The Barca that we witnessed that day, wasn’t even a faded copy of Barca at its height, we’ve watched lamed squad the reached the quarter final because of a single player, and when any opponent succeed to man mark that single player, the team faces dilemma that leads it to play randomly, which in turn leads to disastrous results. As old time fan of Barca, I knew that Bayern would beat Barca, simply because Bayern is the better team among the two, yet Barca players, including Leo, didn’t fight back for their dignity. We, the Barca fans, fed up of receiving bitter defeat over and over again: Rome, Juve, Liverpool, and finally we received the bitterest and most humiliating defeat from Bayern. This time, Bayern install a collar of shame on Barca’s neck. If Barca has any dignity left, it should drastically uproot its governing authorities, be it the board or technical management or the whole lazy asses players. This is the only way that Barca could prove to the world that the club is bigger than any individual!
It may sounds weird but Barca is just a average team in Europe without Messi. Messi is there so they r able to play in Champions League. Without him Barca can't even reach the Champions League. Without Messi Barca will be among no 8-15 teams in Laliga. And that's d reality. Everyone knows it.
But Barca won't be that Barca without Messi.. leave Barcelona, even Laliga will lose it's values without him. People around the world, do watching Barcelona, Because of Messi and everyone knows it.
Âres Gaming✓ Read me again! I didn’t doubt the great deal of value that Messi brings to football world, yet Messi or any other great player aren’t immortal or even aren’t immune from aging and weakness. If we agree on this particular point, I’d ask: shall the Barca fans succumb to that and give their great club away? Or they should put all possible pressure to get rid of this failing management and put in power a visionary Adminstration team to fill up Barca’s vitrines with trophies again?
The foundation of Bayern's success is great physical preparation. Also Flick worked with Loew, so he knows how to prepare team for short and intensive tournament. So when they were so well prepared, they could apply that pressing. And Hansi Flick's tactics also hit this very spot when it hurt the most
This is what I always was telling, To beat Barcelona or Man City you have to keep at last three forwards right to the defense line to leave them without the defense backup. I would even go farther, assign one forward right next to goalie. Neither Barca nor ManU have no idea how to play if they don't have their goalie as a safe haven. They have no idea what to do if can't drop the ball back to their goalie. And by the way, in this game ter Stegen showed his real quality when he's on the constant pressure, unlike usually having one two shots in his direction for the whole game.
I wish you spoke more about Bayern's 'second wave pressing' where the front 2/3 press a bit to force the pass to midfield where the '2nd wave' (bayern's midfield and/ or wingers press quickly to intercept or tackle
Barca really lacking good defence shape and pressing by the plyrs, when it comes to pressing, i find barca front got no intrst in doing so.. like its nvr their job !!
Bayern had better tactics and flat out better players. Lewandoski in the middle causes such an issue then Perisic whether starting or sub owns LM. Solid acceleration for big guy so can get around corner when needed, then 2 footed finishing creates a dilemma for defender. The overall energy was so much better as well. Messi likely leaving will be good for Barca to refresh their identity.
This was a masterpiece of hansi flick. And a great teamspirit of bayern. It's only wow. Maybe this mix of all statergy will be of future play against top teams who have weak teams.
Age of messi slowly dissipates as tactics can work against him as bayern has shown, messi is getting too old to do its solo thing. He has lost too many balls in his own half that lead to a goal. After watching this I am 80% sure that bayern Munich will win the champions league after 7 years! Barcelona was way better when Pep Guardiola was the coach, there is a chance that messi will switch to man city as man city is full of young awesome talents and they are one of the only rich enough to pay for him. Let's see but if it happens I will be sad him leaving barca
@@Jacobcr93 lmao messi is infinitely better than cristiano at resisting the press. He literally is a midfielder these days and is a la masia player. The best one.

