I think the only thing I felt was missing was the line was skipped where he says "You loved her and you killed her" but instead it's just the same "You should just die"
I feel like adding in that last line is just so much more heartbreaking.
Also the "OMORI WILL not succumb."

this is nice however the thumbnail should be changed, it implies omori isthe final boss of OMORI with the thumbnail being sunny sprite Vs omori sprite and saying OMORI final boss people can put things together

As cool as that would be, doing so would require remaking the entire game from scratch as both games run on completely different game engines. Well the art assets still be there, but that's a lot of file digging. The amount of work that would have to go into making the battle system the exact same as Deltarune's would essentially be like making a whole new game. It wouldn't be as simple as making a mod

I really liked the animation! The way he attacks the actual box is super cool, and it all looks fluid and natural! My biggest gripe is that all the attacks are so fast, if someone were to be playing it, it's borderline unreactable, kind of like the first attack SANS does in undertale.If his attacks were slower, I'd think it was a mod, since it looks that nice. Keep up the great work!

@buny0058 Yeah, but that's the beauty of him already not succumbing. Fighting your darkest fears isn't fast and unreactable. It's terrifying, yes, but slow, methodical, and inevitably painful. The hardest part is knowing what's coming, and still struggling to fight on till the end, even if it's a hopeless battle. I love how it looks, i just feel like it looks less like gameplay than it could, such as how in Deltarune against Jevil, it all is reactable, but keeps the feeling of speed and chaos needed for it to feel like a fight against Jevil.
TL;DR, I think that the animation nails most of the feeling from the games it's inspired by, but it looses the fact that they're games, in the fact that the attacks are way too fast. You want the player to absorb everything, and it'd be really hard to follow Omori's attacks if you were playing it.
tbh the heart movements look unnatural to me and I agree with you on the attack speed thing

(although ERASE and HACK AWAY are pretty devastating)

This is really good, the only criticism I have is that the character sprites are too small, and they are too far apart from each other, otherwise this is great. Someone should make a mod of this.
I really hope this video gets more recognition honestly because of the whole Jevil and sans fight that had 1 million views I really hope this video gets more then that some day.

Dont get me wrong, I love deltarune fighting style and love omori, but this video for me represents how good omory graphic style has and why this style really doesn't give me the same vibes. This battle seems really...off? to me. just doesn't give the same feeling of fighting my depressive self who is looking right at me without any expression on his face. But credits and cheers for the video and it's creator, is really amazing!

This is good and all, but a nice touch would be if you added the energy bar and have it fill everytime sunny narrowly dodges an attack (Although I realize using energy is impossible during the final boss anyway, but I still think it would have been neat)

I thought there would be some kind of animation on the knee again from all sorts of non-animators who love deltarun and undertale, but surprisingly this is a very good job. I like it.

Hey Maybe you can recreate some of the endgame Omori fights only in the hikkomori route. Those fights would be interesting.

the only issue here is that hanging bodies in the last phase are supposed to be kel, aubrey, hero and basil, not just mari
if i could, i would just make this, and make it very customizable
I really love this! especially since i'm a fan of both.
But in my personal opinion, i prefer the original fight and overall battle system in OMORI. I guess the reason why is because OMORI's battle system is quite different from others, especially the emotions chart. And a if OMORI did not have it, the game wouldn't be that surprising for me. And the way *SPOILERS*
OMORI says "You loved her, and you killed her." To SUNNY was like a thousand sharp knives to my heart.
(And also the comparison of deltarune and OMORI lol)

Cool fight animation you have there
Great and all, but you’ve got the wrong corpses hanging in the background. The actual battle has, from left to right, Kel, Basil, Hero, and Aubrey all hanging. It’d hard to see, but Aubrey’s bow is definitely spotable, most of the other distinctive features of the characters are obscured by red hands or hellmari, and their order isn’t visible without seeing the image of them all hanging in the files, which is separate from the images containing Hellmari and the red hands.
