much power. Money is everything in today's world, with money comes power, the reality is that most people aren't capable of handling so much power and tend to use the money in destructive ways. "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power" - Abraham Lincoln.
kojoe1995 Yes, but no. People get jealous and are easily tempted to kill off of greed. When your name is public anyone can search up you name, date of birth, social, and so on. They can stalk you and plan to rob you which can turn out into a bad situation.
kojoe1995 I completely agree look at mike Tyson, blew hundreds not just millions but hundreds of millions of dollars in just a decade one of my favorite boxers and people but man he was wild lol
You fail to understand how greed works. If you watched the video you’d see that friends and family can gang up on you no matter how well you handle your money. People will find out you have it, unless you become some kind of hermit.
In Australia you have the option of total anonymity, and the total amount is paid out tax free after the (big) winners receive compulsory financial advice from the government agency running the lottery.
Basic advertising. They do it because they want to say 'This could be you! Make sure you spend money for the next Jackpot otherwise someone else will win!'
I think in some places you can be anon. But, sometimes they want you to be publicly announced so it shows the rest of the world the lotto wasn't a scam and the money didn't all go to government.
Texas and South Carolina allow you to remain anon. There’s more states I just don’t know which. There’s like 8 states that allow you to hide your identity.
Don't lie if you won't $50million you would take the money. I would take the money if my family disown me for giving them money oh well they already don't want me around so it wouldn't matter if they disowned me
Thankfully here in NZ, there's no automatic naming of winners. Besides that, I've never told anyone would I do if I did win big. I was present when Dad and one of his workmates won $NZ340,000 between the two of them almost 25 years ago. Dad wanted to keep quiet about it. Mother was on the phone to all her friends / family within an hour. Other guy blew his half in 3-4 months, ended up worse off than he was before the win. A lesson was learned. Keep it all to myself. No one needs to know. I'd carry on working. Giving me time to get used to having all that money, while gaining a decent amount of interest. Spending on a little more than essentials only, so as not to draw attention to myself. Over time, slowly update/upgrade house, etc. No being flashy with it all.

Just move out of USSA shithole country full of criminals. Its absurd 2% of that countrys population are in prison at any given time. I bet at least 70% of population have been arrested or committed a crime at some point in their life.
It isn't the lotteries fault it's people with no experience of having money suddenly find themselves with more than they'd make in a 100 lifetimes. First thing to do is not go public then the lottery should give you a non commissioned advisor to help you plan for the future. But some people are just greedy and want what you have. Best thing to do is build a hospital or school then your legacy will last long after you are gone.
Some places doesn't let you choose that, nor let you make any smart moves. In some places, winning the lottery can immediately curse you as your full name and address gets revealed, and organized crime will immediately seek you out using the deep web.
Hospitals close. Best thing to do is fund a new wing of a school that has been around and will stick around. Or build a new awesome theme park. Again, prioritize it sticking around. Crummy old school themed parks close.

Tyko Brian Yeah how stupid of low income families of trying to have a chance to win a lottery and change their lives for the better. What’s honestly wrong with you?
Is it really worth it for low income families to spend their hard-earned cash on a lottery ticket that they have a very slim chance of winning with? Just because they have a chance to win it doesn't mean that they ever will, even if they buy tickets continuously :P
Animator Of Souls It’s not like the people that won lotteries knew that they were ever going to win. If there’s a chance then let them and it’s not like a lottery ticket will break the bank for low income families anyways

@Greggory Private records??? Like honestly, the public announcement is stupid as hell
Then go under an aliases
You can get lawyers to accept it through a trust if you didn't sign the ticket yet
But here in the UK you can remain anonymous. There's no obligation to disclose who you are.

I would immediately try and build a gym, school, purchase a restaurant from a franchise, buy/built an app, fund environmental cases and build a foundation of SOMETHING
You can't claim your wins anonymously everywhere. It depends on where you live.
Good that's what I would do.
Plot twist: he is trying to stop everyone entering the lottery so he always wins
Tesco is Cool That’s exactly what I was thinking
aplomb twist alright

The newspapers would announce it -_-
@@manlikedrillz273 I'm pretty sure they won't do that without permission

@@desjardins4 What? I laughed at someone's mistake, I get it it's not the nicest thing, but that's no reason to call me a psycho...

This video should have been called "why winning the lottery is the worst thing to happen to stupid or gullible people"
The Flagged UA-camr II that's more than half of the world atm I swear😂😐
Only stupid and gullible people buy lotteries
It may be the worst thing to happen.. but I’d like to experience it for myself so I can make a better judgment call about it 😁
Same
Haha me too.
you just used two dots
Yeah
Jorge C. M. Ok?
It's so sad that some of the winners and people close to them end up with drug problems. With all that money, there are so many things you can do, so much freedom, and to throw it away on drugs is so sad.
To lottery winners just use common sense and move in slient just saying.
Some states dont allow private lottery winners. Sorry.
FB I make your first name FBI and last name . And the dot will disappear thats now you get name without space
