Grat video! I'm in Karns and love SMKW. I subbed and I'm a big fan of traditional knives. I'm 75. Inherited my dad's knives and my grandfathers. Got some real vintage ones. Love those Rough Rider knives.. much obliged for the tour and history.
Thanks a lot for watching! Glad to hear you enjoyed the video. I bet you have a very special collection, some of the most interesting knives I’ve ever seen were ones that were passed through the generations
Love my RRs. Just affordable but nice quality for what you pay. Can build tradition and sentiment with years of use and stories behind them without breaking the bank, the way knives should be.
Love rough Ryders, they got me into collecting slipjoints. They’re great to try out new patterns. Great warranty too, SMKW has always done me right. I gotta take a trip there sometime.
The one character that appears on a lot of the Remington posters, is actually a self portrait of the artist himself. His name escapes me at the moment, but it's Larry...something, I think. These are the posters from the eighties, when the Remington patterns were started up again, if memory serves me again.
I prefer and adore my Rough Ryder Black Reserve Black Smooth Bone knives over the Rough Ryder Black Reserve Basketweave Pakkawood knives. The black smooth bone looks EXPENSIVE, like a shiny leather shoe and is a very dark black. They are gorgeous. My favorite is the Gunstock pattern. I own 85 Rough Ryders.
I love Rough Rider pocket knives but collectors want to date there knife. Smokey Mountain Knife Works please put a dating system on you're knives we don't no how to date them. I think it would make them even more popular.
Thanks for coming in and you all have a open invite to come back any time!
Awesome. Thank you!

That's a trip I would love to take. It's about 14 hours from here. I'd want to spend 2 days there. Absolutely fantastic selection of knives
Plenty of campgrounds near by. 🏕

Awesome episode! It was exciting seeing you all interact with the designer and hearing the stories behind the knives. Thank you.
They're good people!
Thanks for watching!
We buy the carbon steel knives. Then we dip the blades in vinegar overnight and get all the chrome off the blades. Then they look classic.

We were very thankful for the opportunity. 🙏

85? Wow! That's quite the collection. What's your favorite RR overall?
Thanks for watching.
Does RR make a full lg. Congress
My favourite is the lock stock, but I can't find it anywhere anymore...
Lock stock? I'm not familiar with that. I'll have to Google it. Thanks for watching!

Buy your Rough Ryders from Chicago Knife Works. Better selection of knives and cheapest prices.
Wont buy a Chinese knife, dont care how good they are, support American made products.
Why such a crappy steel? I’d gladly pay a few dollars more for vg10 or D2
The Sabacc is in D2, as are most of the Rough Ryder Reserve knives.

I'll pass it along. I'll be in the shop this Friday.
