Dude I love your channel but you got to invest in some better production equipment.
Yes, that camera was horrible, I kept checking to see if my net was stuffing up with the horrible image.
Agreed. And in 720p??? Come on.
Why do speaker folks regularly flop on the microphone side of things?
Prolly didn't get anything sent to him for free? lol
That’s what the donate link is for. Donate some $ and I assure he will take your suggestion under studious and careful consideration
Some Paradigm recognition. Nice. They make such good speakers.
I never hear anything better when I A/B them. Own several pairs since 1990 from all lines and they never die.
Once heard them on a friends home theater. Absolutely beautiful, flawless warm, crisp sound came out those paradigms that I can't say I've heard on any other speaker brand. His weren't overly expensive, or cheap. But the full frequency was perfect right down to the punchy bass. Not sure why they aren't more popular.
I own the 800 premiers one word love ..
@@westcoast708 Good to hear! I'm demoing some tomorrow and will probably bring a pair home.
@@cosmicheretic8129 awesome enjoy.
Just brought the klipsh about 3 weeks ago......listen....listen....the speaker is amazing...bass super tight into low frequencies....vocals loud and clear...the highs accurate and clear....they want...powwwaaaa.....your house will sound like an atomic bomb test site....it must be that injection molded graphite speaker that handles low and voice due to its rigidity.....as they go louder they get clearer.....never heard shit like this....#blownaway....
Right on man! That rocks.
Yes,i own klipsch speakers, not the model reviewed, but other floor standers,WOW!!!I hear things i never heard before. They are speakers that want you to listen to your CDs,records over again.
Damn. Can't wait. Mine come on Wednesday!
@@stormrising2623 congratulations hopefully you got a good amp to push them...they're rated at 150w but its capable of handling 200w easily I have a two channel sony 200w those 7.1 receivers are horribly overstated on actual wattage per channel it's so loud and clear I haven't been past half volume or else my building may crumble...
@@slumking112 what do you recommend for a good AVR?
Most of the reviews are discouraging to say the least.
1:16:35 All speakers need to sound good and reproduce accurately no matter whatever is being played through them.... I'm all about movies, but I love music more! Any good system will do it all. I have cheap and I made it good. Music sounds correct and detailed while movies sound correct and detailed! Treating the room let's you hear more of the speaker. When I finally broke down and put that crap on my walls, that is when I was finally able to take control. Necessary evils and that jazz.
Cheers you guys 🍻.
VERY in depth review. I own the B+W 603 and love them....but you can’t wrong with the other speakers on this review. I compared them prior to getting the 603’s but really liked the sound of the 603’s.i found the 603’s to have great bass but I did add a small sub (CA Minx 301) to add a little more low end because of my personal preference.
Currently have the Paradigm Premier 800f’s and I love them. I agree with basically everything said. Very neutral and off axis listening is fantastic. As a paradigm fanboy these definitely fit my needs for what I could afford price-wise at this time. Not to mention they are downright sexy for a speaker.
have you ever had the chance to compare to a Klipsch 8000f? I have an Anthem Integrated 225 that I know pairs perfect with yours... but there is a huge price difference being the Klipsch much less expensive in my country Bolivia. looks on the paradigm are superior but I want to believe the Klipsch doesn't disappoint on sound quality.
Erwin Mayer - I haven’t listened to the 8000f’s before, but I do own a pair of the Klipsch RP-600m bookshelf speakers in my other mini audio setup and they sound fantastic. They’re really efficient and I’m only using a 90w per channel amp with them. They get plenty loud for my listening needs. I’m sure the 8000f’s would be more than fine for home theater and music listening needs.
Erwin Mayer - you’re right though. Anthem and Paradigm do pair together really nicely though too.
Hi Aaron, I'm using a Paradigm Monitor 9 S7 and a matching center 3 for quite some time.. I love the paradigm sound. I'm looking to step up to the 800F.
Do you have any experiences with the base Paradigm Monitor series?
Can you compare the Monitor series vs the Premier 800Fs??
