they are still fixing, adding and improving the game, bringing patches almost every week. taking their time, you know, and thats ok. i bought the 10$ betakey and its worth every cent. PS: this video shows exactly why i totaly love this game
what you must do: - have a pay to enter league (low cost like 1€/$) and let every one start at lvl cap - Hardcore(so that it makes me pay and additional €/$ to reenter the league) - make your instance Cut-throat for 5 min every time you get a unique(just to keep it interesting) And why, after you beat all act's for the 1st time you aren't really interested in story anymore but making some silly build's without the grind is always fun.
I'm the author of this build and I can comment on the weapon swap question: The weapon swap change was no issue to this character, I was using it more for the convenience of not having to manually change hotkeys on the skillbar rather than to have more skills available. I had one item totally free of gems and removed Determination (it was only 2% damage reduction anyway) to free up some space for auras. I still have Freezing Pulse, Phase Run and Elemental Weakness in use.
was thinking about creating my own righteous fire character, but would have made it differently. also, why reverb over your voice chris? I like it better if it sounds natural
Each to their own. What one finds fun isn't fact to anyone but their personal preference. MultiNastyNate did go a bit overboard, but still he can't be right, only agreeable.
This is just a matter of juggling around a few pieces of equipment and skill points. The way my skill tree is set up, I can get +75% fire resistance for just 4 more passive skill points which will totally nullify the resistance penalty. This will cost me a few life nodes which is a small loss but bearable. If I grab more fire resistance on gear, I can of course save a few skill points here.
Anyway, this game will be free-to-play, so it doesn't need a "wow" factor to pull in as many as people as possible. Path of Exile will rely on having a hardcore base of players that love trying out as many builds as they can think of: players that would spend money on extra character slots and extra room for their item stashes. The game is going to be niche, but that's fine as long as the players that are playing can keep the game going.
I'm pretty sure slower attack animations that can be interrupted is by design: there are nodes on the passive skill tree that increase attack rate and reduce chance to be stunned. Also, Diablo 3 "died" because there was next to no customization. A majority of players just need to play through once because you get all of the skills and runes linearly and you don't even put points into your stats. At the most, you play every class once and that's it.
It's an interesting build, though possibly a bit boring in the long run. On a sidenote, I remember making a max HP/regen dude in Sacred 2 that could take down some of the games bosses while AFK, simply on a bit of thorns damage, because they could not overcome his passive HP regen. He was kinda boring too, but making the character was fun. I kinda like making oddball characters. :) I just wish I wasn't broke so I could buy me a closed beta access .. .ah well, I'll just have to wait..
what..? It's somehow sad that I don't play enough of a single video game closed beta to figure out an arbitrary number? That's confusing to say the least. If anything I'd say it's significantly more "sad" to pull someone up in UA-cam comments for asking a genuine question about an unclear game mechanic. But "no offence" to ya and all that
oh ya totally forgot the skill tree and class idea are not unique let alone the barter system all the customizing you can do on the fly with all kinds of different mats but make those rare aand it makes for a good game such as it is. get past lvl 40 no not even that lvl 50 and then come tell us your comment again.
As someone who owns and plays both PoE and Torchlight 2, I disagree. Path of Exile's character building has a lot of depth (as evidenced by "build of the week" videos) and there are other great things like the consumables-as-currency economy, but the combat itself is not that good.
it's only in Beta and besides and this game has already more end game content then Diablo 3 (just an example). Yes the combat is not as good as Diablo 3/torchlight 2 but then again it is an indie AND they are in Beta so things can change. Maybe it's not the wright game for you, dunno.
there are VERY few flawless "wow" games, and remember that this is an idie game for the most part. Also, it's very hard to make a 'unique' game in the ARPG genre... Diablo 3 isn't unique in my view, torchlight 2 isn't a 'unique' game... But what do you think they could ad to make it better?
this game's most reliably strong builds seem to rely on using multiple auras. has there been any discussion of the opposite idea from 'Inner Force', AKA reducing the power of auras to transfer a separate form of buff? perhaps an active skill?
lol ok....I can appreciate that...I just don't like when people go to a game's videos to knock them. Everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess, just would rather not see the negative ones aired on the developer's video
As i stated, It's not a bad game, and I enjoy it alot, but I feels like it lacks something, I played and enjoyed Diablo 1-2 a lot. So I'm familiar with the dark atmosphere and surroundings.
Love GGG, they look at build like this and go "Hey! what a f*ucked up way to kill things...cool" and nothing gets patched lol blizzard would be nerfing the hell out of this by now.
I wonder how a build like this can survive after the resistance penalties that will get applied. Even purity can't get him to max resistance after you take away 75% all resistance.
Ah, but if I had money to go to Mc Donals in the first place, I'd had money for PoE as well. Alas, I'm more broke than that, and haven't been to a junkfood place for months.
Well they would've patched it if it had been over powered, but that being said they would have made sure it was still viable, if the past is any indication.
Currently I can reach 98% (Purity gem finally leveled up to 17). One more percent can be added by leveling Purity to grant +4% max resist cap (lvl 19 IIRC). On GGG forums there was a discussion about adding the passive node 'Inner Force' which grants increased effects from buffs. With this node it should be possible to reach 100% with flasks. However, it would also increase the damage from the skill which is very dangerous if you run out of flasks.
This is what i love. He says "we never intended people to kill so effectively with righteous.. , but im glad he could do it". If he was blizzard he would have nerfed the spell and marauder, instead hes encouraging players to find their own spec that the makers didnt intend to make.
2:27 - is there a proper definition of "low life"? Always bugs me a bit when that phrase is used it games. I cannot wait for PoE to come out, I was one of the lucky first wave of people to get into the beta way back in september (or was it august?) of last year. It's going to be great!
and the legend was born
Amazing!
Hey dude!
wow, who ever made this is a wonderful theory crafter
this is genius. and another reason to play this game and fully support it.
Oh,Good Ol´times when you could have 3+ auras at once
Correction! "without trying" we get 3+ auras :P

