Märklin did quite a lot of customized versions upon customer request; these one-offs could be rather elaborate and would never show up in any catalogs. I wouldn't rule out that this engine's valvegear and rods were added in the factory as a special order.
all I can say is it looks like mine that I bought outside Stuttgart 30 years ago. However the tender looks like a repaint , and the grey color doesn't match. I also noticed aging paint on parts of the body and smoke deflectors (beginning krakalee.) This is original I think. In those early 1930's handmade days there was much room for differences in models. I have the same set of appropriate cars that you ran with the CER.
The tender is absolutly original all the paint is original besides some small touch ups.(UV check) Most of the CER locomotives i know have a slightly different tender color. I don't know if you read the description of the video, but the question was whether the connecting rods and steam slide control rods are original.
You mean the one in the video? Check the side rods, i never seen one like this. The connecting rod normally always runs from the cylinder to the rear driving wheel. On my locomotive the connecting rod goes to the front driving wheel. And the "Steuerung" is nothing like all the others.

Very nice locomotive 👍👍 I think the connecting rods are original or it is a very successful amateur job

the picture in the Catalogs has not been changed from the beginning. All the cer's I have seen by now are identical with above one.