@@SyedNizamudeen - Hi Syed, sorry it took so long for a reply. I never got a notification that anyone replied to my comment so it took a while for me to figure it out. lol
So I haven’t personally owned any of Paradigm’s previous Monitor series speakers but I actually have a buddy of mine that does and still has them to this day. (He’s planning to upgrade but still hasn’t yet.) From listening to his setup and comparing to my Premiers, the sound level and performance is still there, but to my ears the Premier line has a bit more refinement in the audio, specifically when listening to music. If you’re mainly a movie and home theater guy, you might not notice a ton of difference when watching movies, but for music, the Premiers definitely take the edge in performance in that regard. I currently have the Premier 800f towers and the matching center (600c). Using them with my Paradigm surrounds as rears, has been an absolute treat for movies and music!
Klipsch 8000F vs. Paradigm 800F vs. SVS? I watched the video twice, and I'm feeling the even though Klipsch's measurements are better, but you still love Paradigm the most (or this is more about the appreciation of Paradigm?).
Btw, for those who are considering paradigm, you can get them for just $799 each (20% off).
Watched the whole thing...thanks, it's a lot of hard work what you do.
Of these five, which would be the best for a home theater system? Pure movie watching no music. (Edit) you just answered this question at the end during the question and answer period. I really enjoyed this in depth review.
The 2k price point I would have had the SVS Ultras in there (or both). Great price point comparison though. This is really the sweet spot it would seem, something that is attainable for most.
Even then, the Ultras would fall short thanks to the tweeters.
hochhaul the svs pinnacle is better in your opinion than the Bowers 603? Those are the 2 in this list I can get a discount on
@@freedomdance7601 That's the point of Audioholics: objective measurements speak for themselves...
That grill reminds me of the flower of life it’s the most ancient symbol in our history I think it looks pretty cool
I absolutely support this channel. You guys are awesome I’m 32 and I’ve been into HT for about 9 years now. These are the type of videos that matter not the flashy types focus on quick tips. You’re the Heroes audiophile’s need. We don’t deserve you guys lol
KEF Q950 would have been a good one to throw in this mix.
He doesn't have a clue tbh
Thanks for another great fact filled review gentlemen! Any plan to deep dive into the made in the USA, Klipsch RF-7 III?
I have been a big fan of your UA-cam channel for some time as well as SpareChange, Youthman, Techno Dad, That Home Theater Dude. All of you have reviewed the SVS Ultra Speakers or the Arendal Sound 1723 (S). I am in the process of upgrading my B&W CM 10 5.1 setup to a 9.6.2 setup. However here is my question. Which of these two has a more neutral sound and can fill a room (35x15 with 8 foot ceiling)? Currently I am running (Marantz AV8805, Classe sigma amp2 and Monolithic 11X) with plans to upgrade to (ATI 3 channel or Parasound A31) for the LCR.
Love these types of videos. I wish you would have a look at Dali, they're very big in the EU and have speakers in all price categories. Lyngdorf is the founder.
The JBL 590's should be there. Retail is 2 grand when they're not on sale.
Still enjoying the shit out if mine!🤗🥳
Jbl 590 s the best
@@ferdousshanto3104
For less than $500 A piece they are nuts good!😉😎😁🤗
In the last few years, they have taken the industry by storm however none of the reviewers will touch em. It's rediculous. They are the last of the Greg Timbers collection and now he's been fired from JBL. No more Timbers design out of JBL. So the 500 series are kind of important and should be reviewed before the 600 series takes over which is newly designed by JBL's pro audio division.
jbl 590s are good but theres better out there
Can you do a single terminal hook up with the klipsch 6000f 2 speakers
I Like the One on the Middle with the Three Woofers
With speakers of this caliber. Then comes the question what receiver is needed to get the most from these speakers
I have a problem choosing between B&W 603 vs Klipsch 8000f, any additional advice would be helpful.
Ivan Kušen Buy the Klipsch. 👍
King Trance why? lol
@ emersonleon85 - The Klipsch are a much more efficient speaker at 98 dB sensitivity requiring much less power to drive them to reference levels making them a much better choice for HT. You can drive them well using just a high quality receiver without the need to add additional amplification like the B & W’s. The B & W’s aren’t exactly efficient at 88 db’s. The Klipsch also play lower and hit harder than the B & W’s as the Klipsch can go as low as 32 Hz. The Klipsch feature two dual 8 woofers vs the B & W’s two dual 6 1/2 inch cones. The 8000f’s also are much less expensive than the B & W’s making them a much better value and who doesn’t like saving money? Hey don’t get me wrong I’m not bashing the B & W’s by any means here. I’m just saying for both movies and music the Klipsch is the better all around choice and better value. Nothing at all wrong with the B & W’s though. Thank you for asking mate.