Many people compare this game to the 2014 World Cup semi-final match were Brazil suffered a 7-1 against Germany. Ironically, FC Bayern is a German professional sports club, and this game, most of the players in FC Bayern consisted of mostly German players, particularly Thomas Muller who scored the first goal in the 7-1 result against Brazil and now the first goal against Barcelona. Despite the fact that Bayern were heavy favourites coming into this match, the results of both this game and the 2014 WC semi-finals are shocking and humiliating. If only the stadium had fans at full capacity, I would have loved to see the reactions of the live crowd. Another thing I want to point out is that it seems like German players are seriously giving Messi a tough time. Here are some examples: . In the 2006 World Cup quarter final (Messi's first WC), Argentina were beaten and eliminated by Germany in penalty shootouts . In the 2010 World Cup quarter final, Argentina were again beaten and eliminated by Germany with a scoreline of 4-0. The match's first goal was scored by Muller in the first three minutes. . In the 2014 World Cup final, Argentina (captained by Messi for the first time), was defeated by Germany 1-0 in extra time. . Now finally FC Bayern (a team consisting mostly on German players) defeat Barcelona 8-2. Unironically the biggest defeat Messi has ever encountered in his senior career in Barcelona.
One aspect of the truth is that Kovac was pressuring the Bayern bosses to buy faster/fastest players. He also transformed Davies to a left back. And while Kovac failed, he layed the ground to some extend for Flick. And remember, the game against the Spurs was still under Kovac. He was unpopular with the players because he demanded more fitness and more athleticism. He demanded from the players 30-60 min cycling after (!) the regular training. And while Kovac did also huge mistakes like thinking that Müllers time is over, he still played an important role in the prelude of the season and putting the focus on important aspects for this style of play!
Your last sentence is so true and exactly my opinion. Barcelona was not bad, Bayern was just tooo good. The only club who could defeat a full potential Bayern was Real Madrid but even as a Madrid and Ronaldo fan I would not be sure if we would win against them. We would lose 4:1 or something.
Not so easily,Ronaldo is a better poacher than lewandoski and a better ramsdeuter than muller, marcelo is a better playmaker than davies-zidane's tactics are just out of world for anybody to handle especially the champions league when Ronaldo is with them.Because Davies and alaba are fast enough but still Ronaldo's speed, fitness, jumping and poaching abilities are just too big a threat for the defence which has always been.
One of the most agility and stamina dependent match I had ever watched, beside the mentality of German tactics. By the way, it's unwise to show any type of hesitations or weakness against German players as they wouldn't get easy with you, that is obvious against Brazil and now against Barcelona.
Thank god someone finally said "Bayern munich were too good rather than barcelona being bad". When people say otherwise, is like all the hardwork bayern did means nothing. Thanks for the analysis. It was good and spot on.
@@MexiCooki hi.. yes Gilbert a good point you made.. but if you look at Barca after 5'th goal they lost the mentality to even fight.. which should not have happened.. so Bayern crushed the hopes of them even for a come back.. so you need to give pros to Bayern for doing that.. thanks :)

The question is Which tactic you can play against this strategy against bayern. Maybe barca can change it but I think the haven't the players to win against bayern. I think barcalona play not bad but this bayern and tactic was too good. The tactic and teamspirit was of bayern players to amazing.
I can only think some solutions that even might not work/successful... 1. Park the bus, counter 2. Lightning fast winger 3. Tall, big target man centre forward
I'm a barcelona fan but maaaan hansi flick is a genius Some bayern players were considered as ended players like nuer muller and boateng but flick made them superstar again As for the tactis that was a pure class Bayern did a perfect match And as you said they were too good for barcelona Huge respect
bayern coach is very cool. he doesn't speak much on pitch with his assistants and players, no happy or sad feelings even after the win. these all things all good for the whole team as they can play without any pressure. remember how PSG was playing with Tuchel shouting at every ball.
the problem is that when you play in a diamond 4-4-2 the wings are wide open and with the speed of Davies and Gnabry Bayern Munich just killed Barcelona...
Tore us to shreds. Revenge from 2015 at its best. That was the joint most painful football experience of my life. 1, 8-2 and 2, Germany Vs Brazil. Hats off to Bayern though. Barca got taught a lesson on how to play. We played worse than a Sunday league team.
Very interesting! Imho, it shows how subpar Barcelona's recruitment and planning was. Yes Flick's tactics was really good, but to me it seems he also benefited massively to the fact that his team's strengths were tailored made to exploit Barcelona's substantial weaknesses. Suarez and Messi don't press -> Bayern's high quality CBs have time to send the killer pass. Suarez and Messi don't defend -> rest of the team has to cover for them smh by awkwardly keeping some sort of shape -> perfect for space poachers like Lewandoski and Muller who are uber-experts at creating and exploiting space. Suarez has become slow(-ish) -> Bayern can play a high line with no hesitation because either their super fast WBs can track back in time or Neuer can sweep the ball away. Barca lack decent wingers who provide and defend width-> Bayern can defend narrow, set up a pressing trap when the ball goes to the FBs, and uses their super fast WBs to overload. Bayern had really high quality players, who when assembled and coached in the right way were the perfect anti-barca.
German engineering and precision, implemented on the field.

@@kamelalkhatti9360 yaeh..I can understand it. But d problem is with Barca's Board specially with the president.
Whose here after he demolished Bayern and Real Madrid with the invincible High line🔥🔥🔥
The foundation of Bayern's success is great physical preparation. Also Flick worked with Loew, so he knows how to prepare team for short and intensive tournament. So when they were so well prepared, they could apply that pressing. And Hansi Flick's tactics also hit this very spot when it hurt the most
I was so confused about the title. Tore = Goals in german.

