You should not use plain cement (Portland cement) either. It has to be mixed with an aggregate, such as sand. Just using cement would be very easily cracked. There are some bag mixes that don't have the large rocks in it, such as a countertop concrete, or mortar mix. I would suggest using a product by Rapid Set, called Cement All, or their Motar Mix. Just mix it per instructions on box. Also, spray your mould with cooking spray, before pouring concrete. I'm intrigued by the use of the cereal box. I had not thought of that.