@ emersonleon85 - What happened to the content on your channel? It’s a blank slate!
@@kingtrance6826 Agreed
I watched this vid the other day. I saw the Klipsh and was like NO WAY, plus I've never cared for them because I felt like they were hyped up some and "normies have Klipsh and Polk cause it's at Best Buy".
Well I went to a local shop and they literally had the B&W, Paradigm and Klipsh you reviewed here, lucky me! lol. For me, the B&W's treble SUCKED, there wasn't any. The Paradigm's, which I was most interested in, were good but lacked enough treble. I'm pretty disappointed at this point, so I regrettably asked the guy to try out the Klipsh 6000F since I was already there. BOOM, Santana's "Smooth" opened up like I'm used to hearing. The treble was there and sounded more real/life-like than the other two's more dead sound. The only issue, not enough bass for me. Went into the next room with the 8000F and they had the bass. I was sold.
$680each at the shop, discounted $551 Piano Gloss that I wanted on Amazon, but then a Amazon Renewed Ebony showed up for only $489. $1040 out the door!! The RF-8000F arrive Friday lol
Can't believe you bought Klipsch because they are head banger speakers. You should have got the SVS Ultras.
Mike Montana not sure what you mean about head banger speakers. I bought them because their high end was good and sounded more life like, unlike the other boring mid rangey speakers.
I ended up returning them before they arrived because the JBL 590s went on sale for $500 each. They sound a little bit better than the 8000F overall. I also love the size of them. People notice them when they walk in the door.
@@andrewskaterrr
JBL nice choice! Klipsch is too in your face and trebly for my liking. Did your JBL 590s come with cheap plastic feet and cheap flimsy grills?
@@thegoat164 Well the new Klipsch F Series are different than previous Klipsch. They aren't as bright and tinny as before. The JLB 590s are similar since they are both horns. The feet and spikes appear to be metal. The grills are nice and not flimsy. They came with a solid top cover that completes the tweeter's wave guide, so when you the grill off, it looks super slick.
@@andrewskaterrr
Oh that's good because I was reading JBL 590 reviews on Amazon and people were saying that the sound quality was great but the built quality wasn't very good. Complaining about cheap plastic feet and flimsy grills. I guess they improved the built quality.
Martin Logan 40i can be had right around 2k. Very good speakers.
B&W does that midrange dip on all their speakers. It's the well known BBC dip. And, even B&W speakers that don't have 1st order X-overs have that dip. They just like that recessed midrange that gives the impression of greater soundstage depth. DUH! Where have you been living for the last 30 years?
Hi Gene, I am looking to pair an amp with Klipsch Cornwall IV ... not a tubes fan. Please suggest something that would do justice to the horns. Regards Mike
Hey guys what do you think about the KLH Kendall va the Klipsch 8000f? Is that a fair comparison?
I am interested in the Martin Logan bookshelf frequency charts and subjective impressions:: 35XTs, Motion 15s, LX 16s. Any chance you will review these ?
@aardvarkansaw , I don’t think they like them.I am waiting for them to review some of the Martin Logan speakers but i guess it wont happen.
SVS or Paradigm for hight quality movie watching?
you need to check out the bic america pl980 towers they are friggin awesome
Ugh idk which ones to get from the klipsch or the bowers and Wilkins 😐 any suggestions? My main use would be for home theater with some music use. It just scares me that all reviews say the B&W are bright, I have the klipsch R28F now and I don’t wanna go from bright to bright.
I would like to have seen Ascend Acoustics Sierra Tower and the NHT C 4 in this comparison.
Has he ever done reviews on Definitive Technology Speakers?
Do ya'll have something against PowerSoundAudio. I never see them reviewed or mentioned. I had a pair of Paradigm Studio 100 v5s and my current PSA MTM-210T's completely blow them out of the water and with no need of an external amp.
