    Legitimately did this with a full batch of Taylormade Tour Responses (the ones with the pre drawn thick aim line). Only 2 of them had the low centre of gravity that was on that line. One was nearly horizontal. Marked them and played with one today and shot 1 over for 9 holes (currently a 10 handicap) so best of the season so far!

      I just found out how legit this is, this week. I will not play with a “bad ball” here out if I can help it!
      Also I’m gonna stop buying balls with alignment aids and I’ll make my own off the balance marks

    I find that If you microwave the balls in course ground pepper it helps with straighter putts out to about 83.5 ft. However humidity may require you use a fine ground pepper instead. Find what works for you.

    I invented an air powered golf ball spin balancer several years ago. It avoids all the messy water. After marking the ball during spin balancing, I invented another machine to computer draw a logo and a 360 degree putting line precisely over the weight offset.

    Does the forward momentum of the ball along with its velocity not counteract the heavy point? An object under force wants to move in the direction of the force so, so surely there would have to be some considerable weight to the heavy side to act against the forward momentum? I mean i guess if the heavy side was on the break side it may extenuate the break but on the same note could you not place the heavy side against the break to straighten the putt?

    I did this. I found that all the balls when rotated in the solution came to a different balance point. This leads me to believe that the balls I tested were so close to being perfect there was no off balance. I even tried different salt level solutions and temperatures.

      Do putts roll at 10k rpm?

    • @SpudOutdoors
      @SpudOutdoors 4 роки тому +2

      @@chuckyz2 the point of your comment? Robots have hit unbalanced balls to show that if not on its perfect center it will shift the direction. Soaking is old school and it’s not a perfect method compared to the ball marker that spins up and finds the perfect roll. Crazy enough but it does make a difference and just cause it’s a premium ball doesn’t mean it’s perfectly balanced.

    • @chuckyz2
      @chuckyz2 4 роки тому

      @@SpudOutdoors the heavy side will always find center. Rather it is a little heavier on one end or lot heavier on that end. Floating can tell you by how fast the heavy end goes to the bottom how far out of balance it is.
      Also, what happens with a braking putt. Does the line stay in line with the direction the ball is going? Why find the balance when you can actually balance the ball? Why mark an unbalanced ball and put it into play? Why not just find perfectly balanced balls and play them? Or figure out a way to balance the ones that are out of balance? With technology being far more advanced these days than in times past, why is it even an issue? But aside from all that, it is an issue and the most rational solution is not alignment of an unbalnced ball, rather it is how to balance that ball so it is no longer out of balance. With bumps and cleat marks and bouncing and getting kicked one way or the other, the alignment will only be a factor on a perfect green with no undulation. Then you have the situations where the ball is actually spinning at 2k to 10k in the air and how the balance can effect that. As it will cause the ball to turn more to one side or the other or to even stop fading or drawing as much as it would compared to a balanced ball. Then how it is effected on miss hits. The only real solution is a true balance. The closest you can expect to get to that is by floating and removing weight from heavy side till the ball no longer comes up to the same spot every time. Then you have the question of how perfectly round is the ball? My question was just to see if anyone would would respond. Your next Q should be how to remove weight without effecting performance. Your Q's to the manufacturers should be why we have to bother when we know they can make them balanced if they wanted to.

      This one "minor consideration" was buried within Van Halens contracts with entertainment venues on purpose. If Van Halen management walked into the dressing room and there WERE brown M&Ms there they then knew for sure that other things in the contract were also missed... it was then time to find out what.

      He said 20 inches OFFLINE, didn’t say it was a dead straight putt without any breaks, also obviously he wasn’t taking about the greens on your everyday municipal golf courses. The bigger the break and the faster the green is, the more your mistake will be MAGNIFIED, including both man-made mistake as well as equipment mistakes like golf balls with center of gravity being off-center. On the tour the green speed rating is usually above 10, and if it breaks more than once which is very likely possible for a 20 foot putt, missing the cup by 20 inches is certainly possible

      I literally can't believe the amount of people commenting that this is either nonsense, not worth the time and effort and money, along with the people who discredit it just because Bryson is doing it.

    • @BenjaminMcCormickCreative

      I've been doing this for 30 years, literally since I started playing golf, because I read that Ben Hogan used to do it back when he was on Tour. Granted, back in his day a serious tour pro needed to do it due to the lax manufacturing standards of the time compared to today. I think a lot of commenters are complaining about the method because they don't like Bryson, not because the method doesn't work.

      @@BenjaminMcCormickCreative Lax manufacturering standards? They weren't "lax standards"... they were doing the best they could with the technology that was available at that time.

      @@jerryjeromehawkins1712 I disagree. It wasn't until the big-name pros started complaining about the quality and consistency that the manufacturers started tightening up on QA standards. The ones who started to focus on quality were the brands that became more successful as time went on.

    Tell you a little secret the Dollai Lama once told me…If you want 350 yard straight drives every time dip your balls in a ice cold solution of honey and coconut water…the coconuts must come from the Wagga Wagga tree on Island St. Vincent in Bahamas and the honey from the Tibetian Klandathu honey tree. Whilst dipping yoh must chamt the words Gungalagunga 20 times. So I tried it and you know what…..I was bombing my drives on av 330 and straight. Only side effect I had was my scrotum became very saggy and chicken skin like and my pubic hairs on my balls turned white as if from old age which my Fiance found a bit disgusting.😂😂😂

    Someone needs to teach the Physics major's coach some physics...a perfectly balanced ball is not going to spin in the water...that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard in my life (Please see Newton's Laws).

    meanwhile, he’s throwing out 3-9 dollars every dozen, buying lead tape, markers, pitchers, water, salt etc . But you know it saves money 😅🤷🏼‍♂️🙃😂

      How much more money will a tour pro make on a tournament if he makes one extra putt every two rounds? This seems like a no brainer.

    If you told Mr. Dechambeau that mixing parrot droppings and vinegar together and soaking golf balls in that mixture made them travel farther, he would very likely try it. What I'm so delicately trying to say is that his name can safely be removed from the list of people who might win a Nobel Prize.

      Because if it were true, DoucheShampoo would be winning every week or at least placing 2nd or 3rd. The guy is a fucking head case and tries to science his way out of shit instead of saying “well maybe I hit a bad shot”

      Flounder VFW These great players did win many tournaments, but that has nothing to do with idea that out-of-balance balls may not roll true. Someone had to win those early tournaments and if NO ONE was paying any attention to poorly weighted balls, then it had no impact on who won. So again, explain how an out-of-balance ball rolls as true as one that is not.
