I lived at Daisy Hill and explored the forest. I ran into an old bloke out there who said "don't you know who I am?" I didn't know him so he introduced himself as Glen Shailer. That was almost thirty years ago.
I was down there today , having a look around & found some interesting rock formations. I”m off work with a broken hand so I’ll head back down that way Thursday, got a interesting quartzy hill & creek to revisit tomorrow on the northern side of that park . I got know idea what I’m looking at , but I still find it fascinating! Thanks for your videos.
@@t-rocks1960 I just realized I used to go to Thai Chi at the end of Dennis Road. It is called The Springwood Mediation Centre now and was run by a monk. I never knew about the Dennis family then so that is very interesting now.

Were you having a bit of fun covering up your mode of transport with a car that looked like WalkaboutwithRob's blue Toyobaru BRZ86? You should use a picture of his car all the time! Excellent geological diagnosis as always, I reckon rivalling Professor Nick Zentner's videos, even though he is only a Uni lecturer and interprets geology reports and publications
@@t-rocks1960 I was going to email you about this, but figured comments help the algorithm to more likely promote the videos: I for one, would like to see a video explaining the technical side of how imaging, including LIDAR, works, to determine soil & rock content; or whether the data relies solely on core samples...or is it by some sort of powerful ground penetrating RADAR or magnetic anomalies? I think such a video would be right up your alley mate! 😉👍

The 2nd mine was on the advice from a dowser. No surprise no payable gold was found.
I"m not a dowser fan, they seem to be able to detect gullibility and cash pretty well though.
I am working on a vid on the Shailer coal mine, soon..
this is what we need 🤠 instructions how to find some gold 🙏
So interesting, pretty spot Daisy Hill too.
It really is!

Another awesome T-Rocks episode!👍👍
That was ultra surprising by the way, that so much thorium is there! It's a wonder it hasn't been mined...yet
Probably has some Monazite in the sandstone.
