Agreed, I’ve always enjoyed a more simple way of life in RimWorld. I can of course respect the more extravagant tech colonies but they’ve just not been my style.

This was really fun to watch, though i do feel like for a series like this Simple Chains: Lumber or something comparable would be a great addition.
After all, its hard to make a proper wood production and processing business if wood just comes off the tree ready for use, no infrastructure needed, just plants skill and a lot of growing zone
Thats a good point, i may look into using that mod in the future. May people have commented about using the lumber to create art and weapons so i believe that will be the direction we head towards for the next part of the series.
for some reason when i watch this i wanna hear some folk guitar music and maybe some ragtime piano, but when combat hits i really wanna hear the Home Depot theme song kick in. i think that would make it 200% perfect instead of a 100% perfect Lets play.

Ok here is another idea, how about setting some wood products on the side like wood carved statues. Or maybe some syrups. Go forestry...but if ya want to just focus on the logging this is still entertain
Ya know i didnt even consider that, but that is a wonderful idea! As of now episode 2 comes out tomorrow and will be the end of the mini series. However, if everyone really enjoys it maybe we come back with episode 3 where we make wood sculptures, syrups, etc.

This has inspired me to try something vaguely similar, instead of just wood it’s plain recourse extraction, fur pelts, metals, and wood. So far it’s super fun.
Its honestly very enjoyable, its just a bit tedious at times. Let me know how your raw resource colony goes!

@@Rat_Knight it's not that bad. I've been told before I care way too much about other people's audio. Best way I can describe it would be, yknow when someone screams and you can feel it? It's just the occasional peaks that were sort of piercing. It was only the beginning of the video and didn't seem present in any of your older content. Wish I had something to offer on how to sort it, unfortunately I don't as it could be many things causing it :/

They're both actually the same Era! The victorian Era started in 1820 and most westerns are set in the 1850s.
I love the idea behind this playthrough, gonna try something similar myself but with medieval locked tech and a tribal nomad group where I have to move at least 5 tiles every quadrum

I really like your style and story telling, subbed. Slight criticism however; The music is too loud and doesn’t generally fit, it feels off. Also you should hide the UI to make it feel more cinematic. Other than that I really enjoyed it and look forward to watching all future episodes of birch living in the woods eating raw carcasses.