Tore is just goal not goals
@@PauluzP Tore is goals, Tor ist goal
what a great video about one of my favourite game as a bayern fan, u definitely should break down more football matches💯
saw this video so many times
Psg watching this like we are still going loose
It was a masterpiece of football tactics.
Waiting for Part 2 this year
This is what I always was telling, To beat Barcelona or Man City you have to keep at last three forwards right to the defense line to leave them without the defense backup.
This is the greatest tactical analysis I have ever seen .. awesome work 💯👏🇩🇪
Barca really lacking good defence shape and pressing by the plyrs, when it comes to pressing, i find barca front got no intrst in doing so.. like its nvr their job !!
Barca is lacking everything... from Board of Directors to waterboys
they’re lacking on attacking speed
Yeah ronaldo at age of 33 scored five against Bayern.... Messi simply can't handle press
@@Jacobcr93 lmao messi is infinitely better than cristiano at resisting the press.
He literally is a midfielder these days and is a la masia player. The best one.
@@asdflkj2041 at least Ronaldo is a threat during the whole 90 minutes due to him being tall and an enormous jump height he possess. When his team is doing corners messi is of a little use

Thanks for the breakdown of the tactics 👍🏽 Just subscribed
Good analysis, explained how the hell Bayern can create so much goal in semifinals against opponent like Barca. You deserve thumbs up and subs bro.
Here are some examples:
. In the 2006 World Cup quarter final (Messi's first WC), Argentina were beaten and eliminated by Germany in penalty shootouts
Biggest B.S. ive ever read 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@taftybufty Ye I know u bayern fan boys hates Kovac too. Cuz he won with Frankfurt in the DFB Cup against Bayern.
@@taftybufty unpopular opinion: Bayern would have win 2020 UCL with Kovač
Great Analysis.. Good Job...
Coman’s Loan from juventus in 2016 was a excellent success for Bayern as well
Born in Paris. Score the decision goal against his academy club psg. Football write a small story.
Your so underrated, pure genius
Welcome to Barcelona Flick!
Bayern perfectly out played Barcelona from the first to the last minute during this game!
One of the most agility and stamina dependent match I had ever watched, beside the mentality of German tactics. By the way, it's unwise to show any type of hesitations or weakness against German players as they wouldn't get easy with you, that is obvious against Brazil and now against Barcelona.
I was watching the game live. Excellent review of why it has unfolded in this manner
Good analysis as usual, Hope Gary Neville learns from you and his term in Valencia before commenting on others...
who’s here after Flick signed for Barça
😊
Who knew just after that humiliation both Lewandowski and hansi flick will come to barca😂😂😂
Tomorrow, they will face bayern, i hope Barcelona can win, so lewy and flick can have something like 'apologies' for 8-2 hahaha
@@N123Rthey play in 3 weeks?

Thank god someone finally said "Bayern munich were too good rather than barcelona being bad". When people say otherwise, is like all the hardwork bayern did means nothing. Thanks for the analysis. It was good and spot on.
Well I mean Barca being bad did play a large part in the score. No good team should concede 8 goals
@@MexiCooki hi.. yes Gilbert a good point you made.. but if you look at Barca after 5'th goal they lost the mentality to even fight.. which should not have happened.. so Bayern crushed the hopes of them even for a come back.. so you need to give pros to Bayern for doing that.. thanks :)

hands down one of the best performances in football history
I love how the perfect coach is just some guy that looks like a local plumber
Love your work brother. You should post more often.
This match is a gamble for the respective managers. It shows the extreme details for both managers.
1. Park the bus, counter
2. Lightning fast winger
3. Tall, big target man centre forward
Flick and these Bayern’s players are amazing
Celebrating two years since the football farce!

I'm a barcelona fan but maaaan hansi flick is a genius
Some bayern players were considered as ended players like nuer muller and boateng but flick made them superstar again
As for the tactis that was a pure class
Bayern did a perfect match
And as you said they were too good for barcelona
Huge respect
hansi flick deserves to be among pep and Mourinho, he is one of the best managers of all time
bayern coach is very cool. he doesn't speak much on pitch with his assistants and players, no happy or sad feelings even after the win. these all things all good for the whole team as they can play without any pressure. remember how PSG was playing with Tuchel shouting at every ball.
the problem is that when you play in a diamond 4-4-2 the wings are wide open and with the speed of Davies and Gnabry Bayern Munich just killed Barcelona...
its 4-2-4
@@lp.shakur no it's 4-4-2
Hansi flick playing 4D chess right here right now
Absolutely fascinating. Thanks for the expert analysis!
Fun fact: "Tore" is also the german word for "goals". Quite fitting for that game, I'd say.
Great content😀
i am a barca fan and i hate this match but what you say it is intesting i hope barcelona watches this video and learn their lesson
