Thanks for the tip about not checking sway bar links with only one side jacked up. I had a horrible clunking noise coming from the front but every time I checked the suspension (by jacking one side up at a time and removing the whee) everything was nice and tight. After keeping the car on the ground and giving it the ol’ reach-around, I found the sway bar links to be very loose. Replacing them was very straightforward with minimal cursing, and now the front end is nice and quiet.
Who's going put all your tools away in wrong order now Hannah gone :-( going be no one blame for stuff but yourself, that going suck lol . Good Luck Hannah and good luck Mr O for times ahead without your trusty team of young helpers .
Hannah good luck with your nursing school. But also look at it this way...not only will you be helping people in hospital or where ever you will be ...but as an added bonus....You will be able to work on your car or at the very least wont be taken for a ride when something goes wrong with your Car because of all the insight you received from Eric You ll be missed
I agree 100%, she has the qualities that are important in the workforce. As a nurse you're constantly dealing with people, so that being said she'll do excellent in her career. God bless Hannah!

I will trade you your air compressor for mine! It may be tiny, nosier, and cheap, but it's full of good Ohio air! Good luck to Hannah with becoming a Nurse. Hopefully she goes for her BSN and specializes and makes the big bucks! The highest paid nurses are Nurse Anesthetists and they earn about 130K per year. That's more than Nurse Practitioners. I think Anesthesiology is one of the most satisfying fields too. Nothing like helping people not be in pain.
My Wife was a Nurse Anesthetists and worked part time and made more than 130K, Hope Hanna goes into that field, great pay, lots of stress but she loved it when she did it. Good luck to you.

Good thing this popped up on my front page. I am pretty sure I have this issue in my 2006 Chrysler T & C. Did change the struts & still does it. Going to my mechanic this a.m. to get him to check them. I'm a senior women who still has an interest in autos.. My motto has been if you own something, being car, house, etc., you better know how things work. Thanks to you tube & programs like yours.
I've told a lot of people about that rod and they didn't believe me. Then the"certified" mechanic told them the same thing...for a PRICE. I just laugh when they tell me "they charged me $$$$$ for it, and I could have changed it myself for free".

Eric, thank you so much! A few months ago, on my daughter's car, I found and replaced a loose tie rod end because you said to check that whenever you have the wheels off. Later I could hear knocking sounds and because of your video here, I replaced a sway bar link and that solved my problem.

I find that air tools 'hit' differently than the electric impacts. Becomes clear when you try to take a nut off an alternator shaft with the cordless and it doesn't work, so you get the air and it comes off with ease. However, the cordless is mostly just as capable.

Agreed, best way to check is with vehicle on the ground. Turn the steering to one side, one person with their hand on the sway bar and one person wiggles the steering wheel back and forth. Also works great for tie rod ends.

The sway bar links on my 2008 Ford Focus failed at like 19,000 Miles / 30,000 Kilometres (BS!) Replaced them with moog greaseable ones and it's been almost the same mileage put on the Moog's since & no issues. I grease them every 3,000 mile / 5,000 kilometre oil change.
What about a COMMEMORATIVE HANNAH episode? You know, slow motion out takes of her walking across the shop. Or bloopers with her handing in the props in reverse of the desired direction! Or those pesky one liner, line: WELL, THERES YOUR PROBLEM RIGHT THERE LADY! or GIVIN IT THE BEANS! Or any of the remarkable lines that she thought up!! Oh well, how will we get along without the star of the show!!

Diagnosing suspension properly has been one of my challenges.. to make the absolute right call on which part is causing what clunk or rattle etc

Replaced them with moog greaseable ones and it's been almost the same mileage put on the Moog's since & no issues.
I grease them every 3,000 mile / 5,000 kilometre oil change.
I got 202,000 miles on oem sway bar links on my 2004 ford freestar se extended wagon

Good luck Hannah! Nurses do all the hard work. True story, during the birth of my oldest son, the doctor showed up right before delivery and spent most of the time playing with his phone while the RN did all the work.