Can you guys a 3k speaker comparison ? please I have budget for $3000 Or $1800 each
Paradigm 90p v3
@@lexhtfdct7230 why V2?
I have mine straight on because of the trax horn.
2.83V should be Gene's license plate on the M3.
My Cerwin Vegas XLS2/15s will walk these speakers all week long.
Not really, all those speakers are more refined than cw
tekton?
@audioholics are the cabinets of the Paradigm 800f made up of plastic completely? read few user reviews who pin point about this as a dislike. Any inputs ?
Lol. No. I own the 800f and they are made of wood. They have plastic caps on top and shaped caps to n the fronts. But the actual boxs are wood. Very heavy speakers.
i have the 700f and love them... are you using any toe adjustments?
any attention given to the energy RC-70s?
Like it or not, no matter how good a channel's content may be (and it's really good here), it will be competing against channels with similar, competing content but far better production values. UA-cam viewers are looking for entertainment over information; they expect videos to look good and sound good, and they expect the presenters to be well prepared for the presentation.
People who want pure information read.
No other UA-cam channel has the technical capabilites to measure or analyze audio equipment like us so if anyone prefers a feel good highly produced fluff video over facts and real 3rd party data, they are welcome to go there.
Ive been waiting for this.... We know good amps... Now time to put all of that into some speakers..
Lots of information in a BORING format. Have a summary slide listing pros/cons of each speaker.
Thousands of dollars in speakers but forced to share a lapel mic.
LOL trudat. Too busy spending $$$ on accurate test gear to do the industry's most accurate objective measurements in audio. You're welcome.
40k in one test rig right?
agree
You need to know what you are presenting!
😁
Use a time index. This is an hour and 24 minutes covering 5 speakers. Would help to be able to find what is of interest faster.
Can you all review the Tekton Double Impact Tower Speakers everyone has been saying how good they are and that there easy to drive. Please 🦉
I would like to see timestamps for each speaker as well as a conclusion.
Yes, yes, yes
Thanks for the heads up on the length of this video. Yeet 😬, I’m out.
I loved this talk. The second time I watched it even better, well done guys. A lot of goood information.
This channel is so underrated..., keep going on, love it!
You have my full support!
Can you guys do center speaker next. I like to see head to head between kef r3, svs , paradigm, b&w, etc....
Hey Gene, this was great! Love the stuff your doing in this format. You always do you best to inform people the best options and what you get for your money. The industry owes you a lot for your support. Great guest, please thank these guys. All the best man! Keep it going. Thanks again!

Love the review guys, is it possible one day you can review the Def Tech 8090x. I have two sets of those and the performance is phenomenal. I would like to see how they stack up against the towers you reviewed in this video.
Nice shirt! For me, we’ll cared for used speakers are the way to go. I got a set of very clean PSB Stratus Gold i’s last week for $500.
Klipsch can lower costs by volume manufacturing. I would guess Klipsch sell more than the other 4 combined......great sound and affordable.
You've gotta do something about the light reflections from your head. Relight your streaming vids.
KEF 105/3 from the late '80s had a sensitivity of 93 db/watt with a max output of 115 db/300 watts peak at a 4 ohm load!
Limited dynamics does not apply here. Duh!
I had 2 Classe CA-150 amps in mono configuration with Classe CAP-150 in pre-amp mode! In House Concerts is an understatement! Thunderous floor shacking bass was the norm.
I sold my B&W 802 series 3 Matrix and kept the KEFs at the time! The 4 speaker B&W simply couldn't compete at creating such realistic sound pressure dynamics when called. B&W were beautiful speakers, but lacked the-we-are-here experience of the coaxial "Uni-Q" KEF arrangement.
Enough said.
James, TAKE SOME NOTES and you may not come across as such an AV nerd. It's so obvious that you are winging it during the actual part of the review where you REVIEW the speaker.
Think about it...RE.....VIEW.
Truly I want to be constructive. Take notes, consult them, you may find yourself stuttering less and divulging more discernable and viable information. 👍🏼

You guys probably saved a lot of people, like me, from getting suckered into bs.
