Other facts you could have included are 1. Arnold's Grandpa carries a picture of Heidi Lamar 2. In Majority of fan-fics Lilla is made out to be the antagonist 3.Bartley said in an Interview that Helga and Arnold are meant for each other and eventually get married 4. Ludwig and Wolfgang are based off composers
Fact #59 was declared false by Bartlett Craig himself during an interview with Arun , in which he explains that rumors about the Pigeon man are wrong. When they wrote the script for this episode and planned the scenes, they never intended for viewers to misinterpret the ending of this episode to be this morbid. They were actually thinking of making a sequel where Pigeon Man turns out to be in Paris, a place much more known for its sophisticated city and classy people. Unfortunately, it was never created and thus, people have started making rumors without even having solid proof to back it up.
They get married EVENTUALLY. The plot of the Helga spinoff was the two of them breaking up when Arnold moves to South America. She was supposed to write him letters during the series. They would have reconciled later. So, not entirely WRONG, but not presented with all available information. :)
I must be the only one not ok with that. That's shipping I never got behind nor could I see it working. In my eyes I always saw it ending up Arnold and Lyla, Gerald and Phoebe (Despite how much I don't like that one) Harold and Rhonda, Nadine and Stinky, Curly and Eugene
LOL. Curly and Eugene? Man, that sounds delightfully disastrous. Curly's evil and sadistic streak coupled with Eugene's tendency to get seriously injured would make for a relationship dynamic that wouldn't be out of place on a slapstick vaudeville stage. I approve entirely. ;)
Seriously. I don't see this ship either. Helga clearly has emotional problems because of her parents and she is a stalker (she was one of my favorite characters btw lol). Arnold seems entirely too stable for her lol.
Arnold and Helga will eventually get together in the jungle movie. I can't wait to see that happen. I have shipped these two together since forever. They are so cute. People who say that they wouldn't work out together have no idea what they are talking about and are obviously not big fans of the show. Many fans who watched the whole show ship arnold and helga and understand that they are meant for each other. They are complete opposites that complete and attract each other. The reason that Helga was so “mean” to Arnold was because of her pent up frustration toward her parents who, as mean as she could be to them, still didn’t pay her much attention. Then there were the peers at school who took the way she presented herself for face value and didn’t bother to get to know her further. The way Arnold was still nice to her after the way she treated him was an affirmation for Helga; who still cares for you even when you’re a bitch? Someone who loves you. Even if she knew it unconsciously, it was still there. It kept her dependency on having Arnold in her life there. She felt like someone finally cared for her. He represents the qualities in herself that weren’t nurtured by a warm environment, so they lie deep inside of her because any time she has shown them, she has been rejected or ignored. It’s apparent in a lot of situations that arnold inspires helga to want to show these qualities. The Helga/Arnold story is a look into the hope and inspiration you can find in people when the ones closest to you have let you down and how even the smallest of kind gestures can change a person’s world. This is why they are my favorite couple and I can't wait for them to finally get together. :)
One fact you missed: The idea of Helga being secretly in love with Arnold came from Lisa Groening. She said in an interview that she came up with that idea because she felt that Nickelodeon already had a regular blonde pigtailed bully in Angelica from "Rugrats". So she was the one who actually suggested the thing that made the show so popular.
+zalien6 no, but the school Arnold went to P.S118 is an actual school in New York. All public elementary schools in New York have the letters P.S and a 2 digit or 3 digit number following. That is how I know he lives in NY.
+Chan D well then it's probably a city inspired by NYC then who knows? cause the real P.S. 118 and the Hey Arnold one don't really look alike... they both have that prison look though.
Here are some facts about Dino Spumoni for you: 1.) His first name was taken from Dino Crocetti, better known as Dean Martin. 2.) His last name was taken from an Italian dessert. 3.) He was described by creator Craig Bartlett as a "low-rent" Frank Sinatra. 4.) In the episode "Arnold's Christmas," Helga wants a pair of "Nancy Spumoni signature snow boots." Nancy Spumoni shares a name with Frank Sinatra's daughter, Nancy Sinatra, who is famous for her song "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'." 5.) The episode "Dino Checks Out," in which it's revealed that Dino faked his own death to inflate record sales, was aired the year after Frank Sinatra died.
Arnold grandmother she is cool and a fun person to hangout with considering she is a awesome person who freed a turtle with Arnold and saved a train they rode on when it was stuck. also she is really funny.
"Lila has a repressed dark side." I knew it! "Arnold and Helga would have dated, gone through stormy times, broken up, but still kept in touch." Nooooo! I want them to be together!
+raynaldo arlen k.eman Yeah, I know, given Helga's obsession and how starved she is for love of any kind, not just romantic, it probably wouldn't be the healthiest of relationships, but still, I like to think they worked it out. In the "Married" episode, it seemed like Arnold was going to get through to Helga and help her be okay with her feelings . . . just before he woke up from his dream, of course.
I have good news. Craig said when he confirmed the Jungle movie recently, he said he was going to have Arnold and Helga date and grow up and get married. (Rhonda's fortune teller thing worked!)
Well I do think they would have got married. Cause in an episode it is revealed that Arnold's grandpa and grandma had the same relationship as Arnold and Helga as kids. So there is a chance they could get become a couple.
Well, I meant they would end up together eventually, as in getting married when they were older. Obviously 9-year=old Helga would never tell Arnold her real feelings (and yes, she did in the film, but she took it back later), but maybe she'd get up the courage later. Or maybe Arnold would figure it out on his own and tell her he loves her, too.
Actually there was an episode with big Patty where she found out Helga had a crush on Arnold. She stated, "Hey, You and Arnold? You got some kind of thing for him or something?" Helga responds, "no no what are you crazy?" Patty says. "He's kinda cute." Helga replies, "If you like football heads." Then they both smile at each other.
+M Halley I think Patty never knew for sure, which is why Bartlett started that only Brainy, Phoebe, Lila and Dr. Bliss knew. Big Patty simply speculated that Arnold and Helga both had crushes on each other. She said, "Hey. Don't mind me asking but you and Arnold, you got some kind of thing for each other?" to which Helga angrily denied, but Patty knowingly smiled.
tlessmo Yeah, I remember that. But he said that Arnold would be out of the room, when the entire class would find out and they would all go "Duh!" and go back to what they were doing.
Lol, I like how Craig Bartlett made a cartoon filled with characters who were similar to kids he knew when he was a kid...maybe that's why it seems so realistic and down-to-earth! :)
Actually for #29, in Season 1, Arnold was voiced by Toran Caudell, Season 2 and 3 was by Phillip Van Dyke, and Season 4 and 5 was by Spencer Klein. Alex D. Linz voiced Arnold in a couple episodes of Season 5. For #77 did anyone else noticed that the picture at 13:25 wasn't actually Lila? It was Lulu, Lila's alternative counterpart, from "Arnold Visits Arnie" Also for #30, I didn't realize Spencer Klein was the preferred Arnold voice haha I actually preferred Toran Caudell myself :)
