@@TheMashandDrum Thank you so much. Thats what I was worried about. They just hit the shelves here in So Cal and my local whisky club is rushing down to total wine to grab as many as they can. Its kind of a buying frenzy these days. Since I have about 4 bottles of different ECBP I think I'll restrain myself this time. I do love the 1910 and 1920 though but I prefer ECBP more. Thanks brotha for the super-quick reply!...........Cheers!
Just had the chance to try the OF single barrel, barrel strength at a local place here in Annapolis, MD and immediately ordered a full pour. It was that tasty. So much flavor. I would up purchasing two bottles at 127.7 Proof.
Thanks Jason. Great review as always. OF 1920 is my #1 choice at any price. Have not seen these offerings yet in southern New Jersey. I’m on the lookout though.
Great review Jason! Always enjoy getting a look at what’s coming. Love OF products! 1920 is my staple drink. Can’t wait on those single barrel offerings. From the stores that bought barrels!!!
I just recently bought the Total Wine Old Forester single barrel and its delicious. I've tasted it before 2 years ago and it did not disappoint again. It comes from floor 4, warehouse H with a proof of 90 and cost $50, what a steal. Great review.
Was lucky enough to find a barrel strength, it was a total flavor bomb. I had to add a few drops of water to tame it down to my level, so delicious. I went back the next day to buy another and they were all gone, no surprise there. Gotta find the 100 proof single barrels now. Thanks for this review.
I got so pumped seeing this pop up in the feed. Sounds like these are all a go when they start dropping on the shelves of these stores that made and/or making these picks. Video looks badass buddy. Great transitions as well. Cheers man 🥃
Old Forester is definitely one of my favorite distilleries, hopefully we get some store picks in NC. I don't think you mentioned an age for these single barrels. Do you know if they're aiming for a particular age range with these releases?
@@bigdave2952 Oh really? I frequently see 1-2 store picks at the ABC stores in Durham, New Hanover, and Orange Counties. From memory these are what I've seen in the last 2 years: Elijah Craig Single Barrel Select, Woodford Reserve Rye and Double Oaked, Maker's Mark Private Select, Peerless Bourbon, Knob Creek Single Barrel, Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit, and Crown Royal Hand Selected Barrel
Not here in Charlotte that I’ve seen. Only store pick so far is Makers Select. SC has a lot but they don’t last long on the shelves. Happy to hear you get a bunch up your way, I’m jealous.
@@bigdave2952 Since you're in Charlotte you should definitely hop across the border. The selection is not much different but you'll find some that are $5 or even $10 less, like Belle Meade was $10 in SC. Other stuff were very similar in price.
The 90 and 100 proof are pretty close. The 100 is definitely a bit better but again it depends on the single barrel. But the barrel proof is on another level. It's like birthday bourbon light.
Jason, enjoyed watching you enjoy all those great OF bottles. Back in Jan my favorite local story said he would have an OF SP in March but looks like is being pushed back to May. Can't wait. Cheers and Stay Safe!!
Curious what your thoughts are on the full bottle tastes. Seems that sampler did outstanding but those who’ve had the actual store bottles are having different experiences. You had a chance to have one? A review would be appreciated.
thanks for the comparo w/ the signature and the 1920. i personally love the signature (tied with ER as my two always stocked dailies) and i was wondering if it would be worth 2x the price. not sure if it would be, but now i'm psyched to grab a bottle and give it a go.
Yeah Ive had a few sample pours of its. Its really good. 300 is steep but thats what you would expect. They were really limited last year. I actually liked the 2018 a bit better but both are awesome.
Great review Jason! Love the Old Forester products. Right now we have the rye and 1910 and we need to get the 1920. These both sound amazing. Sure hope I will be able to luck into one or both. Stay safe out there and let’s hope all this craziness ends soon. Cheers! 🥃
Old Forester is, I believe, the best distillery of our time. They make everything from good to solid to great. They make these bourbons available. Unlike BT #dontbegforbouron
I get mixed feelings watching a lot of your reviews. On one hand, it's upsetting that we get so few of these whiskeys in Ontario and shipping from USA isn't gonna happen. On the other hand, I'd be dead ass broke if these whiskeys were available to me, so maybe that's actually a blessing. 😀 Thanks for your excellent quality reviews. Cheers Jason.🥃
I am so excited for the BP store picks, I love the old OF store picks but was always sad they were only 90 proof. I am desperately hoping a store in my area gets a barrel.
Liked the review but man it is dangerous to make judgments on single barrel samples selected by the distillery for review on release. Just saying they may pick, well you probably know. I hope I get a chance to try it soon because I love OF.
Great review. They should hire you as spokesperson for these - the more you were describing them the more I was thinking May could not come soon enough! I am curious what is going to happen to the bourbon market once the economy emerges from this crisis. These higher proof offerings are higher priced and if less people can afford them the companies may stop creating them. The strong economy really has created an amazing bourbon market with new products that are getting better and better. I hope it does not end in the near future.
theres plenty of bourbon out there so I dont think there will be an issue with supply. Whether or not people will still buy the higher priced stuff will be the question.
Hopefully, my local liquor store (Binny’s) gets a barrel of these beauties. They have gotten barrel selects on other whiskies so I'm hoping they get some of these.......😍
Great video as always. I know you like trying new things. I have only been a follower for a few months but I think you should try Glendalough Poitin. Great flavor and somewhat complex. Easy price on Flaviar. I really think you will like this. Check it out..
Awesome! I heard these were going to be made Available soon. Can't wait to try em out particularly the barrel proof. big fan of what OF has been putting out in recent years so not much doubt i will really enjoy these 2 releases . Thank you for another great review Jason.

Dude you read my mind, I was starting a barrel pick of OF BP at a store today and wondering how it compares to 1920…and here you are!
This one is good make sure you get some
My trusted source for reviews. Thank you

Four Roses first. Old Forestser second for ME.😁
Hello Jason. How does the OF Barrel Proof compare to ECBP 12 year old?............Cheers!
The ecbp is way better. These OF BPs are very young and drink hot