So true. Thanks to Audioholics and AudioScienceReview for providing objective datas and fight against audiophile subjectivism (AKA: Bullshit).🤘
Come on you Oerter to be so end of the line correct but you use lavender mike wrong While you describe details of sound is pathetic I have currently a problem with the Klipsh your response graphs show near perfect results but a different site has as the same graphs that show a huge dip in response at about a kilo hertz ? So I will measure it myself
excited for the Revel speakers. Looking forward to updating my aging MK Sound speakers for 4k and Atmos/DTS:X
I loved this content! $2000 is a smart price point to choose. I maybe would've liked to have seen the Monitor Audio Silvers included, but as you mentioned there are other good $2000 speakers. A $600 or so bookshelf roundup might be good too. thx
I love my MA silvers. Not fullest bass performance maybe, but I would pick them over b&w or klipsch. More transparent and detailed with better finished cabinet. Not listened SVS or Paradigm it's not so cheap outside us I guess.
@@ardalay88. I really love my Monitor Audio Silver 200s.
They're fast Detailed and plenty of low end Energy!!
They work a Dream with my Yamaha A-S1100. This Amp takes the edge off my Speakers! And they do make lovely Cabinets. Monitor Audio always have. 👍✌
@@andyjefferson1308 Another thing about MA silvers. For ht applications they come with silver fx surrounds. Those are really good surround speakers. I have ma silver 8, ma silver center and fx surrounds, although the center channel is also quite good, I'm really curious about the new center channel. I'm running those with marantz sr7010+naim xs2
IMO, $2000 isn't 'Real World' pricing. I could buy a pair of RP8000 for
Next time please include Tekton. They have speakers in the $2-3,000.00 range that they rate in the 25-20Hz range.
Please Invest in a decent MIC and camera setup it would cost like 300$ in total. Besides that i LOVE your streams and i have been enjoying your content.
I'm intrigued by Jame's comments regarding coaxial compression drivers. DIY Audio Group comes to mind with some of their products. I'd like to try them. They measure almost ruler flat and have some amazing dynamics. They are gaining a cult like following. Powering them via a bi-amplified LR24DB active crossover might be the audiophile golden ticket on a budget. I've tried PA speakers in the home setting and I was most impressed---fun, engaging speakers (and those were just run of the mill entry level DJ speakers). What James is talking about from DIY Audio Group would seem to be much more high fidelity than what I heard from the PA speakers I tried in my living room. And they would cost half that of the cheapest pair in this comparison.
I think James is JD from the Howard Stern show in disguise. Sorry James.
I was thinking more medicated pete

My current setup has the SVS. I can vouch for them, and this review is spot on. But Klipsch and BWs have there own good sound. Imo, some songs sound better on horn speakers.

How do you know the response being flatter? Do we have any measurements for the RF7 III?🤔
Agreed! I'd like hear your take on the RF-7 III as well as the RP-6000F
I have a pair of RP 800FA's and they have all rubber around the horn and mids so less refraction and the Klipsch are Bi both.
Bowers used to call the continuum "aluminized kevlar" back when they only incorporated it in a very select few cars, after they incorporated it in the 800 d3 line they came up with the term continuum, Dave you should like that, it sounds like the Q Continuum, lol, when I was a system designer for the magnolia design center the 702 s2 seriers just came out and I would do an A/B comparison with the diamond 804 d3 and the 702 s2's and ended up getting the 700 series, of which the bookshelf 705 s2's are my favorite for music with a pair of sealed svs sb-2000's, they are breathtaking, center channel and the towers are in my theater room, i havnt heard the 600 series yet but im sure they are quite decent., The carbon infused tweeter is not as good as the diamond tweeter on the 800's but it is no slouch
actually the carbon infused tweeter perfome better, especially in THD (if you even know what it is). And this talking about real professional measurement on test bench, not personal opinion by the ears....
Hello, I curious as to how the Klipsch RP8000f compares to the SVS Prime Pinnacles.
Compared to B@W ,kef ,tannoy, their shite ,go read the reviews
I have the Paradigms and can attest to their amazing sound and solid build. These things are blocks. Love em!
Also Canadian made is great. But I live here so full disclosure. That doesn't impact my opinion on sound and quality.

