Hello. Thank you for your time in making this ladies. I’d like to ask about a bit more about the history of trope (ta’om? I’m new to the language of Hebrew 😆).
It was stated that a group of rabbis added the marks to the written scriptural words in order for individuals to be able to torah chant. Was the torah always orally chanted is where I am going at or was it modernized sort to speak? I hope I am making this inquiry as clear as possible.
