It's really great to hear someone from overseas talk about an italian comic book with so much enthusiasm! I loved this story when it first came out over here and I'm really happy to see it gets recognition in the US as well. I'll definetely follow you from now on, really appreciated how you talked about all the comic books you presented.
I love these shows where we get an awesome guest/interview, then a good review of the weekly news, and then time to unwind at the end with chat and drawing.
It suddenly hit me that I haven't seen Jason Aaron since I met him when Southern Bastards was still new. Time has passed and we have aged. Glad he's still doing good work. I liked his southern crime works.
Hi Chris! Just wanted to say that was a great Herb Trimpe episode over at Comic Tropes. Followed him during his Godzilla, Defenders and G.I. Joe runs over at Marvel ages ago. He's such an underrated artist who really deserved so much more. On the AI issue, i'm crossing my fingers that the guy meant the ai in "ai+ photoshop" is Adobe Illustrator not Artificial Intelligence xD. And DWJ's "YOU KNOW THE SONG" is much too good a flashback! If memory serves me right, "Death Machine" has a very short but memorable Rachel Weisz cameo. It's also a very watchable cyberpunk film. Throwing in Stephen King's "The Mangler" for a movie selection. And yes, we've produced a couple of kaiju films here in the Philippines. First is "Anak ng Bulkan" or translated, "Child of the Volcano," and was made in 1959. It's our version of "Rodan." It was remade in 1997 by our very own king of B movies, Cirio H. Santiago. The second one is "Tuko sa Madre Kakaw" or as poorly translated by me is "Monitor Lizard in the Mother of Cocoa Tree." It featured a mad scientist who invents a growth formula aaannd yes, we know where this is going xD.
Have you ever considered doing two different shows a week? One for news and one for comic reviews? I love the comic review portion and I'd love for it to be even longer and potentially cover more books
I feel like i have a different favorite Turtle based on which iteration (the comics, the movies, the different cartoons)... just excellent characters overall.
This week I read the first volume of Atomic Robo which is fantastic and unfortunately the entire series is very out of print, so I'm happy I found a used copy of the beginning but sad I'll probably never get to read the rest. On a much more available note I started reading Spawn which has been reprinted in compediums that are an absolutely fantastic deal. Oh and also the Supreme arc of Charles Soule's Daredevil run from an omnibus I've been picking away at.
Two weeks of silence from Todd has me so upset. I was looking forward to picking up Sam and Twitch but I dont feel comfortable, especially with this 5 month interview with Todd going around where he endorses AI up until he says "if its ripping him off". We already found the winning image on midjourney's server along with alternate versions of it, it also looks nothing like the character The Heap.
X men 92 had six seasons, quite a long run. Alrhough the last season had that really bad animation. I wish Wolverine and the X Men had have gotten the revival instead or as well.
And work something out with Sony for a spectacular spider-man third season. As well as a third season of earth's mightiest heroes. Taking off the nostalgia glasses, those were the prime cartoons for these characters.
What does "looking into" means really? They just have to ask the artist if it was AI and ask to see his drafts or pencils or a proof that it was his creation..
So excited for the end of the Krakoan era. I know it's popular but not at all for me and as someone who got deep into comics through X-Men it's been weird staying current-ish (tpb reader) with a bit of pretty much everything but X-Men.

Seeing you go from a tiny Tuber to interviewing freaking Jason Aaron is so cool! Keep up the great work. One of my favorite channels

There was also a Groucho character in Shang-Chi/Master of Kung-Fu called Rufus T. Hackstabber. Great show as always, Chris! : )

Great interview with Jason!

I’d love to do that but I just don’t have enough time right now.
Anything that Bilquis Evely does, I have to buy. Her art is impeccable!
Really looking forward to Jason Aaron's TMNT. One of my favourite writers on a property I've been a fan of for so long.
Is “Victor” the AI Chris?

Chris, did you ever see the Dylan Dog movie with Brandon Routh? It's really bad 😂

looks like you can read the whole series on the Atomic Robo website?
So has anyone tried using AI with a Alan Moore script, since his descriptions for panels could be pages, according to legend
Where is Chris’ review of 8 billion genies? Can’t see it here or comic tropes?
Recording WITHIN a recording? Hope you don't break the simulation Chris
Turtle power
I call AI "artists" Prompters.

I hope he doesn't ruin it like he did the Punisher

Sigh, why does Seth Rogan get to produce so many comic projects.
Of all the people to stick on a popular series 💀 yikes.
