The mother storyline is actually one of my favorites with the show maturing the psychological affects and feelings of the characters. Specifically Damon’s arc and Stefan’s with the next seasons

Yeah candice(Caroline) was a backup singer for Miley on Hannah Montana and she is a great dancer too but man this episode and a episode later are heart renching also bamon is back hell yeah 🫶🏽

Elena was forced to turn off her emotions.
I always thought of this when Caroline brings it up. Also elena lost both of her parents, including her bio parents, jenna, rick, bonnie and didn't "escape" the grief of any of those. I get what caroline was saying but it doesn't hold up.
@@AliinaG And the end result was her turning them on again anyway and having to feel everything.
If Elena tells u don't after she's been through, maybe that's a decent idea.

To be honest no humanity Caroline wasn’t as bad as Elena or ripper Stefan. But she was still pretty bad. And the thing she doesn’t really get though is the complete danger of having no humanity. The grief will still be there, and she’s eventually going to hurt someone. Most likely people she cares about which is going to hurt her even more when she turns them back on. And every no humanity vampire gets too curious about turning there humanity back on. And once she does all the grief will come running back with the added bonus of the guilt she of the stuff she did with no humanity. So she’ll be in a worst place. The only reason stuff worked out differently when Elena turned off her humanity when Jeremy died is that when she flipped the switch back on , Jeremy and Alaric came back to life. When she erased her memories because Damon died, Damon actually came back. Honestly if she wanted to make sure she stayed in control of herself and not hurt anyone once she flipped the switch, she should’ve gone to New Orleans to Klaus so he could compel her to not hurt anyone and just have fun. Be for the record humanity flip always makes things worse.
They should have thrown her in a sack and beat her with a rake.

It bugs me that after all Damon did for Caroline’s mom, he never got a thank you from Caroline for anything. I am loving Damon and Elena.
Why would he get a thank you? Why would you think he'd even expect one? Her mother literally just died... They shared a moment at the funeral, and that was enough.
@@rayanog I am not saying right now. Damon has always been there for Liz, even more than her own daughter a lot of times. I don’t understand why Caroline has never thanked him for anything. She just ignores Damon.
