I have an Gen 4 or Gen 5 SnG, BOS S30V, I bought back in ‘03 at a Plaza Cutlery Custom Knife Show in Anaheim, CA. I was in the military and since retired in ‘14. I’d carried and used it daily and still carry it today, but not much use outside of cutting boxes open. I got it engraved in Japan in ‘04 to force it to be a user. I’d never taken it down. I just ran high pressure hot water on it. Then hit it WD40. Around March of last year, ‘24, it seized up. It was very difficult to open and close. I sent it in and got it back two weeks later with the tiger striped blade refinished, super sharp and running smooth. I have no idea what they did to it. Don’t be afraid to use your Strider. Also, there’s really no need to take it down. 20 years going strong.

I got a slim foot auto that i absolutely love in blue aluminum ❤❤ also picked up a blue aluminum Protech strider.

Crucible steel will be either bought out or someone will buy all thier IP (steel formulas) so we will still see all these steels, but they may or may not be produced in america anymore

I apologize in advance... I've been sick for 2 weeks and just started feeling alive again. Unfortunately, my resting bitch face / 1000 yard stare was out in full force. So I look miserable, but I actually had a great time filming again with Enso and playing cards after filming. I'll try to look more alive in future videos. 😅 🐺

Great collection man! Gotta finish the video tomorrow so may comment more, but awesome! I did a 4 part collection video on my channel but you were able to not ramble as much as I do so it worked out great!

Are there different sizes of the Buck 110? This is the 3rd video on Buck knives I have watched and knives in the videos seem quite large in the hands of the user. Mine seems smaller in my hand compared to the ones in the videos. My knife has 1 dot on either side of model number and the brass has sharp edges like the knife in this video.

Id return it. They have a warranty. that is the problem with wood covers or scales. the grain of the wood and where the screws put pressure through it. They should just replace it for you.

A must with a video about wood handles should include an Opinel. I would think equally so or possibly more recognizable internationally than the Buck 110 and it’s significantly more affordable. It also makes a good platform for modding. I’d be interested to see what y’all could do with one………maybe a competition between y’all each modding one 🤔

IMO, 100% the screws are too close to the edge on that Nugz.

SMKW effectively copying the Copperlock is seriously cheesy imo. While originally inspired by a copperhead the design itself was in-house Case. People can rave about these Chinese plays on traditional knives all they want but at what cost? We’ve lost so many traditional manufacturers as is, and even as someone who has long been trying to pressure Case to up their game and take more of a clue from the late Mr. Bose, it would be an irreparable shame to lose them too. I spend quite a bit of time each summer in the Bradford area still try to patronize the company as much as possible. Personally I think we all should… along with exerting a little pressure to keep upping their game.

I went with two sets of the Berkshire forge and they both where a breeze to install, I'm not sure I can get used to the feel of a deep carry pocket clip on these knives.