+Aptom7747 we need a LOT of things from the 90s to have closure T.T or at least to come back rather than MOST (not all. I know there are still good shoes like gravity falls, adventure time, stephen unviverse, etc) horrible "kids" shows nowadays. back in the 90s the "kids" shows could be enjoyed at least KINDA by adults too cuz they took more risks.
Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie was the best conclusion to the Hey Arnold show because it brought out as much characters as possible, it showed the old episode memories from the seasons of how Arnold helped out everyone, Arnold and Helga got together as a couple, Gerald and Phoebe are a thing, Arnold finally got to see his parents and the story was very interesting. Even though the film brought out the answers that we were waiting for, the show should continue for Hey Arnold because in the jungle movie, Arnold only now started to get together with Helga and his parents which makes their relationships have new fresh beginning that can go on in season 6. The further seasons can show how Arnold's life is going on as he's growing up from 6th grade to high school or college. The further seasons can also show more higher risk situations that Arnold can get into and how he'll have to deal with it. With these new starts from the jungle movie, Hey Arnold can be a perfect show to reboot to season 6 and onwards as he's growing up. This would be perfect for fans who miss the show and want more episodes to see better stories of Arnold. That is why I believe that Hey Arnold should continue on with more episodes and movies!!!!!
God, WHY did did they have to cancel the jungle movie? It really does seem like we would have gotten the perfect closure to this iconic 90's childhood show! Seriously, this was one of the classic kids shows as a child! Not all this bubblegum, artificial crap I just keep seeing nowadays. If they do end up successfully re-booting this show, I do seriously hope they get it right. And I agree with how the Arnold Betrays Iggy was the WORST episode in the series! I always hated watching it whenever it came on TV. But if we could either get the movie or TV re-boot, which would you pick?
When I was 10. The episode that touched my heart and made me tear up was the Hey Arnold Christmas Episode. The story of Mr. Hyuhn and his daughter. The Vietnam War. That made me cry. 20 years later it still does. That was a tough episode but it touched my heart. After all my dad served in the Air Force from 1974-1995. The Vietnam War ended in 1975. He was lucky not to go but he still got honors for serving in it. He did go to the following wars: Panama, Haiti, Grenada, and Desert Storm. Retired as a beneficiary in 1995. Could have lived in Saudi Arabia. Thank God he retired. Both of my parents are still alive today (thank God) but my dad got remarried and my mom wants to remain single. I'm happy they are both happy despite being divorced.
+ChannelFrederator can you total drama facts some about the island, action, world tour, revenge of the island, all stars, pakihtew island and the ridoncoulos race i spelld some of them wrong sory
Omg. Premiered in 1996. That's when first came to the US. This makes hey arnold even more special. And the fact that Craig was inspired by the Alaskan way viaduct...I'm from seattle
I remember one episode I was literally in tears laughing , it's when Arnold's family and Helgas family go to the same beach and Big bob tans too much, and gets badly sunburnt and he tries to go out and find his wife to go home and he falls down the stairs while sunburnt 😂😂
There is an interview with Craig Bartlett mentioning the Helga/Arnold relationship. Though you said they would have had a rocky relationship, he said himself that in the jungle movie they were supposed to get together, live happilly ever after, have the childrinz and such and generally be happy. Might want to check it out! It was a fun interview! Its the most recent one from 2013 i think.
Ugh, I didn't want this to end. I miss this show. I'm afraid if they do a reboot, it won't have any of the charm it originally had.. :/ But I still watch the reruns. But I wish they would have gone through with the Jungle movie and Helga's spin off. I also wish Brainy had his own episode, I think he's one of the few who didn't have an episode about them.
Fun fact! Did you guys know Craig Bartlette, the series creator watched this video, and said that about 1/3rd of the "facts" aren't true? He states it in a recent interview here directory.libsyn.com/episode/index/id/3895567 at 15 minutes in. Even said that ALL of the Pigeon Man "facts" were untrue. Can't help but wonder about these "facts" videos now, to be honest.
Um, you forgot Toran Caudell who was the first one to play Arnold. You even showed a clip of him when you said kids played the voices of the characters -_-
When I made a Top-16 list of my favorite animated television series, Hey Arnold! ended up at #8. As your 107 facts say, Hey Arnold! used actual children as voices instead of adult impersonators. I like animation projects that allow real children to voice the child characters. It feels cute, touching and just natural. I will admit I like the stories as well, as some like Arnold as Cupid, Field Trip, Arnold's Hat,6th Grade Girls, Pigeon Man and Abner Comes Home get interesting and heartwarming. My only complaint is that other stories are either dull or cruel, but I won't say which ones for the sake of this television project. Overall, I think Hey Arnold! is one of the best animation projects Nickelodeon has ever created.
+perseus Jupiter Next to the Oblongs,Making Fiends,Evil Con Carne,Sit Down Shut Up,Home Movies,Sheep in the Big City,Invader Zim and Mike Lou and Og this should never get cancelled
Most of the characters are left-handed like Craig Bartlett including Arnold, Helga, and Rhonda. There may be some instances where they use their right-hands for dominant uses like Arnold holding chopsticks in one episode or Helga writing with her right hand. She may be more ambidextrous due to her passion for writing.
Amazing series: their only regret should be not going with some of their Darker storylines. That would have made this already incredible series truly timeless.
NattyJane Actually Craig the creator of the show mentioned that if he ever let the show run more like let's say gave The Patakis show a shot he would let Helga keep the unibrow which is so pretty imho. He also mentioned that her hair would be let down in waves but I actually think Helga looked very pretty and unique the way she was animated but waves would look gorgeous on her as well:D
I always wanted to know why everybody on the show drove such old looking cars, even though the show supposedly took place in the '90's. I figure it's probably because the animators just like the look of classic cars.
Arnold Yea, they never said to theaters. so no they did not say it themselves on Twitter. yes they are finishing it but its a 2 hour/ 2 part movie that will come out in 2017
this is what they said. right from them on twitter/facebook and everywhere else "A two-part animated TV movie written and executive produced by the series’ original creator Craig Bartlett, will pick up where the original series ended and resolve unanswered questions and plotlines, including Arnold finally getting answers about the whereabouts of his missing parents"
Hate to say it guys, but I'm pretty sure Nancy Spumoni Snowboots were a reference to Nancy Sinatra and her hit song These Boots Are Made For Walking, not Roxy. I mean it just makes sense since Dino Spumoni is Frank Sinatra (combined with a little Dean Martin).
I don't know how I ended up here and I don't care about 107 facts I just remember those dire mornings in my pre-teens when I hated going to school and the only thing comforting was Hey Arnold.
I love hey Arnold I love the 90's things the fact that he love music and is always listening I just...I just love and loved this show so much, some times I still watching to remember
Arnold brings up such an almost painful feeling of nostalgia. We really weren't finished with it yet.

