5 years ago I left my career as a cook of 15 years to become a pilot. I am now an airline pilot and I've never been happier. When I am flying an aiplane is when I feel most free. I don't feel like I'm "stuck in a metal tube" at all. I have the worlds best view at work and the mental stimulus combined with the time I have to just think about life, talk philosophy with my copilots, it's the best job on the planet. It's funny that he says I would be happier as a chef than a pilot because I am 100% the opposite in real life. I'm still a new airline pilot and still I work maybe 2 weeks a month and make more than double most of my friends. I like Gad, but he's wrong about this in that he doesn't take into account that different people's brains operate different. That "freedom" he says is key to happeniess has ALWAYS felt like a prison to me.

I’m in Beverly Hills and woke up at 4 AM to an emergency alert telling everyone to stay home bc “life-threatening” weather. I decided to stay home and skip my morning swim workout. Later that day I heard everything was fine and a large group of ppl showed up for the 5:30 AM outdoor workout in Santa Monica. 🤦🏼‍♀️

"Fat Bottom Girls" is a great song, but its about a guy being molested by his obese nanny as a child and how it gave him a craving for fat chicks later in life. It's not really child friendly. Of course they left in a song about a guy facing execution for murder (Bohemian Rhapsody), a song about a mafia shoot out (Another One Bites the Dust) and a song about a high priced hooker (Killer Queen).

I used to deliver mail. About 20 years ago and it was pouring rain. I came up to four teens sitting on the porch and one of them asked me why I was working in the rain, why I didn't call my supervisor and call in sick. WTF?
I now have a lanyard attached to my fob, which I clasp onto a belt loop because it slipped out of my pocket twice and slid between the seat and the center divider. I couldn't leave my car because someone could have driven it away. I hate push button ignitions and fobs.
