I immediately fell in love with the song, and spent hours trying to find out what the song was called. Absolutely love this song with my entire heart and it's been my favorite song ever since. The slowed version is just as good.
I think David Bowie would love the way this song is being used now. Even if it's only for a short term internet meme, it's genuinely one of the greatest memes we can get. Superman was created for those in tough times, and even though people of the past had it worse, we dont appear to have much to look foreward to, so its nice to have a reminder that the inherent beauty of the human spirit will never be lost

I dated a girl for eight years, but we broke up almost a year ago. We're still close, but there's a reason I bring this up and how it give significance to the name of "Starman" to me. A couple months ago, I was watching the nickelodeon kids choice Awards when the ads came on. After a couple of normal ads, the Lightyear trailer came on and this song started playing. I knew I knew it from somewhere, I just knew that voice. I couldn't figure it out so I looked it up, and this was it. I was so surprised it was David Bowie. I hadn't listened to his music in years, and this song is what got me back into him. Now, I'm one of the biggest Bowie fans. Thank you Bowie.