I loved that they finished the jungle movie. So many questions were answered and fan theories and hopes confirmed.
Omg. Premiered in 1996. That's when first came to the US. This makes hey arnold even more special. And the fact that Craig was inspired by the Alaskan way viaduct...I'm from seattle
The Jungle Movie was the much needed closure the series needed. Thank god they came out with it.
You put a LOT of work into this channel, mane. Either way, Hey Arnold is a classic! So many great childhood memories watching it.
OMG! I'm so happy that you guys finally make Teen Titans and Rugrats!

SOO EXITED IT WAS MY CHILDHOOD!!!
WAIT WHAT?! :D
This is the most captivating 18:47min I've spent in a very long time. Viva Hey Arnold!!!
I remember one episode I was literally in tears laughing , it's when Arnold's family and Helgas family go to the same beach and Big bob tans too much, and gets badly sunburnt and he tries to go out and find his wife to go home and he falls down the stairs while sunburnt 😂😂
That episode is called "Summer Love".
Toran Caudell voiced Arnold in season 1, you gotta show him respect
After Toran stopped being Arnold in season 2, Toran voiced Wolfgang.
Hey Arnold will always be my favorite show EVER!
fact 108 Hey Arnold had gunshots in the background when he went to Torvald's hood
;-;
Craig Bartlett has confirmed that fact #59 is untrue.
Toran Caudell was my favourite Arnold. He had such a smooth, buttery voice.
Channel Frederator should do an episode about Kablam or Are You Afraid of The Dark.
+John Warkoski YES and YES!!!
+ChannelFrederator I like hey arnold
107 on catdog
+marquita henson yes
They need to make The Jungle movie, THE NEED!
Pleaseeee!!! 107 Regular Show facts!!

