That would not be a surprise. All the Quartz reefs down there probably has Arsenopyrite and gold in them. How much is the question, with gold at over $2k an once...Maybe now days..
Arsenopyrites are very prolific around Nundubbermere outside of Stanthorpe. There was an arsenic mine there, just like the one at Tent Hill in northern NSW.
I love your content mate. Thank you for sharing your insight and knowledge, I own property between Warwick and Stanthorpe and have a few gold mines located around mine and my mates property. Very fun. I lost my dad at the start of the year and it was his favorite thing to do, im following his dream of prospecting its great. 🍻
The dream of gold mining is a virus, once you get it it never leaves you. The geology of that area if really complex, A lot of geothermal possibilities. If you want a geo map of your place, email me the approximate location and I'll do one for you.
I certainly is mate, it’s a hobby he taught me young and I do have the virus haha. That would be awesome if you could do that for me mate. There’s quite abit of volcanic activity around there as well. Very complex. I appreciate your generosity mate and I will take you up on that. How can I email you.

Do you know of the Kingston mine, near Diamond Street. (Now a park). Apparently the shaft was used to dump toxic chemicals and was filled by council many years ago.
I tried. It was over 100 years ago, It's mostly got houses on it now. And the others are on inaccessible private land. They were just shafts, none went into full production, as it was all too low grade.
Nice intro 👏👏 Buzz doing its thing 📹 Spotlight is a great setting for the NEO.
Glad you looked at the area there. It's intrigued me for some time. Cheers 🍻.
Beenleigh looked awesome back in the day. Nice one!!! I gotta have chocolate gold coins at Christmas too! Just wouldn’t be right without them.
Interesting 😊
I remember newspaper reports of finding gold during the construction of the carpark at the Hyperdome.

Good video. Had no idea there were gold mines not far from my house.
Thanks Rob, This was one of those videos where I had way too much Stuff, I had to trim to keep the story concise.

A friend of mine owns cane farms at the end of Goldmine Rd, he has told me that there was an old shaft somewhere on the property.
I used to live at Ormeau and drove down Goldmine Road quite a few times. I figured that the name had to have come from an old gold mine.