this build was epic lol

I'm not sure what you're asking, I suppose low life means either a character with a low maximum life, or someone who's near death.
that was awesome

this build would give me permanent heart attacks..
AWESOME BUILD DUDE, I HOPE THEY NEVER FIND THIS INCREDIBLE BUILD WHATSOEVER ( From 2k18)
Didn't think that Righteous fire is for something at all :D
i hope this still works even if the resistance patch comes out - 75% buaaa
They said open beta would be released late august its late september now
''Extreme damage''
mmmh. How can you kill big bosses with this build like vaal?
This build in a nutshell:
"Bitches can't even handle how hot I am"
anyone who wants to play this game can... it's cheap compared to competition, and it's the equivalent of buying 3 beers...

low life is below 30% life i believe :)
Guess you cant
But it misses something..
it's only 10$
Release the game
go play diablo 3 maybe that will have the costumization you want :3
And now 2021 19th August : RF build dead it deals soo low damage it sucks as main skill
2023: one of the best builds overall, but has to utilize something like fire trap
go play tl2 fanboy, the combat is 10x better in poe

Never post it on Build of Week if you have a great build . They will nerf it so badly.
if anything it's better now lmao
you do realise that the comment is 4 years old and the video 6, do you?
Wow. This makes me feel old. This game and RF has come so far. Also, Saffell's Frame is still pretty good. AND HE'S NOT EVEN USING A BOW + QUIVER!
The last patch actually nerfed this build by changing how resistances worked. Lol.

every week i think that this is the last unique/strange build and every week they show us a new one... PoE truly rocks
finally this guy gets the recognition he deserves! and i must admit, Chris, you pronounced the name of the char well for your first stab at finnish :P

it doesn't need to be nerfed because unlike blizzard, ggg emphasizes customization which also encourages ingenuity

I cant speak on D3's combat, but TL2 does have better combat. Im not saying PoE's is bad but TL2 just feels better. At least in my Opinion
This build is pretty ridiculous O.o;; You have so many options and customization to your char that it would almost make every player unique
I had a friend who made a similar build but he got enough life regen to completely negate the fire damage. So, this build is junk.
I played it on and off every 4 months or so. Lets hope in the past 4 months you've managed to become less of an arsehole
His accent makes it a bit difficult to understand completely, but he says, "Path of Exile will enter open beta later this year."
If you want to play it that bad you could just pay $10 (or your regional equivalent) and get access while supporting the game.
way more echo in this vid chris
bigger office? or capping in the bathroom? :P
i still say we need a lot more skills points and we dont wanna stop at lvl 100!
no offense but you have been in this beta for over a year and dont know what "low life" means.....thats kinda sad
The game is far from complete, buy a supporter pack to get access to the beta and to support the development.
Yes they announced that they will do that. They wont do it between Open Beta and release though.
Вот оно!!!! Начало симуляторов ходьбы в Poe!!! 😂 😂 😂
Don't go to McDonalds today and put the 10 bucks in something that matters....like PoE :D
it will be released in final of october, don't worry ;D
in open beta they confirmed that.
Though this build is impressive, i don't really find it interesting to play, or watch :p
I think I heard Chris stating in a previous video that low life is anything under 35%.
Ah, thanks - it'd make a lot more sense for it to just say that to being with haha
the combat is not as good as Diablo 3/torchlight 2?
you must be joking, right?
you most likely have been answered but low life is less than 33% of your life
only for your buget my friend , but trust me not everybody can afford it
But he's right and your wrong. No need to be so defensive of your game.
Awesome Build... But can we get some Shadow, Ranger or Templar builds
This is the closest game there is to D2, so I really don't know...
Posting a hack for a game, on its developers page, U ARE SMART !
yet actualy playing it must be boring as shit ^^ gj tho on author
the cap is 75% but some flask mods can temporary increase the cap
A build that works, kills monsters and is fun, and the developers encourage it? Hey, Blizzard, take notes.
yes in your country ... in mine is the equivalent of 8 beers
i love the irony here :D
Once the closed beta has ended will you be reseting chars?
Of course the devs uploaded it, cos all videos are submitted to them by players and uploaded by the devs into their own channel as a featured video.
0.11.....Think again
GGG is also nerf-happy right now.
Finally someone stuck with it and made this build a reality, good for them. Also, the video looks zoomed in to me, which is weird.
This is what i love. He says "we never intended people to kill so effectively with righteous.. , but im glad he could do it". If he was blizzard he would have nerfed the spell and marauder, instead hes encouraging players to find their own spec that the makers didnt intend to make.
araku tiki was always trash 😂
haha, guess he really does go where he pleases
2:27 - is there a proper definition of "low life"? Always bugs me a bit when that phrase is used it games. I cannot wait for PoE to come out, I was one of the lucky first wave of people to get into the beta way back in september (or was it august?) of last year.

playing this build on hardcore must be 'fun'.