Fun fact: Hey Arnold Came out the same day as Arthur
Um, you forgot Toran Caudell who was the first one to play Arnold. You even showed a clip of him when you said kids played the voices of the characters -_-

YAAAASS!
happy 20th anniversary " hey arnold"
I remember watching the premier of this show, can't believe it has been just about 20 years since then. That's crazy
Wow. So Arnold and Helga do have something in common after all 😁
Love me some Hey Arnold
Hey Arnold stopped airing the day after I was born?!?!
+ColdNiNja 9 COINCIDENCE???!!
+ChannelFrederator I THINK NOT!
Loool

Great job they got rid of hey Arnold because you were born... Thanks a lot..

They should have thrown in that Rhonda secretly likes Harold but is embarrassed to let her classmates know
That would've been cool

Ed Edd N Eddy Please please please please ,please
Do it
+Coolcid Productions i want that too :)
Right on
+Coolcid Productions Please!
I love how this was posted right before my birthday! Thanks for this lovely birthday gift haha
Amazing series: their only regret should be not going with some of their Darker storylines. That would have made this already incredible series truly timeless.
Helga looks super pretty in The Jungle Movie poster with her hair down 😘😍
Us get rid of the uni brow and she would be perfect
YAAAAASSSS
ON MEEEE
NattyJane Actually Craig the creator of the show mentioned that if he ever let the show run more like let's say gave The Patakis show a shot he would let Helga keep the unibrow which is so pretty imho. He also mentioned that her hair would be let down in waves but I actually think Helga looked very pretty and unique the way she was animated but waves would look gorgeous on her as well:D
this is the greatest youtube channel ever.
I always wanted to know why everybody on the show drove such old looking cars, even though the show supposedly took place in the '90's. I figure it's probably because the animators just like the look of classic cars.
they have confirmed in 2017 that a hey Arnold jungle movie is coming to theaters
to theaters? where did you hear that?
+Azyria they are finishing the project/ movie and releasing it in 2017. Nickelodeon said it themselves on twitter
Oh my god ! " Hey Arnold ! " was my favorite animated cartoon from Nickelodeon , this better not be a lie ! 😭
One of the best cartoons of the 90s and 2000s.
Another 107 facts about Hey Arnold!!
TJM is coming!!! Thanksgiving 2017 can't come soon enough. 😉
Dez13dreamer yessssss
Fun Fact: The mailman is played by singer Lou Rawls, and his voice is highlighted in the tonsils episode where he sings along with Gerald.
3:52 thanks for the nostalgic nightmare fuel.....
;-;
You should do an episode on Recess
William Roney I come from the future. A 107 on recess is made
I love this show so much, always have, still will
Lila.... with an "I" sounds..... not "Leela". :(
107 facts about teen titans and its the good one XD
Some fantastic digging! Congrats
You're correct about the Nancy Sinatra reference (considering Dino was an amalgamation of Deam Martin and Frank).
And obviously I mean "Dean". Blargh.
David Stumpfl
I don't know how I ended up here and I don't care about 107 facts I just remember those dire mornings in my pre-teens when I hated going to school and the only thing comforting was Hey Arnold.
Thanks for making the show :) really!
Fact 29 is inaccurate. There where four voices for Arnold and Toran Caudell was the voice in season one.
His last name I thought it was a nickname ! I knew the teacher was gay! I love!
I love hey Arnold I love the 90's things the fact that he love music and is always listening I just...I just love and loved this show so much, some times I still watching to remember
Years later, the movie returns
And they still managed to make the movie nostalgic and lovable! Thats hard to do!