Just ordered the Klipsch RP 8000f for 799 EUR a pair new! Great deal.
If you’re going to do long form videos you really should think about time stamping. I’d love to have heard your conclusions, but my life is too short to spend 90 minutes to find it 😥
So nice to hear engineers discussing speakers instead of the the usual word soup "feelings" stuff. Thanks
I own the 800f and I have too say best sounding speaker I have ever owned and I previously had b&w dm 640 these r better ..
Which are better overall between the svs prime elevations or paradigms for music and home theater experience?
Paradigm is a quality speaker no matter which model you choose. They compete and excel over the competition at every turn.
Outstanding video gentlemen! Detailed, highly informative, amusing (at times) and delivered in a none pontificating style. Thank you.
I would of went with klipsch towers but I couldn't resist the paradigm 90p v2 for 250 with the center channel
Great content guys. Don't mind the modest production value. Screen sharing is nice and simple. Just wish you found a better balance between commenting scientific measurements and your impressions using your ears (on vocals, rock, orchestra and movies). We're humans, not robots. Even if feedback is by definition subjective, it would be helpful to convey your feelings. Just my 2 cents. Keep up the good work though. Great choice of topics.

Audioholics have skimped out in their measurement protocol -Jean how come you skimped out and never purchased Dynaudio’s world-class, custom-built Jupiter testing facility Jupiter is big. Very big. It’s a giant, hollow cube, measuring 13 metres in every dimension,A speaker can be measured individually or, given the room’s size, engineers can install several speakers at once to simulate the typical home audio setup (not many high-end hi-fi owners have just one speaker). Then, the robot arm - with its 31 microphones - takes a 360° measurement. So we end up knowing how a speaker sounds not only in the sweet-spot, but from everywhere else too.
Mounted with 31 microphones at 6° intervals, it measures 180° of sound in a single go. The arc can rotate, and the stand that the test subject is on rotates too, allowing for 360° of measuring.
Come on Jean go big or go home -get Jupiter 😍😁👹😄

Can you compare/review Klipsch RF7iiis?
Ditto!
Klipsch rp-8000f did well. How likely is it that the rp-6000f would have the same good qualities? I expect the 6000f is also very good since I have seen good reviews of the rp-600m with 1 6.5 driver and the 6000f uses 2. Thought a 5.x set with 3 rp-6000f and 2 rp-600m could be good. Opinion? Planning on 2 pair of beale ic6-mb or bb for 5.1.4
I have a rp6000f with 504c and surround rp500m's with audyssey room correct through a denon x3500h and in my very biased opinion, they're great
That cover on the Paradigm midrange acts as a combination phase plug/waveguide just like Monitor Audio has on their tweeters
Gene going forward as you educate us on speaker measurements, can you please provide the manufacture spec and then provide your measurement.
Sure we usually do in the written reviews and try to confirm them too.
Hey gene of audioholics jus viewing the review of the towers for both muic and movies is the klipsch better over svs and paradigm klipsch rp8000f svs prime towers and paradigm premier 700f
Surprised by your comment on 1 W / 2.83 V and "apples to apples" comparison. 1 W *is* apples to apples; 2.83 V is a bullshit marketing gimmick to put a better-looking number in the specs sheet for a speaker with less than 8 Ohm nominal impedance.
Thank you for providing excellent detail and analysis.
*I think the B&W midrange cone is made of Enduramax.* See audioxpress.com/article/Endumax-from-Teijin-Aramid-An-Exciting-New-Speaker-Cone-Material "Endumax, an innovative and superior cone material with performance beyond woven composites, has only recently been introduced to the industry. This new material is initially being introduced in a couple of different forms - woven fabrics, a cross-ply sheet of two or more layers of unidirectional material, and short cut reinforcement fibers as for enhancing the performance of wet laid paper pulp cones. The material is light and stiff, with a high Young’s modulus and high damping."
Great informative video keep up the great work much appreciated. I wonder if coming from a Klipsch RP 6000f(the step down from the 8000f) to the SVS prime pinnacles would be a good upgrade or just a sidegrade for a 5.2.4?
SVS is on another level compared to head banger Klipsch speakers.
