Sample spots for WBZ-TV/Boston, WTHR-TV/Indianapolis and WNBC-TV/New York City are shown.

Im only 24, so this was about 12 years before i was born, but seriously love this campaign. wish TV today would be like this from the 80s

Even TV40 (NBC 40) in Atlantic City/ Wildwood had one during this time. However, it was just a generic network version promoting one of their old local shows called "Let's Talk Antiques". I got to see it a few years ago when I worked there.
WNBC (NBC 4) is my home NBC O&O station [yes, I'm from Newark, New Jersey] even tho I reside @ Miami, Florida as of 10/31/2007.

For the fans of this campaign, the spin offs used abroad.
In 1984, Australia's Channel Seven, used the same slogan and a similar song to this campaign: /watch?v=yF78K-3QqOg
In Brazil, SBT made the very same campaign in 1987. The lyrics, of couse, are in Portuguese: /watch?v=yF78K-3QqOg
The slogan is a little bit different but the music got the same result.
