It's probably more to do with licensing than anything much like why you don't see all the Disney and marvel games they made back then get re-released. Although ironically Disney owns all of those properties these days.

To this day, Aliens vs Predator is on of the all time top 10 best side scrolling beat em ups, and we still have never gotten it on consoles most people have. The switch needs a proper beat em up compilation, but it just doesnt seem it will ever happen T

When I was 16 to 17 they had it at a movie theater and I would play it like it was going to go away soon!
