Exploring the tones on the minelab vanquish
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 лют 2025
- In this video, I explore the tones and the VDI numbers that the minelab vanquish metal detector gives on certain coins. I cover both common coins and artefacts found in the UK. I also show you how to read the VDI numbers on the coin to determine the type of the coin it could be.
If you're looking for a metal detector that can find all types of coins, then the minelab vanquish may be the detector for you! In this video, I show you how to use the detector to find coins that are both . I also show you how to read the VDI numbers on the coin to get an idea of the quality of the coin or artefact.
Thanks for the comments, more similar films like this to come soon, may not get as many views as normal but they help people a lot which is the main thing!
Excellent info regarding tones on the vanquish machines, very helpful
Thanks for watching sir 👍🏼
@unearthed-detecting-tv very helpful I've not long purchased the vanquish 440 and just after watching your video it has helped to make sense of the tones. Thank you 👍
Just started out as a total newbie with the 340 and this has been really helpful, thank you 😃
Excellent! Feel free to subscribe to the channel as I think you will enjoy it 😉
Thanks Graeme very helpful. Would be great to see and hear it being used in a detecting session.
Hope it helps kate, im sure it will
Very good information for the vanquish users. All the best to you and Mel for Christmas. ❤
Thanks jax , all the best to you and chris too
Link shared to my neighbour who's got a 340... cheers Graeme... and merry Christmas to yourself and Mel...
Thanks steve
Great video with a brilliant test with the hammered on edge, most interesting 👍
Glad you enjoyed it my friend
@unearthed-detecting-tv that's the kinda test I think everyone could draw some inspiration. Cool 😎 demo
@mrjohnson6338 i hope so mate
I love my Vanquish ❤ great machine for the money 😊
Agreed!!!
Thanks for sharing,very interesting,cheers
Thanks paul, glad it helps 👍
Very useful information, scary to think about what you may have passed up thinking oh it’s just trash.great explanation & visual tutorial.Nice work!
Thanks john 👍🏼
Very helpful, thanks for posting the vid! I just picked up a 440 and am waiting impatiently for spring here in Canada so I can start using it.
I hope it helps! Please subscribe to the channel as I think you will enjoy it 😀
Banging signals glad you put the hammered on edge they are rarely laid flat! I did a video against a vanquish this year and was impressed with its performance. Only negative is the batteries you go through!
You know what my vanquish are all good on batteries
@@unearthed-detecting-tv I think good batteries last one session
@dalegowing something not right there
One session? That doesn't sound right. I've easily got 8 or 9 hours on one set of batteries and they're still good to go.
@daynemichaels9256 i agree
Good demonstration Graeme, you would dig those signals all day long, good machines.
Thanks john, a very decent machine indeed mate, thanks for watching
Chilly 🥶 nice target response vanquish 5 😊 I be looking into this in future.
Very easy to operate too
I bet looks great that u n Mel have a very lovely Xmas n a happy new year 🎆🎆😇
@Rain-nw2vk you too rain, i will raise a glass to you and yours!
@@unearthed-detecting-tv 😎bless you
Nice one Graeme, me mate bought that machine for his partner sent him the link for your vid hope you don't mind hopefully will help him to tune it for her, many thanks, all the best to you and Mel hope 2024 will be good to you.👍
Interesting seeing how different the tone was on the hammered coin on edge but the numbers stay the same. I've had people tell me to ignore the numbers on my vanquish and just concentrate on the tone.
Yep tones always win stu
Thanks very much. Brilliant video. I’ve learned loads about my vanquish 340. 👍🏻
That's great to know, feel free to subscribe to the channel as I think you will enjoy it
The hammered on edge was very interesting mate I think a lot of people with a range of detectors will learn from that, me included. Merry Christmas to you and Mel
Thanks for watching mate, see you soon
Had my 340 vanquish since first lockdown, it has been awesome. I have found a huge selection of coins and relics.
Now I’m looking for something with more customisable settings.
Hi, they are a good intro machine for sure, you need to check out the x terra elite, what a machine that is, I have attached my website for you to view them- www.uneartheduk.co.uk
@@unearthed-detecting-tv thank you,
So you would advise me to stick to Minelab machines?
@@Itsahardknocklife9690 I certainly would! They have a uncanny habit of finding where others struggle...
Thank you so much! You've helped me so much. I've just bought a Vanquish 540 and the double blips were really throwing me off - Cheers ❤
Thanks for watching nicky
Many thanks for the video and also really helpful information which hopefully I can put to good use when I can get out. So many thanks 👍
Very kind of you to watch anthony 👍👍
Very useful that, Graeme. Not planning to do something similar for the X Terra Pro next by any chance?!
Hi mark, yes indeed, i can do that, these films dont get many views straight away but they are slow burners so worth doing for me and worth watching for the detectorist!
Very helpful video. Thank you. Brand new 540 user. This has helped no end. 👍
I'm glad to hear it sir
Very useful info very informative very helpful for those learnering the machine thanks.
Thanks peter 👍
Just getting my 1st detector a 440 and that was brilliant help.
We have a great deal on currently with a free pinpointer with the 440, check it out here! www.uneartheduk.co.uk
@@unearthed-detecting-tv Many thanks, yes everyone seems to have the same deal, I got mine from CMD, but for other things I will have a look on your site, thanks
Helpful video thanks, just got my 440 today from you and been straight out in the back garden, got a clear and loud 22, dug out and rooted around then nothing, will need to get a bit more used to it, thanks for your help so far!
You will soon get the hang of it steve
I persevered and can confirm my first ‘find’ is a 1”1/2 wood screw 😂
@@stevemcgrath6420 that's a start!!
On my equinox I cannot rely on the VDI numbers as they jump all over the place. BUT, with my 340 on the beach, the numbers are rock solid almost every time. So yes, with the Vanquish you can rely on the numbers, it's a fantastic machine. Oh, and on the beach it can detect deeper in sand than the nox every time.
I've got the 340 for beach detecting. I can confirm I get exactly the same numbers as you for lead and pound coins, in often highly mineralised black sand. On the beach you do not need any other detector, it's that good.
Yes they are very good
Valeu amigos 👍
Thank you
Happy explore beach in Lombok Indonesia with vanquis 340, I ve known the tone of my love vanquis
Excellent sir
Really really useful! Thanks!
You are welcome john, feel free to subscribe to the channel as I think you will enjoy it
The vanquish series is good but imho if deeper targets gave a fainter response it would be a cracking machine.Yeh I get the depth gauge, however that is never as good as variable modulation.
Iron circle staff shows similar tones. I need to switch to all metal mode to see its clean signal.
Nice one Pete
Just bought a 440
thank you, very helpful
Thanks Fiona
Strange thing is on the vanquish 540 on a real specimen gold nugget it will go off on a mid-tone in between the lowest tone and the highest tone
Interesting info tony
I notice in your Shorts Videos that you are missing the: "Created from"... your original video link it was created from. I'm try to monitize my Channel , reason I know. (Ck one of my Shorts to see) You can't imput this on your phone but only on your desktop after you upload/schedule it. Hope this helps you to continue to grow to 10K Faster! :)
Thanks ken 90% of my shorts are not from longform videos and are made exclusively as a short
@@unearthed-detecting-tv Ah, gotcha 👌
What about the depth sir
Very good depth
Try gold jewellery and note the tone break in the moďes.
How does the depth target show up on this machine?
Any depth indicators are purely a secondary system that really is only an indicator, not entirely accurate sir
@@unearthed-detecting-tv yeah I know it's not precise but I was making a total mistake with this machine yesterday. I thought the numbers flashing up were the depth until I watched your video and realised that's the target😂
