I started in 1986 when I was 21 and drove for 25 years and never had the desire to drive their slow anteater trucks but if they make you happy then rock on. I hope I did not offend y'all that was not my intentions, I am one of your followers and would like to chat with you and your co-driver just to keep up with how it is out there today
you should get one of those battery driven led strips for situations like this, would work wonders and then you'd for sure be able to see exactly what to line up with
I'm a CDL driver from Hawaii...I'm blown away by what you guys do on the mainland. Where I drive, every day, every turn, and every back-up situation is predictable. I have learned so much from watching this channel. Much respect for what you do. And as a bonus you two are cool cats with positive attitudes. I really like this channel!
Have been watching ur vids for a while now and I really enjoy trucking vids from the US. Im a trucker myself from Finland ( Estonian nationality to be correct ) I am driving a 32 meter ( 104 feet 11 inches ) long truck. Well with 2 conteiners 40 each size and a total weight of 76 000 kg= 167 551 lb. But I would love to drive in the US. Love to roads and the trucks that have better living space. U both r awesome, keep up the good work !
I went to truck driving school in Chipley Florida. They taught us backing skills by painting two parallel lines in the parking lot and the inside measurement of the width left 6" on each side of the truck. oh yes, the length was 60 feet you could pull forward 2 times.
Dave, I really appreciate all of your time and efforts that goes into making and editing these videos. I'm sure it's no easy feat. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to you and Billie Jo. Stay Safe and healthy.
It's funny see you pull through Lewisville, as that was my hometown when I was a kid. And I know that whole mall area, and actually remember watching it being built back in the early 80s.
You know i love it when drivers complain about some places they have to back into . This shows how inexperienced a driver is when they cant back into these places or have to pull up a dozen times . Dave i go to a place in a old busy town where they do the city's recycling, its in the worse place they could put it , very narrow street ( so narrow they didnt put dividing lines down the middle ) business district on one end of the road and houses on the next , these roads are still the same width from the horse and buggy days . Its either back in the narrow gate blind sided or go past turn down residential street just past the place then back across the road you were just on backing up hill with the trlr bumper almost scraping the pavement, then go back and back the gate from driver side . They ladies in the office said that One of our drivers got there and just told the customer and our company that they werent even goin to attempt it and left . Its a skill that not all drivers have being able to back in tight spots . To me the tighter the easier for me .
Dave and Billie Joe. I look foward to all your videos. Y'all seem like people that are so likable. Keep those nice videos coming but the main thing is STAY SAFE STAY WELL!!!!! FRANKIE LONG ISLAND
I can't understand Dave you put your stuff on back DOT bummer and it always falling off. But also I noticed that DOT bummer loves eat things bushes chain links fencing or a yellow pole. And I forgot about ice 🧊 remember seeing that on my bummer during the winter season 🙃
Lovin' the early truck drivin' videos. Traffic lights mostly very fast to change, no traffic, perfect atmosphere for driving. Keep Up the great Work Dave! (PS, 10 mile freeway traffic videos are the best lol)
Hello Dave and Billy Joe! I really enjoy your videos, I watch another CFI driver as well and he is also fairly new to this career and I find that both seem very satisfied with your career choices, and that you are both very honest with the good and the bad as well as VERY informative ,incisive, and educational. With that being said, I'm a single 57yr old who is thinking about a career change, I currently have been working in manufacturing for 30+yrs., and 30years ago I had a FL state class b, and drove a 32ft. Cabover Mitsubishi Fuso part time for a paint and hardware company for 2 and a half years there, I am interested in applying with a good company that offers the education as well to possibly start a career in this industry, I reside in the buckeye state. Any advice you can give me if you want would be appreciated if not that's ok, maybe you and Billy Joe just might run into each other sometime, looking into your links for the info, stay safe and keep on trucking !
Starting with a new company today out of Kennesaw GA, hope too run into you somewhere, keep the rubber side down and the wheels a turning drivers yall be safe
I just realized that billy jo has been in a video before her first debut. Dave had to back at a place with his truck in the street but before that he didn't know where the dock was so he called his "assistant" and the lady speaking was billy jo The video was upload April,23,2021 and the time stamp is 4:40-5:10 It makes you wonder
Love your content bro! I swear my trainer and I passed you in Santa Clause Indiana headed eastbound! Looked like Billy Joe driving! We were headed west! Enjoying it so far! Ya'll stay safe!
Real truckers ain't put them down until they back in the truck! And real truckers dont drive for CFI with this those damn 60mph trucks! God dam lmao hahaha
I love you guys videos Everytime I'm driving between my dorm room and my home I'm always looking for cfi trucks looking to see if it's you two unfortunately the only cfi I found was just the trailer pulled by another company
Hey dave im considering on doing solo driving with cfi once i get my schooling payed with my current company i dont have any terminals in iowa though gotta find the closes one
Well I just lost my job and now I am kind of interested in possibly getting in this field. I don't have a cdl, but what is the first thing I should do?
Hi, I'm new here. just found your channel. Can you tell me if your company offers health insurance. If so, what company do they use for health insurance and about how much does it cost you? Thank you, and sorry if you've already answered this in a past video.

My job is getting me my class a cdl. Im gonna drive a tandem axle dump truck with a 40’ trailer. Im so excited
It seems like getting deliveries was just an after thought the way they put their loading docks were placed 👍
You'd be surprised how many places that rely on truck traffic are inconvenient for trucks.
Thats Truckin Dave Thats Truckin.... Little miss Billy Joe was curbing it today huh lol. You guys are awesome 👌
The times i had to back up to a dark dock I'd bungee cord a flashlight to the trailer bumper pointing backwards just so I can see.

Everytime I see a Harbor Freight, it makes me want to call Snap-On or Mac. I guess I'm just built different :)
Man my stomach hurts when she walked between the trailer and dock. I don't want to see anything happen to Billy Jo. THINK SAFTY .
Same here. I just made the comment also, then saw this one.
was looking for this, if suspension suddenly drops and that trailer jerks with that little space. oh my.
I cringed as well when she walked between the trailer and dock. Bad place to be even briefly. Great video tho.

Hey Dave do you ever drive or just billy-joe? Would like to see a video of you driving and backing
Same here I had that same question
Rumor has it he got fired... Not sure though...
I was just going to ask the same question. We could ask whatever happened to being a badass with the Jeep and off road camper dream too.
I ask that a few days. No reply
I’ve been wondering the same thing.
Looks like Texas? All American interstates look exactly the same to me.
Omg, Dave. Perky pecker stffie coffee, haha!!! Hope you and BillieJo have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Loved your video. Stay safe:)

Placing yourself in between the dock and trailer is asking for trouble. That's the kill zone.
Great video guys but please be careful when your standing between the trailer and the dock you can get crushed!!!
