Impressive Walksnail recording at that distance and low altitude. Realising it not a RF polluted area. Seems quite an improvement. I hope they implemented INAV custom fonts also in the new update.
I did another flight recently where I stayed at 150-160 all the way out to 4 miles before it finally started the break up a little, and climbing just a little brought the bitrate right back up to normal. I've been impressed with it too. I have good reason to believe inav custom fonts will be working in the next firmware. (because it's already tested and working by some of the guys in the group that are flying it with inav... lol)

That's an old sticker from Hobbywireless! lol I put it on there when I added Walksnail with the pan servo, figured it would be nice to see when looking over to the side... lol Thanks for the timestamps/chapters! I added them to the video.
Yeah it's great that they are listening and taking feedback from the community and fixing things that people need fixed... lol This next release should be a good one.
Love that you have a working relationship with Walksnail... we know you'll tell them to never add RID to our DIY walksnail units... unlike you-know-who. Thanks, man!
One only can but wonder why Kaddx stopped making the Polar for the walksnail??? I mean I do have the polar using the vistas... and love it!!! but darn as it gets dark the quality goes out of the window! Can I ask you please weigh that AR Wing ?? ? I want to know how much less is than mine??!
That night font on the latter AR Pro clip looks better than I thought it would (based on some of your other vids). Given I am not going to cross over from iNav to ArduPilot (yet) I too hope that the custom iNav fonts are in the near future. listen to me - less than a month into all of this and I am talking like I know WTF it is I spew - lol
Being FrSky, maybe the plastic tube makes it in tune, just kidding FrSky, I still like you. Been using the new Uni-RX FW on my LOS and Nitro planes running RX8R pro rcvrs. Better range than I remember them having, except I'm also using my early adopter Jumper T16 Pro int. MPM which has always had better range than FrSky, well except for my non-plus Taranis. I still haven't flown anything further than 1 mile though.
I didn't even know they had all those light out there... lol It's the baseball field at a small elementary school. It was neat to see it lit up like that.
Hey, I love your content. I was wondering how you make your artificial horizon and crosshairs disappear when you turn your pan servo. Anything in INAV that can do that?
The same basic principle applied for both Inav and Ardupilot. I set up a "main" screen with the AHI, and alternate screen(s) without AHI, then use the same channel that I control the pan servo with, to select the alternate OSD screens. The area around center selects the main screen, and either side will select the alternate screens.
Looking to your AR wing pro... see the pan servo!! It comes to mind!! Have you ever get one of them 270 servos to fail and start to shake and hunt back and fort??? I have that problem with a servo that is relatively new... any fixes that don't include replacement????
I haven't had one of these fail like that, but I've seen other servos do that in the past when the feedback pot is bad. Sometimes cleaning it can help. If it were a critical servo on a flight surface I'd say replace it to be safe... lol
@@bonafidepirate Thank you so very much for taking the time to answer... I really meant it!! your input means a a lot!! Keith , what FC are you using on your 250g? I'm contemplating either a new 250g or Nano goblin .. your thoughts on which you like better ... I've never flown a goblin but supposedly super stable . I also have used the bi-blade on the stock 250g motor with better success than the 3 blade and no issues on amps.. (regarding your response to another comment )
I fly both the Goblin and the Dart and actually prefer the Dart but that's simply because it goes much further. The Dart will fly for well over an hr on a 2s 21700 5000mah pack where as the Goblin prefers 3s . Can't actually believe how good the Dart is for endurance, plus I've had it over 20 KMs😲🥴
It was solid out a bit past 3 miles, and seemed usable even at 4 miles. It did seem to be losing some packets and bumping the power up at that point, but I still had telemetry on the radio the whole time. That with just the low power telemetry on the R9MM too. I'm sure it would do better with a higher power telemetry output like the 100mW ELRS receivers. R9MM is only putting out 10mW, but apparently in newer builds they added options for 10/25/50mW according to Wezly Varty. I don't think that's in the current stable build though, at least I didn't see it in mine.
Almost forgot, the white thing on the AR Pro is the pitot tube pickup for the airspeed sensor. One like this - www.qio-tek.com/index.php/product/qiotek-asp5033-airspeed-sensor-and-pitot-tube/ Mine is an older one that didn't come with the metal tube. Newer ones come with both styles now I guess.
@@bonafidepirate building another Nano talon right now got that speedybee F405 but couldnt get Arduipilot to work so back to Inav i guess . boy things moved fast while i was gone still trying to get up to speed .
Yep, I've always ran it like that with no issues. I know some people have burned out the motor with that combo, but it seems to work for most. I'm not pushing it hard either though, cruise at less than 2 amps most of the time. It's an efficient setup. It's just the "stock" PNP motor and 2 blade prop that comes in the box. I found the 3 blade one barely made enough thrust to get it flying at launch, and draws more current to cruise.
I depends on what it's going into. If you don't need the tiny receivers like Crossfire and ELRS, and don't need super low latency in the control link, then Dragonlink is hard to beat. Super reliable control and telemetry at the same time. Not just the usual telemetry to the radio, but a "real" transparent serial link over the radio that doesn't drop a few miles out. The downsides are the relatively larger receivers (though still small for most normal size planes) and the difficulty catching everything in stock are about the only real downsides. Ideally, I'd LOVE to see a "Dragonlink V4" with tiny receivers closer to that of CRSF and ELRS, maybe some modern features added, and in stock all the time... lol One can dream right?! Personally I consider Crossfire a "good enough" link most of the time, control is reliable in my experience, telemetry doesn't reach as far as the control link, and is limited to begin with. I've only barely started playing with ELRS so I can't reall judge that one, but based on what I've seen it seems to be a pretty close match to Crossfire, but more widely available and generally at a lower cost.

Yeah, was also amazed at the low altitude at 5 miles. Eagerly awaiting this new firmware.

Yeah I did solder the resistor in before flashing, as this is the older ACCST module.
