Hey penatonix, merry Christmas, I hope your Christmas is filled with joy peace, grace, wonder, and the filling of Christ's love for each one of u.
This video is so special because it is stripped down to just PTX voices with no real choreography, no beatboxing, nothing but the beautifully blending voices. And virtually no leads either. PTX is speaking to us as one voice, pure and sweet.
This has that "Run To You" feel. I also feel like this is a total bonding in with Matt with the very personal setting under the single light similar to the "Light In the Hallway". I could be off with that assessment, but that's what it feels like to Me. I absolutely love this and you 5 marvelous people.
They bonded with Matt on their 1st Christmas tour together in 2017, so I do think you're way off with that assessment. However, it is a beautiful rendition of the song and one more reason why I think they hit gold when they found Matt 😀

Well it meant something to me for them to have a moment like this with Matt. They are doing this song on tour. PTX 5 part harmony is always special.
If that's how the song feels to you , don't worry what anyone else says. I felt the " Light in the Hallway" vibe when I saw the single light. It's a beautiful song no matter what!
Matt's been with them for years, i'm sure they're very bonded by now. You just need to watch behind the scene video's or instagram and see how well they get on.

In my opinion, this is the strongest point of your current tour. A real surprise and a total treat, no bombastic show, no huge sound, just your voices in a perfect balance. I didn't think much of the song when it first came out, but I cried so much when I heard it live.
This is the greatest a capella performance I’ve ever heard.

This! The level of control they have over their voices and how to blend together. That's a totally separate skill from being a talented soloist. And everyone in this band are professionals at both of those skills!!

so sorry about your loss. I lost my brother this year and I am now alone with no family members left. However My brother, who was my best friend, still is in contact with me. I get a gentle touch on the back of my wrist and I know that he wants me to call his wife as his passing was devastating for her. Within minutes my phone rings and it is her on the line. He died of cancer and it was his choice to stop fighting but let it happen. His choice to end suffering and struggling. I went through that with my husband. they just 'let go and the room becomes still, silent and they are no long in their body. You are not alone.

Simply stunning. ☺️ The arrangement, every single member’s performance, etc. Every aspect was stunningly beautiful. (And was inspired by a beautiful original by The Rescues…a GROSSLY underrated and rarely spoken-of group.)
I truly could never be forced to pick a favorite member of this group - I adore each member, past and present. Each and every one is a gorgeous human being with otherworldly talent. That being said, my ears are usually really drawn to one or two people in particular in any given song.
My ears are really drawn to Matt and Kirstie in this one. Kirstie emotes so well in this, and has the absolute sweetest tone. And Matt has been low-key slaying it even more than usual lately. His tone is sooooo velvety and rich and warm here. ☺️ Makes me feel like I’m wrapping up in the fuzziest blanket ever and snuggling with my dog by the fireplace. 😂 If that isn’t a compliment of the highest order, I’m not sure what is.
Imo this is better than the original. That first verse is beautiful, then you add Matt and Kevin and it jsut adds so much rich fullness. ❤❤❤
